I went to the salon a few times and had Bruce do my hair. I was please with the final outcome of simple wash and style. I have long hair and asked for a trim..folks dont know the meaning of the word "trim" he cut off like 4 inches of my hair. I was very upset by this. I felt like there was no respect for my wishes as I made it clear I only wanted 1/2 inch taken off ( $40 trim). Second problem.. Had some color work done. The color came out wrong, as he was attempting to match the roots with my previous color. I had two tones hair. I was told to come back in two weeks to let my hair rest and they would fix it. The fix was putting more color throughout my entire hhead again! The color was ok, but I lost most of my hair over the next 6 months due to the over processing. Took a full year and a half to get my hair right again. Talk about a horror story. AND Bruce made me pay for "the fix" NEVER will I go there again. You have been advised.

I have no idea where the other reviewers went. Avatar is a top rate salon. I have never had a better touch-up shampooing, or conditioning. The techincians took the time to thoroughly wash and condition my hair by small sections to ensure previous products were removed and conditioners were applied evenly. Bruce Johnson is highly professional and an excellent stylist. My hair is very healthy, bouncing and behaving.

Everyone (and I mean everyone) was very polite and warm in their welcoming of me to the salon. Everyone made sure I was okay and offered refreshments as I waited. I was pleased with my cut overall. The downside to my visit was that my stylist was double booked, so she actually was working on two people at once, which I was not pleased about. Even with that, I would still recommend this salon to others in the area!

I am a long time client of Avatar Day Spa and Salon. Bruce, Yeema and the other stylists stress the importance of healthy hair. Bruce is a proponent of your healthy hair instead of sewn in/glued in weaves . But with that said they have stylists who can weave as well as stylists who braid. Its always a good experience...and you will leave with hair in better condition than when you came.

The stylist are not only PROFESSONIAL but knowledgeable on how to keep a natural or take your look cutting edge. Highly recommended. Be sure to have a cup of the Aveda comfort tea...

I enjoy getting my hair done at Avatar, the stylists are very professional and do an excellent job each time. I always leave the salon feeling pampered and happy with my do! Shout out to Cassandra and Imma! Also Bruce is very nice and accommodating. I look forward to having a massage there as well!

I went to get a hair cut by Bruce because I have went to him before and never had a bad experience. I wanted to get a bob haircut and I showed him a picture and I left very satisfied. I will be back for sure. Bruce is very friendly and welcoming to his chair.

Fantastic! Loved the cut, loved the style. Everything about this place was great. I also really enjoyed the shampoo. Its always nice to have someone else wash your hair--like a special treat--but this was above and beyond my expectations. Great place.
