I am an avid gym goer (24 years old) and have tried almost every gym in DC the past month. I can say from my experience that Vida Fitness downtown has the best facilities and has great classes. They have the most machines and a ton of space. The atmosphere is great as well. I tried out Results and found it very disappointing ( How was results rated number 1?, that is weird to me). The only Results worth going to is the Capital Hill location. The Golds in capital hill is a disappointment (small). All the gyms I went to were never good enough after experiencing Vida for a summer. I never went to Primal Fitness so I can’t comment on that. Go Vida! I would rejoin but am moving to Crystal City. So the search for a new gym begins again. Join Vida worth the money.

I didnt like this gym that much when I tried it out with a buddy. I noticed that in relevance to other reviews, the staff are very polite and the facilities look very clean. However the mos important ingredient in a gym is the trainers and boy, do these trainers suck. Okay they dont suck, they all have some knowledge to their profession but I noticed that when I asked them question they just tell me stuff like "You arent ready for that yet" or "Oh thats not important" they cant seem to give me an explanation or a short reason as to why. It felt like they were avoiding answering technical questions because when it came to stuff they told me to do they could have talked my ears off. Good staff and facilitates bad trainers.

No matter what time you come in for your workout, the gym is sparkling clean and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Your name us quickly learned. Whether its the management, the front desk, or the custodial staff, everyone is respectful and great to be around. I cant think of any time where ANY staff member has been unhelpful or rude and with a staff this huge, that is a feat in and of itself. This gym really is a classic example of you get what you pay for. I know I wont be blaming them for breaking my 2012 resolution because I just finished thanking them for helping me keep 2011s. Thanks Vida Fitness at Verizon Center.

I was convinced by my wife to make a contract with this gym, not only because it had good reviews and people had recommended it but because i really need to start doing some exercise to get in shape, for health reasons. I have never exercised consistently before , so i dont understand most of the workouts i have to do. The staff here is incredible at helping out with this. The fair is according to their service and everyone tries to help everyone, great environment.

Friendly and professional front desk staff, this stands out. Unfortunately the gym isnt always managed that well, with some of the managers handling client issues inappropriately. Also, the clientele, in general, and some of the trainers, arent well versed on basic gym etiquette, another management failure. Other Vida locations are run much better. That said, the front desk staff and some of the trainers are among the best in town.

Best gym in DC. Instructors are pros, classes are upbeat and fun - theyll leave you wanting to come back! Brand new machines and sleek, modern contour make for a pump-you-up gym experience. Entire third floor is an awesome weight room. This Vida gym does a great job asking for feedback -- and acting on it. Those class surveys arent just ignored, theyre read and acted upon. Cant say enough good things about this gym.

This is the only gym Ive ever been to that is so consistently clean, has great professional instructors and really makes you want to keep going back. Great service, great machines... a perfect gym.

A great place to Enjoy a Ballgame. Great food, widely considered best in Washington. Very fan friendly and family friendly. It is obvious that they care about providing a great entertainment.

cameras inside the mens locker room but not the womens the ownership is gay, do you see how this can be abused??? this is creepy

Great gym. The only thing it lacks is a real swimming pool, but it has two small with a motor that creates a current

Love VIDA overall but Id say that Navy Yard and City Center have better locker rooms and space to lift/workout etc.
