Cant say Ill want to come back to MIT in Brandon. I smashed my Samsung S5 screen and jumped online to find a fix, MIT seemed good. John was kind enough to get me a screen for my phone from another store because they didnt have one on hand. After 2 days he called me back and I returned. He asked would you like to wait while I fix your phone? Yes sure! And thanks. After about 10 mins he calls out to me that his tool had broken while fixing my phone than it would be just a while longer. "Ok no problem" I replied. About 20-25 minutes later he returns... he hands me the phone and I notice the screen is already cracked in the upper left hand corner? "John" "This is already cracked dude!?" He asked if it had just happened. I said no I saw it cracked as you handed it to me... I also notice the screen wasnt firm and would move as i pressed on it. "John" "Why does the screen not feel firm and moves?" He said he ran out of the glue they use to apply the screen. SO... he offered me a broken screen that wasnt glued down. "John" Why doesnt it say Samsung at the top either?" I never really got an answer to that question. So then he said we had two options. One I can take it as is and he would discount the screen. At that time i said "No sorry no way I can have the screen like this" Then he said or two we can order you a new screen. This was reasonable so I agreed. He asked i pay the rest of my bill and he would let me keep the broken screen till the new one came in. I was fine with that. After Im home I notice that when I touched the screen the phone would respond in another place. Touch the H you get a L... touch email you get weather.. etc. Not fun. I could take calls but that was about it. About a week went by and the screen just fell off the phone. It also broke further while in my pocket (where it was already cracked ... top left side). When I finally notice the screen was hanging lose in my pocket I pulled it out and found more glass from the old screen still attached to the phone. I went ahead and cleaned the glass stuck to the phone the best I could. My guess is this should have been done the first time around so I better take care of it my self. After taking about 30 mins to do this the broken glass was all gone and I pressed the screen back on. I noticed double stick tape on the inside where the screen would rest on the phone frame.. this kinda bothered me considering John told me they use glue to affix these screens. I chose not to ask him about the tape later on. The screen seemed to me more secure so i left it at that. Then I called to check if the new screen might had come in. Rex answered the phone at MIT. He didnt seem to know any thing about my screen so I asked him if i could ask him some questions about screens. He said ok. I had been having many troubles with the cracked screen John had "loaned" to me. So I wanted to ask Rex if the crack was the cause for that. I tired to explain to Rex my situation but he didnt seem interested in helping me at all. He Said "John is getting you a new screen right?" I said "yes". Then he said "well than you dont have any reason to ask me any questions. I cant answer any questions for you." Rex was pretty rude so I just asked for his name then said ok thanks and ended it. 7 days pass and John calls me to let me know the screen is in. When I get there John doesnt like that the screen has further broken since he gave me the phone. I pointed out that the screen wasnt glued to begin with and that it had fell off to reveal glass from the old screen that had never been removed. He seemed seemed shocked and remarked " I cant return this now. " John never blamed me for the broken screen but he never seemed to want to take and credit either. A few hours later I returned to pick up the phone. It seemed fine and at this time still is ok. Still no Samsung logo at the top. Main complaints : 1. John broke the screen in the first place and he did a really shotty job of affixing the first screen. He almost made me feel like it was my fault. 2.Rex was super rude.

I had a one-year old Toshiba laptop that began to perform poorly, finally froze up so I brought it to MIT. They diagnosed it as having a bad hard drive due to viruses. I opted for an upgraded hard drive and it ended up costing more than the original cost of the laptop, but I was okay with this if it corrected the problems. I got the laptop home and it began to shut itself off. First it was after about 15 minutes, then it got more frequent. I brought it back and they said they would check it out. They said there was no problem, they had run the laptop for days and it did not shut itself off once. They recommended a cold board for under the laptop, which I bought. Got it home and it promptly shut itself off. Over and over. I brought it back and this time they said it was because of the AMD processor. AMD processors run hot, they said, so this may be a chronic, uncorrectable problem. The machine has not been the same since, and I am lucky if I can get 10 minutes on it without it shutting down. I would never use them again, and I would not recommend them to anyone else. Clearly they do not stand behind their work and they create new problems that did not previously exist. I am guessing the hard drive they installed was oversized and causes the processer to run hot, thereby shutting down the machine.

YOU WANT GOOD ADVICE! PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE!! I went to MIT in Brandon Florida, because my computer would not boot up properly. The computer is a little over a year old and has never been repaired therefore I needed it fixed ASAP. I paid Kyle Keane $40 for a diagnostic test and he was suppose to call me the following day. No call back! So I decided to call him and he tells me the motherboard is bad and could not tell me how much it was going to cost. My husband told him to put the computer back together and it should be in the same condition in which we left it. We pick the computer up and it had been damaged terribly from when he went into the computer cover with a metal object! Chunks were missing from the edges of the computer and stratches were visible. My husband and I confronted Kyle he was very rude and arrogant and said that a professional place would have made the same damage to my computer ! We are looking in to taking him to small claims court!!!! What a idiot to use a metal object to take off a plastic computer cover.

Very bad business ethics. They will lie and deceive you to get your business then steal your equipment. I dropped off my laptop for a new hard drive and explained I was leaving out of town and scheduled a pickup date with them. They said no problem and it would be ready. When I returned to pickup my laptop on the day we agreed on I was told it was sold because I had abandoned it by leaving it there. I had my reciept showing this agreement but they argued showing there was fine print they have an abandonedent clause. When I dropped it off I acknowledged this clause and was told "We wouldnt do that to our paying customers. We know you are actually coming back." They stole my laptop!!!! I called the sheriffs office and was told this is a civil case so I would have to take it to court. Mit even had the same laptop on display for sale and would not make it right. Beware!!!!! Im reporting to the BBB.
