Be VERY careful with this company. They attempt to buy their ratings on the review sites, and have extremely unethical practices. Our terrible moving experience is detailed below, but just recently, 2 years after the move, the owner contacted us telling us he was disappointed in our review and asking what he could do to make up for the poor experience. Mind you, during the year following the move, he would not return one email or phone call. Now that the ratings slipped, he emailed the following: "If you take down your reviews I will refund 1/2 of the desired renumeration (sic) after a 30 day window. If you take down the reviews and replace them with a 5-star review I will refund all of the requested money if the review sticks on the Yelp sponsored page (meaning NOT shuffled to the hidden reviews) and is not altered for 30days." Since he had not kept to his word many times during our move, as noted below, we suggested that he make the appropriate remuneration first, and we would then cite how he did the right thing in updated reviews, he did not respond. Finally, after multiple attempts to reach him, he simply emailed, "I just cant afford that. I was hoping for a more affordable solution". If this was not an affordable solution, what was he thinking in offering it? Clearly he never had any intention of holding up his end of the compensation. He simply wanted to trick us into taking down our review. As part of the move, there was significant damage that was the result of quite inadequate loading (they did not bring enough furniture pads and even started raiding our own personal blankets and bubble-wrap when they ran out. In addition they used our furniture cushions for padding and at the delivery they were both damaged and some were missing). Most significantly, they flat out lied to us. The driver made limited contact with us, was very late, and did not bring the 2 person additional help that was promised for the offload. We had to provide a dolly, additional help, and the tools and make repairs. There was severe damage to the outdoor furniture and the larger antique pieces (mind you, we would later find a lot more damage that was hidden by the driver...). The owner, Brian, who said we had to pay in full for the move, or the driver could not leave the premises, but that he would hold the check until we were able to fully assess the damages and come to an amicable resolution. However, Brian cashed our check while we were still working on resolution AND once he cashed the check, he refused to talk to us any further. We were directed to the insurance company. THEN, we found a variety of additional damage that the driver hid during the unload. He even propped a very expensive cast table up against a wall because he had broken off and then completely removed a leg from it, rendering it and the rest of the matching set irreparable. Many broken and scarred items were hidden among the boxes, the walls were damaged behind the boxes that were piled up, and several custom cushions for the furniture, were completely missing. A terrible experience.

We were nervous about who to hire for moving, in general its stressful and expensive but we definitely feel like we made the best choice. We are in the Baltimore area and our 4 man crew consisted of Reggie, Mike, Lance and Thomas. I am definitely giving those names to a couple of friends of mine who are moving soon! They were so friendly and professional and they were much faster than expected. We helped them out by having our furniture broken down and ready to go before they arrived. Our biggest concern was our pride and joy, our 80s Tron stand up arcade which weighs a ton. The last movers we hired took 15 uncoordinated minutes to get it into the truck but this crew wrapped it beautifully and got it down our 2 flights of stairs in just a few minutes, they also treated it like they would treat their own furniture. I took video and showed it to my friends and they were impressed. Well done! In the end they finished the job 2 hours under quote. It took them only 4 hours to load our 2 bedroom apartment and unload our new house including the 40 minute commute in between. We were so impressed!!! With all the money weve have had to shell out in the last 2 months for new house and moving expenses, the extra 2 hours labor we saved meant the world! Thanks guys! Would seriously recommend, if youre in the Baltimore area and looking to move soon, they are a terrific choice. We couldnt be happier!

This move was our sixth in 11 years, and by FAR the smoothest. As in, I literally cannot come up with one thing that couldve made this move better, from the time I contacted Suburban Solutions until the empty truck pulled out of our new driveway. I got estimates from 4 different Yelp-approved moving companies, and they were not only the most reasonable, but also the friendliest with the most prompt response. Our moving team (Thanks a TON Mark, Vlad, Mikas and Vytautus!) showed up right on schedule and were so friendly and professional. When they arrived, they asked if any of our things needed special care, then broke up into teams and wrapped EVERYTHING in plastic - I havent found a single dent or scratch on anything, which was a first for me! I was a little unsure when researching whether it was wise to use a moving company that charged by the hour, but I shouldnt have worried - I caught them *jogging* back to the truck while unloading, and they were done well ahead of schedule - early enough that I was able to get the first few kitchen boxes unpacked in time for dinner! Ive always looked towards moving day with a sort of horror, but they helped to make it SO stress-free. Next time we move, I know EXACTLY who Im going with!

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT USE THEM! They quoted me for $800, it ended up being $1100.00. One guy showed up HUNGOVER! I had to buy them coffee and Gatorade just so they can pick up the pace and not charge me for THEM moving so slow!. They couldnt fit everything as they promised so I had to move a lot in my 2 door car! They couldnt fit my large rugs and I later found out they THREW ONE AWAY! My old apartment has them on camera. They BROKE several pieces of my furniture and scratched a lot of my furniture also. They were unprofessional and late of course. Spend the extra money and go somewhere else. Trust me!

A whole team of young men packed and moved us from Center City to suburban Maryland about two weeks ago. The experience was as positive as a hands on move can be. Patrick handled the details. Our only concern was that he was too positive about the time involved getting our big load packed and shifted. We have a lot of stuff. I recommend a site visit, always triple checking dates and times, and asking questions. The workers were wonderful. They really earned their pay, so careful with all our breakables. And the price was right! Thanks to all.

Ive moved with Suburban Solutions 3 times, and each one was handled very professionally. Charlie and Star were quick and thorough in their estimates and scheduling. Each crew (most recently Andre and Carl) protected all my belongings and made sure everything landed where it was supposed to. Moving Day is always stressful, but the SS crews are very personable, organized, and insanely strong! Suburban Solutions is time-efficient, reasonably priced, and consistently provide FAR better service than other moving companies I used in the past.
