FYI....I needed roof repairs in 2016...I saw Parlament Roofing & Construction TV ads....I responded to an ad on TV just like this last year...I called them and ever since getting sold their product, it has been a nightmare....Let me tell you what my experience with Parlament has been........Here are the facts as presented to the BBB in the Better Business Bureau Serving West Florida complaint about Parlament Roofing & Construction...........The BBB said these guys are not members and the BBB could not do anything.....Buyer beware...Is this the company you want to risk your home with........ BBB Consumers Original Complaint :.. ......The TV ads by Parlament made a lot of claims and said they financed....I called Parlament when I had seen those ads and Paul took my call... I repeatedly asked if they financed....He repeatedly said yes and said we finance everybody......... Paul took my info and I told him that I wanted my entire roof replaced and to go from existing tile to new shingles and I repeated my requirement to only proceed if they kept their promise to finance........He promised that the boss had in-house financing to help all the average guys to buy their roof from Parlament Roofing & Construction. .....He made a date with their salesman, Mike, to come the next day. Mike came and I repeated my requirements to him, starting with my financing requirement that I told to his office........"Financing was mandatory".. Mike repeated that "the boss" wants every blue collar worker to get a new roof and he ensures that goal by financing "in-house" because "banks turn down his customers too much"..........He asked for my credit score and I told him and he said "oh yeh, you will easily get this financed".. He then went into details why I should choose Parlament--who installs ("we only use Mexicans because they dont complain),how, what, when, & the warranties, and said if I signed then , he could start the next day because they were starting another house around the corner. I told him that his estimate was the HIGHEST of the 5 I got and he said he was "proud to be the highest"..I asked him to "do better"......He called his boss.I could hear his boss being real loud and angry....... He finally came down a little and I agreed to agree if we agreed that he financed this as I required.....He said "no problem" and drew up many pages of new contracts and quickly re-entered new numbers and asked for 1/3 down...When I told him I was shocked at his request, he said he did not need 1/3 and he could sign and start tomorrow for a $1,000 check deposit.......I paid the $1,000..... It rained the next day and nobody showed up.I called and was told they would show up to start the next day.......They did.... They started and I climbed on the roof with them to talk, observe, and point out the problems that even I could see with my naked eye even before the tiles were removed...I spent 60 minutes on the roof and discussed these issues with the foreman. I requested that the 2 original skylights also be replaced and that it was not included in the original bid and I clarified that 2 new skylights were what I needed and wanted to be added to my order and the foreman made some calls and said they "would add it to my contract tomorrow". The foreman came the next day but it was raining again and no crew and no work was done.......He presented me an estimate for the 2 skylights and demanded $1,600 cash.. I asked if he was confused.....I explained that this was all financed....And when he repeated that he was to collect cash....... When I asked why they had skipped part of my roof he also said that only part of my roof was to be done and the contract that Mike turned in was for "cash" and was only to include "part of my roof"..I started calling Mike repeatedly...

We never got past the initial phone call. I called in for an estimate not a sales appointment. I simply want information and plan to get more than one estimate. I was told I could only get an estimate by having an appointment where both my wife and myself could be present as this is necessary "for permits". I do not need permits, I need an estimate. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told by Tom that there werent any in his building and "I dont want to toot my own horn but Im pretty high up in the company" so when I persisted and asked for a supervisors name he put me on hold. When the line was picked back up it was by someone who told me his name was Vince and he was a Marketing Manager, I asked for his last name and he did not want to give it, I again persisted and he told me it was Vince Roofing and he proceeded to spell it. I questioned his name and he said "yeah, thats a coincidence huh?". It sounds like game playing to me and is extremely unprofessional. I explained that I only want to get an estimate, it is difficult for my wife and I to be at home at the same time as I work 6-7 days per week, if we agree on a price then we can make arrangements but I do not see that as being necessary for an estimate only. Lowes did not require this for their estimate. "Vince Roofing" said he could not do what I asked so I again asked who his supervisor was and when I could reach them as the commercials say you make this process easy and so far youre not accomplishing this. He said they" made it easy for them" and asked what I wanted ,I said I would like you to make this easy as I am trying to spend a lot of money with you. His answer was "Well pass" and he hung up on me. This is by far the worst customer service I have experienced anywhere in a very long time. I will definitely not recommend Parlament , I will however post this statement on Google as well as every home improvement site or forum I can find.

I see a relative to the company management put a 5 star review up on google. One more reason to have my doubts about these guys... Using my kids computer to send this, it shows posting under his name. Saw ad on TV, set appt for estimate. After the sales presentation (Andy) they offered a price that was about 30% higher than most of the other companies I had provide estimates. I felt it was way too high so their salesman called the office to see if they could get a better price. his boss (Joe Rayl) cut $900 off the price but I wasnt comfortable with the new price either. After a little back and forth at a very high pressure level, I flat out declined the service after I asked how long the price was valid and was told today only. I must have been told 15 times that they wanted to keep their crews working, as if their problems were somehow mine to resolve. Andy put Joe on the speakerphone and Joe proceeded to to hard sell me some more. He was very argumentative. I finally told him I was not prepared to pull the trigger on that because of my budget situation and he got rude, telling me "wait, now you listen" in a manner I found beyond rude. I told him I would not be disrespected in my home, told Andy to terminate the call and to get the hell out of my house. Rule #1 with any contractor: If they tell you today only on a price, RUN AWAY.
