Jim is terrific. He is the type of guy you want to come to your house and provide a service. Very personable, friendly and professional. Great response time, had all the proper equipment needed in his truck. Has key maker in his truck and is well equipped to do a proper cost-efficient job in a timely manner. Would easily recommend Jim and his son to friends and family. Jim takes the time to educate his clients on what they need, how it can be accomplished and the best ways to accomplish his customers goal. Would easily do business with Jim again. I wish google could let me give more than just 5 stars! Avoid wasting your time with other vendors in the area just call Jim at A1 and get peace of mind.

Jim was prompt (he actually arrived before I did!) and professional. The price he quoted me over the phone is exactly what I paid (plus tax, but thats a given), plus he did a little extra and fixed the door jamb because of a missing strike plate that I didnt even realize was causing issues!! And the cost wasnt bad at all to begin with. He was polite and efficient and my door is now working better than it ever has before! I would recommend A1 to anyone with door/lock issues and if I ever need such services again, I know who Ill be calling!!

Jim and his son Patrick showed up at my parents house of which my brother and myself bought my parents new dead bolts and locks for all the doors. Both Jim and Patrick re-keyed existing locks and installed the dead bolts. They did a fantastic job, had great conversation with both while they were here the whole time. Patrick actually even fixed an existing 30+ year old door handle inside the house for no extra cost. Was a great experience and I tipped them well for their services. Highly suggest these folks for ANY locksmith service.

I needed a locksmith to install a deadbolt on my door. I called Jim up and he was extremely polite and set up an appointment right away. He kept me in the loop to when he would arrive. He is extremely professional and his work was quick and efficient. I would recommend him to anyone in the Stamford area who is in need a locksmith. Pros: A-1 Locksmith provided extremely fair prices and were extremely friendly. They were extremely professional and one of the best locksmith I have ever dealt with.

Jim honored his appointment day & time, called prior to his arrival and disclosed his fees over the phone so there were no surprises. He repaired two broken doorknobs and exceeded our expectations by returning one of them back to operating function which we did not think was possible. He was efficient, intelligent and courteous. I thought Charles Stuttig Locksmith was the one to call but they were scheduling two weeks out. Jim scheduled me for next day service.

I own a Doggy Day Care called Lucky Come Learn in Stamford CT... I rent a building, which has lots of doors that get a lot of use! I was still shocked when one of them stopped opening completely yesterday and was truly grateful that after calling A1 Locksmiths, James arrived within 30 minutes and not only fixed that door but tuned up all the others at basically no cost!! We needed our locks changed quickly last evening. Called A-1 because they list their address as well as phone number on their website. (The internet is full of locksmiths with only a phone number). Jim, the owner, called back within the hour and met us at our property 10 minutes later. He was super nice, and got the job done quickly and professionally, at a reasonable price. It is no wonder that he is the best in the region. I tell all my friends that they are the place to call when you are locked out or need locks changed. I called to get my lock changed and they came on time. I need them change at 7pm when I got home from work and they came immediately. I am very impressed with the level of customer service they provide. The guy was very nice and pleasant but overall he was fast and efficient. I am super happy and would recommend them to anyone. Plus he gave me extra keys free of charge.

I called this company for a duplicate key for my business. The guy who answered was EXTREMELY RUDE! Ask me if I was serious looking for a locksmith to make a duplicate key?? He told me to go to a hardware store! I have never been treated so rudely!!! If I wanted to spend my money with a locksmith why would he deter me??? DO NOT DO NOT USE A1 Locksmith

A1 Locksmith helped me out of a big problem. I had locked the keys of a client in their house. I was worried that it would be a bad reflection on me and my business. Jim and Patrick came out right away and got me into the house and I was so relieved. The owner found out later but was not upset since A1 had taken care of the issue. Highly recommended!
