Best Messenger saved me from professional disaster, so I am happy to write this review for them. I had to submit a large grant proposal to the NIH, and their deadlines are notoriously strict. I am new to the area, and thought I would take advantage of my proximity to the Center for Scientific Review by having the grant hand-delivered by courier the day it was due. A friend recommended Best Messenger to me, so I called them the day before to make the arrangements. I spoke to Martin on the phone. He was not only courteous and professional but literally saved the day! He told me that the job itself was no problem and that I didn’t even need to set it up in advance. But my plan was a problem. Martin explained that the CSR does not accept grant submissions that are delivered by courier, and that the only way to get the grant in on time would be to ship it overnight that same evening via FEDEX. I would have panicked, but there was no need; Martin knew the locations and operating hours of all the local POs and FEDEX offices. He told me what time the grant would have to be ready if I was going to make the submission, and how much it would cost. The driver arrived promptly on time, and they made the delivery to FEDEX with time to spare. I am so glad that I called Best Messenger. I’m sure there are plenty of other companies who would have taken the job, failed to deliver, and then charged me anyway! There is no question that if not for Martin’s inside knowledge of DC courier work and Best Messenger’s exceptional customer service standards, I would not have gotten my grant in on time. All I can say is you don’t have to wonder why they call them “Best”! Oh, and the cost? $15 dollars!!

These people are horrible. They are impatient, the customer service is that of a 2 year old and I think a 2 year old might be better. The manager, Martin, told me that I should not use the courier service if I am weak of heart because he does not have time to answer my questions and spend time doing that. He was too busy, mind you I called at 5pm and they close at 7pm. I had to call 3 times because they never had prices on hand and he told me I was calling too much. Arent they a business? Their prices although they are published are higher than others, They told me that they could do the job for $100, the courier I used told me $75. I am a concierge and use couriers all the time. This is, by far, not my first time but it will be my last time with them. They are poorly established, poorly organized, and unable to even pretend like they have a personality. From what I heard from the background, which was a lot because they do not have the professionalism to keep their converstions low when they are taking request from customers, these are a bunch of old useless man that have no other future but the sad and pitful one that they have developed.Oh and he told me that my 7pm delivery would be hard and he would have to charge me more because most of his couriers would be drunk by then. WOW. PS. the manager, martin, who took my request told the other guys to "shut up" and whoever Bob is doesnt seem to know what he is doing there, because Martin yelled at him several times to stop doing things. This company is far from the best, I cant even say they are bad, more like the worst, horrible!

As other reviewers, I found myself in what seemed like an impossible bind. I was waiting for my Spanish Visa to be approved and with only a few days before I was set to depart, I was told I needed a document to be approved by the State Dept. in DC before the Visa would be issued. This posed a huge problem given that I live in San Diego and had a 3 day window to get the document to DC and back. I called Best Messenger Inc and they immediately understood the strict time constraints and my concerns. They promised to do whatever it took to intercept my Fed Ex Package and harass (for lack of a better term) the powers that be to make sure the document was reviewed and returned to me that day so that I would not have to cancel my trip. Needless to say, I received the document back the day before my departure with only a 1-day turnaround, which i am told is unheard of when it comes to the State Dept. This can only be attributed to Best Messengers persistence and dedication to serving their clients needs. In addition, the customer service was unbeatable and even if I had not gotten the document in time, I felt assured Best Messenger was doing everything in their power to help me and also to keep me up-to-date on their efforts. Finally, the cost was totally affordable. In my case, I would have spent triple what I paid, but what a relief to know that there are companies out there that arent preying on their clients unfortunate circumstances. My gratitude and highest recommendations to Best Messenger Inc.

I live out of town and I was nervous about choosing a courier service to deliver a Valentines Day gift for me. I called Best Messenger and it was the best experience. From the time I called, they asked all the right questions to ensure I would get the lowest price. That showed me my business was important to them. On pick-up day, they went above and beyond to fight the crowds to pick up my order. Then to my surprise, my friend was not there to receive the package. They made special arrangements to allow him to still get the package. They spent a ton of time making sure that my delivery was complete. That is what I call service. There is NOT another courier service I would use. From Beginning to End, they were the BEST.. I understand why they are called Best Messenger!!!

Best Messenger Inc is an incredibly efficient and prompt service. I had a rather tricky and highly important delivery that needed to be made to the French Embassy, and Martin was very helpful. He was easy to talk to, friendly, incredibly prompt both by email and phone. Martin was very forthcoming about the rates and made sure that I understood what the surcharges were. They quickly made the delivery and kept me up to date with every step. Ive never dealt with a courier service before and was apprehensive about such, but Best Messenger made this experience a breeze. I highly recommend using them.

Like many of the other reviews, we were in a bind with regards to a required travel visa and a short turn-around. Corry and Pete were awesome! They had to jump through hoops around the consulate only being open 1 hour a day and providing almost no communication channels. Best Messenger still took what I sent via overnight FedEx and came back with my passports and visas. Extremely professional and trustworthy. I probably wouldnt have found them without the great reviews on Google and Yelp, so I wanted to leave one of my own. Use these guys if you need a Washington DC courier service.

This is a phenomenal service. I was in a last minute bind in trying to get my fathers passport from a conciliate in DC to Chicago. The team at Best Messenger Inc. made me feel confident that I would get my package in time and more importantly delivered on it. They kept in touch with me to let me know what was going on, collected the document, FedExed it and followed up. They were both prompt and courteous. I wouldnt think twice about using them again if my derriere was on the line.
