Very disappointed in how I was treated today and my overall experience. I have been an Aveda customer and member for the past few years and visit my regular location every two weeks for haircuts, eyebrows, etc. Due to scheduling conflicts, my regular location and stylist was not available to see me so I decided to check out this new salon. Midway through my cut, I was not comfortable with my stylist technique and ask if we could just pause, explained how I thought it was not a good match and asked if we could stop the cut. I spoke to the manager, who was very sweet and understanding at the beginning and even offered to help fix the cut. I explained that I did not think the salon was a good fit and apologized and appreciated her offer (I was shaking nervously because I really did not like the cut). She excused herself and upon checkout I asked the front desk person if we could explore a possible discount since I was not satisfied and stopped midway through the session. She offered $2 off and I was a bit offended. I asked if there was anything else we could do and she started yelling at me telling me I talked too much. I asked her why she was yelling at my and raising her voice and she said she wasnt and continued to yell. Another stylist had to come down and check in because she continued to yell as I remained calm and felt a bit confused. The other manager came back and the front desk person screamed that I was not going to pay. All the staffers looked just as confused as I was because I never mentioned or even hinted that. She continued to yell and said I talked too much and I explained that this was a really bad way to treat customers to which the manger - who was trying to remain calm - despite the shouts behind her said she understood but explained the front desk person was also the owner. The manager told me I had to leave - which offended me even more. I told her I would pay full price that money was not the issue here but more of the way I was being treated and how I was still being yelled at from behind the counter. Completely unfortunate that this had to happen - especially since I have been a customer for years now and the fact that her staff and the other customers were just as confused and offended as I was. Really recommend that folks reconsider visiting and patronizing especially if that is how customers are treated.

I moved to the DC area in March of this year and have been struggling to find a good place to get my hair done. Luckily I met Heather over the summer and she clued me in to the salon that she would be working at when it opened late summer. Its not only in a great location, but it is a stunning salon. They have so many amenities- its crazy! But the real gem of the salon is Heather. She may be young but she certainly knows exactly what she is doing! Im a natural brunette and she brought me to a gorgeous warm red color. She is super friendly, and such a sweetheart. Ask for her when scheduling your appointment. And enjoy the experience!

Staff was very nice, quality products used and facilities were clean. I upgraded to the spa pedicure because i was told it included more massage. I, no exaggeration, received 1 min of massage. Half of the reason I get a pedicure is for the massage. I did this as a treat for myself and sadly I was disappointed.

Michelle was my esthetician and i had one of the best facials Ive had in years. My friends and brother are still complimenting how great my skin looks 2 days later! It feels so soft and silky. Shes very knowledgable and will give you great advice on skincare. Go see her and let her do her magic!

Went for a simple shampoo/blow dry and my hair was more tangled when I left than when I got there. If you want to pay $50 for someone to yank on your hair for ten minutes, this is the place for you. (Great shampoo job, though).

My hairstylist Fethia is the best, amazing work, a VERY happy customer who would follow her wherever shell be :-) The place is clean, nice and very friendly staff.
