I cannot tell you how bad of an experience we had using this company. We were quoted 250 dollars to move from one 1-bedroom apartment to another 1-bedroom apartment that was 1 mile away, claiming it should take 3 hours total. Upon their arrival, they took apart EVERY piece of Ikea furniture, saying it would fall apart in their truck. Also, because it was raining, they claimed they had to wrap couch pillows and other furniture They took 4 hours at our original apartment, and 2 at our new apartment, and charged us for 6 hours of labor, plus travel from their offices. it was a total of $850.00 I work for a large property management company with over 70 properties between DC/MD/VA and I have already told all of them to let our residents know about this company and to not use them when they are moving.

Overall, I had a very poor experience. Was quoted for $70 an hour for 3 hours. When they arrived, the new contract stated $80 an hour. Lead mover was unprofessional and did not properly wrap furniture, resulting in chipped paint, very dirty couches (needed professional cleaning), and other issues. Was charged for packing tape, bubble wrap, and other moving material totaling over $150!!!! I was also charged for an hour of travel time for the movers to get to my location which was not included in the estimate. Overall - I was quoted $210 for the job and was billed over $640!!! I would NOT recommend this company to anyone - the movers were unprofessional and the estimates provided are 1/3 of the actual cost!

After having a very stress free and accurate move, I decided to write this comment. I hired Hercules Moving to move my house a week ago. The movers arrived on time with the packing materials. Movers did not waste a minute. They immediately started loading and packing my furniture. They packed everything with great care, carefully moved my sofa, shelves, bed. In the end they completed the move well within the estimated timeline and stored everything perfectly at the new place. It was a spotless performance at a very good price. I would like to thank them for being so efficient, friendly and polite.

I hired these men to move my store. They overcharged me about 1000.00 over the estimate. When I questioned them about it they said they would not give back my merchandise. Then they tried to alter the credit card receipts. There is an incredible amount of damage. They will not return my phone calls. Now we see that there are about 20 missing boxes, all of our shelving units and 3 large chairs. Their only response before they just stopped taking our calls- "good Luck lady!"Stay away from these guys.!

I will use these guys again! They were friendly, patient with a difficult move (3rd floor no elevator), on-time (they called because they thought they would be early, but ended up showing on time), and they are handy with tools when furniture does not fit in narrow stairwells. They charge a VERY reasonable price. I used them for labor only, and I will definitely call them again the next time I move in DC, as long as they are not crazy busy because they get such well-deserved awesome reviews!

This was the worst experience with moving I have ever had, they charge triple the original quote, hold your furniture hostage until you pay up and are completely untrustworthy. never hire them, they suck you in with a low rate then charge for travel time, inventory checking, packaging materials($500) you cant question the charges because they will happily keep your furniture until you pay up. Unscrupulous, possibly criminal and I shall be reporting them to the BBB.

We have used Hercules Moving as local movers on two occasions and both times they were remarkably professional. They work together precisely making each others job easy by the way they stack and pack. One mover said they always make a place for the next guy to put his boxes down easily and never leaves a single carton on the floor to pick up. They have moving down to a science. I would recommend these local movers in DC to anyone.

When we were moving from Washington DC to the Atlanta area due to a job transfer, we hired Hercules as our interstate movers. When moving day arrived the truck pulled up early that morning as scheduled. They were loaded up by days end. Our belongings arrived in our new home in Lithonia GA in a couple days, also as scheduled. There were no problems with breakage and nothing lost. The move was perfect.

No Stars! They are THIEVES! They stole someone I knows belongings! He filed a police report and they are working on finding out who stole all of their belongings! Look at YELP! Beware. They get no stars because they steal peoples expensive stuff and run away in the truck with it. They are from Russia and barely speak english. SKETCHY! RUN AWAY! Get your own Uhaul and hire bodies to move your stuff.

My family moved from Washington DC to Arlington VA to a much larger home. We chose Hercules because they did such good work on our first move before our family grew. This time was as good or better. They were on time and moved everything and set it all up without a single issue. It may be a long time before we need movers again but if we do we will use these DC movers for sure.

Hercules Moving was very helpful after we sold our home near DC. We were in need of movers in DC that would move us from our home and store everything until we could move into our new place in Vienna VA. After the closing and some renovation they moved us in. Everything was intact and placed carefully in our new home. They did a very professional job.

Hercules Moving was the best movers we could have chosen for the job when we needed local movers. We moved from our apartment in downtown DC to our new home in Manassas. Everything was done in a timely fashion without issues. We would hire these local movers again for sure.

Complete scam!! State that charge is $95/hr. Once they get there the bill racked up to $1100 off unknown charges they dumped my stuff off the truck and left and refused to finish the job. DO NOT USE THEY ARE SCAM.
