I have been coming to Bad Hair Day? since 1993. Ive had Bobby Carolan as a stylist for the last 7 years. He is not only a skilled professional but his personal attention is warm and caring and genuine. Ive been seeing Tom Rooney for massage therapy for the almost three years. Both my orthopedist and chiropractor marvel at the healing Ive been able to achieve with Toms massage on my bilateral torn rotator cuffs. He is truly gifted. The staff at the front desk have a wonderful combination of warmth and professionalism. They are highly attentive and hospitable. I love that they offer you water, coffee or tea (caff or decaff) as well as wine or beer while you wait. After your shampoo, when its time for the conditioner, you also get fresh cucumber slices applied to your eyes, followed by the application of a hot (or cold) moist towel. Hand cream is also applied to your hands which are then wrapped in a hot, moist towel. And, the conditioner is applied with an absolutely wonderful scalp massage that goes on long enough for you to wish it would never end. HEAVEN! After your hair is styled - especially if you are going out after your session, you can see Kathy for a free application of make up. Yes, of course, shell show you some of the products with the implicit suggestion that you consider purchasing what she uses, but she is perfectly fine if you decline. If you dont like something - anything - about your service, speak up - while you are there - and they will work hard to make it right. The prices can seem high but you get what you pay for. Take advantage of the specials which make occasional extra treats possible and affordable. Thank you, Drexel, for creating a wonderful place where every day is a good day after I visit Bad Hair Day? Dont know what the first three people on this list are talking about, but I agree with the most recent two. I am a mildly disabled guy who decided to indulge in a full body massage along with my haircut, and my first time was a magical experience. Yeah, it is a little expensive, but the place is full of vibrant energy, and truly sincere staff. Anecdote: So I was already in heaven after the body massage, then I had the shampoo and scalp massage, and before the haircut one of them asked if I would like a drink, and thinking I would be ironic, I said, "The only thing that could make this better is scotch." To which he responded, "Well, we dont serve liquor, but we do have beer and wine." Thinking he was joking, I said, "Oh sure, Ill take a chilled chardonnay..." And not only was it free, and delicious, but it made an otherwise mundane haircut so sweet. Just get an appointment in advance, and dont rush it. Ill be going back as often as I can.

I was getting married in Rehoboth and booked hair and makeup for myself (bride), Makeup for my mom, hair for his mom and haircut & hot shave for the groom. I loved my hair, and that was the good part. However grooms barber came in 40 min late and the first thing he said was: "Aw, i didnt know you will be on time". Because of him coming late we had to run our ceremony an HOUR LATE!!!! Thats unforgivable! As for my makeup the artist was great but i didnt realize they will only use Aveda cosmetics - which is all natural but doesnt do the job as well as conventional. I loved lashes but i didnt like the base - it looked like a mask both on me and my mom. It intensified all the wrinkles, instead of hiding them. Even my husband said he didnt like my makeup - it looked cakey to him... That said - if you go there for a hair-do - Jessica is amazing, but pick another place to do your makeup.

Absolutely LOVED our experience at Bad Hair Day from start to finish. This was our first time in Rehoboth and we were looking for a place to get massages as part of a bachelorette party. When I called, I spoke with Sara who was AMAZING! She not only was extremely friendly, but she also provided us with wonderful ideas and restaurants to try. When we arrived at the spa, everyone was welcoming and the location was beautiful. We were allowed to bring our own champagne and Sara set up a cute little table with flowers, cups, a sign, and candy. Our massages were incredible and very affordable. This was a great way to start our weekend and left a great first impression of the beautiful town. I would absolutely return when I am in the area again.

I have been going to BHD for the past 6 years after a friend of mine suggested it to me! I have been so thankful for finally finding an amazing spa/salon to go to that is near me that offers absolutley FABULOUS haircuts. I have really bushy fried hair and I am always some how walking out of the salon with gorgeous hair! The hair stylists are always corteous, offering drinks when you first step in the door, even the receptionists are always cheery and can brighten your day :) My hairstylist is Kimmie and she does a fabulous job cutting and styling my thick and dry hair and has helped me throughout the years to figure out not only how to manage it but how to embrace it and bring out its natural beauty. KIMMIE IS A LIFESAVER!

Ive been to the same hair dresser for 15 yrs so I am a skeptic when I had to look for a replacement because Ive had to relocate for a new career. (My previous stylist owns an Aveda hair salon in Boston.) So naturally I Googled Aveda salons and found this little gem while I was on vaca. The salon is beautiful, the staff is friendly, and they treat my waiting guest nicely while Im getting a trim from Jahnava right after Ive spent the entire day biking and sunning at the beach. Thanx Jahnava! Ive already been back to her for a 2nd trim!

I got a massage package from my in-laws as a Christmas present. I was very happy that they let me customize my package (was supposed to include a manicure and pedicure but I opted to get some products instead- simply because I dont GET manicures nor pedicure, not because I didnt trust them or anything of that nature!) The half-hour massage was WONDERFUL! So relaxing and greatly enhanced by all of the good-smelling Aveda products that were used. I wish I lived closer- Id definitely treat myself to massages more often!

Weve been coming here for years and will come for many more! Drexel, the owner, prides himself on making everyone feel welcome and appreciated. ALL the employees go out of their way to make your experience there special. We typically do mani-pedis and massages, but have done other services, and have NEVER been disappointed! ALL services also come with "extras" such as hair washing or makeup application. Ive gone to other spas outside of DE but will always keep coming to BHD when I need some true pampering!!

I only went to get my nails done,but Ill definitely be coming back and definitely will be recommending the place to our guests at my job. Adam is the person I had the appointment with and he was just incredible and sooo professional. You want to really relax all the way? Come to Bad Hair day!!
