I am not really sure how I should review this place....I guess I have to first say that every one I have met there has been friendly, and its not hassle to schedule an appointment. I fist took my car there to get an oil change and the tires rotated and balanced. The prices were fair and I was in and out of there in no time flat. Most recently, I took my car in to get an oil change, coolant flush, serpentine belt check, and have them do an overall inspection because I believe in preventative maintenance and catching a problem before it happens. I was informed that my front struts and shocks were bad and that it would be wise to change them out. I had noticed some knocking while driving so I went ahead and did it. The universal shocks and struts that they put on are priced around $140 and I was charged $240 each so there is $200 in over payment. I was then charged a full hour of labor for a serpentine belt which is a 10 minute job so there is another lets call it $70 in over payment. I checked the time it would take to do the front struts with 3 SEPARATE mechanics and was told a maximum of 40 minutes each side since they were the universals that required less work, so lets call it 1.5 hours. I was charged for 2.5 hours so there is another $100 in over payment. All in all I payed about $400 more than what I should have. When I brought this up I feel like I wasnt being taken serious. When I asked about why I was charged so much for the struts they said that it what they paid for them from where they got them...I got the part number and called where they got them and that was NOT the price they paid. I understand a parts markup for a business to make money, but that does not give that company the right to flat out lie. When I asked about the labor charges themselves I was told basically that the owner can charge what he wants. It is extremely hard to find a mechanic and I believe very strongly in small business, but I think from here on out I am going to have to stick with a bigger chain mechanic. I would highly recommend that you DO NOT go here.

I have spent thousands of dollars on car repairs at Peterson Auto & Truck. Every time I brought the car in for a particular code, they would find other things that needed to be fixed as well. After paying for repairs, the original problem never seemed to be fixed, but would reappear within hours. Each time that I returned the car for diagnosis and repair, I was told that it was a different problem and I believed them and paid for another repair. I brought my car in for a different problem than the one that kept reoccurring, a wiring problem with my brake lights. True to form, they had a list of other repairs that needed to be completed. They also wanted another crack at the problem that has been plaguing my car for years. When I picked up the car, the problem was worse, rather than fixed. One of the additional things that they said needed to be repaired was my brakes. When I picked up the car, the problem was worse, rather than fixed. Then when I brought it in for diagnosis at the request of the new service manager, he mentioned that the brakes didnt feel right. I reminded him that they just fixed them. Then my car kept stalling out not cranking. After keeping the car for 3 days, he said that I needed a new battery and alternator. He also mentioned that he would like to repair the brakes, if needed. Why would my breaks need to be repaired just a couple of months after a repair? I refused the repairs and took the car to a battery shop. They tested the battery and alternator, and found that both were fine. I was told that the problems that I was experiencing would be caused by a wiring problem. So, was all of this money that I paid for repairs necessary? I will never know. But I urge you to find another repair shop.

alright so i brought in my 2003 dodge neon srt4 because it wouldnt start, or would run but die while driving. now i know a thing or two about using the internet and typing in the symptoms of my car so i replaced and checked all that was needed. which included checking fuses sensors and even the fuel pump and checking that the engine has spark. I replaced the fuel pump with a BRAND NEW because i knew that it wasnt coming on. And then my car still wouldnt start. So i got fed up and brought it here because it was the closest place near where my car was. Peterson Auto provided a tow service for my car and they diagnosed it for a 80$ diagnostics fee. and they tested it and called back and said the fuel pump was bad and didnt work at all. NOW im no rocket scientist but i put two and two together and figured how is it possible to have 2 bad fuel pumps especially one of them being brand new. I spoke with the guy over the phone (chris) who seemed like a cool guy, to get a quote for them to replace it and he said 640$ .. well i told him no thats fine ive done that job before so i can do it again, and he got quiet and seemed upset because i basically wouldnt give him more money. SO i had them tow it to my house and come to figure out BOTH pumps were in excelent condition and that it was a fuse in the connection line which just had to be replaced. Basically i felt that they werent good enough to detect that fuse and that simple ignorance could have costed me a lot more money. great people though! but i just felt like they should have done a better diagnostics job for 80dollars. Also id like to note that the towing fee was 60$ there and 60$ back -_-

Having no prior car problems and even going to get my car maintenanced at another auto shop only weeks before, my car ended up breaking down on I-275. I had my car towed here, never having heard of the place before. I had to drop it off at Peterson afterhours and Kevin called me within a few hours the next day, knowing what was going on with my car. Turns out it was recall problem that was 100% covered by my dealer. Kevin went through the trouble of tracking down the number for me to call for free roadside assistance from my dealer and he spoke to the people at my dealership to tell them what was going on with my car and to expect me to come. He even offered to accommodate my schedule for when Id come pay my very minimal diagnostic fee. If I was running late or early, he told me to just let him know when to expect me. He and Bob even checked in on me after I picked up my car to make sure everything was fixed. They went above and beyond the call to take care of me! Im very grateful that I stumbled upon a shop that cares about quality, courteousness, and taking care of their customers even if it doesnt mean they make big bucks off of it (which they definitely could of, if Kevin didnt take the time out of his schedule to do a little research and learn that I could get the work done for free at my dealership). All the people working here were very friendly and welcoming, and its obvious they really care about their customer service. I highly recommend taking your car to be maintained or fixed by these good, honest, hardworking people.
