Beware of this company. Its manager, Carla, is rudest person Ive ever done business with and will look to change cost on you in the middle of the move. This is a move I scheduled with Florida Family Movers to get my parents goods to an assisted living facility located 10 minutes away. Initially set up a move for Tuesday, they called and stated that they would have to cancel due to rain, understood. They told me they could reschedule for the next day, I asked if my move could be scheduled for the afternoon and they agreed. So far so good. The next day, they called to cancel the move, stating that the morning customer had misled them on the size of the move and they would not be able to complete it on time to do mine. Funny thing is that when they come in to do a move they check everything to ensure that what they were told they were going to move is what they are going to move and call the office for approval on the move. Yet, they were supposedly misled by the previous customer (first red flag). They rescheduled me for Thursday morning. Thursday morning comes and they were going to cancel stating that no one with authority was at the site, while my brother who had slept there and was there to open the door when they knocked. I arrived 15 min later. Once we finally got going, loading everything went smoothly. The two men assigned to the move were great. Once we arrived to the assisted living facility the problems began. Since, you have to pay before they unload the truck your cost may vary from what they initially told you. I was told that since they had to use the main entrance of the facility for the move instead of the back entrance that would make them take more steps than necessary and therefore they would charge for an additional two hours up front and if any of the time added was not used they would refund it (never happened). The reason for having to use the front entrance was that the facility was having the parking lot asphalt adjacent to the back entrance resurfaced. So, according to the movers manager, my scheduling the move for that day was the reason why were taking longer that usual (second red flag). Remember, this move was originally scheduled for Tuesday and because they had issues they cancelled the move twice. So, I was flexible with them two days in a row and here we are Thursday and they are telling me its my fault they are charging more for the move. Then came the topper, when I initially called looking for a mover l asked if as part of their service they would take apart the bed and wall unit and then put it back together at the new location. The response was, absolutely, not problem at all. Well, the manager now asks to speak to me and tells me that they are running behind for another move and they are not going to put together the wall unit. When I complained she said that according to the moving contract I signed in the morning they did not have to, that I should read the contract. BEWARE OF THE FINE PRINT ON THE BACK OF THE CONTRACT. One more thing, I have relayed the story of what happened that day in a civilized manner, that is not how it actually happened. The manager, Carla, is the rudest person I have dealt with in a business transaction. Whenever I would try to respond to what she had stated, she would just cut me off and speak over me. I requested she stop doing that and let me speak and she said I was being rude and I need to read the contract and then she hung up. Truly sad company. I post this to inform others about this companys unethical practices in the hope that some will be able to avoid this kind of experience.

THIS COMPANY DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE TO BE GIVEN A REVIEW. THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH IN MY LIFE. THE OWNERS (HUSBAND AND WIFE) ARE VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY DO NOT WRAP ANY FURNITURE AND WANT TO CHARGE YOU FOR ANY EXTRA. THE FIRST SET OF MOVERS WHO CAME TO MY HOME CAME INSIDE AND TOOK ONE LOOK AROUND AND LEFT. NEVER CAME BACK AND NEVER TOLD ME THEY WERE LEAVING. I CALL THE OFFICE AND NO RETURN CALL BACK. I ATTEMPTED TO CONTACT THE MOVING COMPANY AND STILL TIL TODAY HAVE NOT GOTTEN A CALL BACK. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY IS A RACIEST PERSON AND DOES NOT HIDE IT VERY WELL. THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. 2 OTHER GUYS SHOWED UP WITHOUT WARNING TO MOVE THE BELONGINGS. JOHN AND ADRIAN WERE AWESOME BUT YOU COULD TELL THEY WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THE COMPANY THEY WORKED FOR AND WAS VERY APPRICIATIVE OF THE TIP THEY WERE GIVEN FOR THEY QUICK AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. THIS COMPANY ON THE OTHER HAND CAN NOT SEEM TO KEEP WORKERS AND DO NOT APPRECIATE OR KEEP THEIR GOOD WORKERS. ADRIAN WAS ONE OF THE MOVERS WHO CAME TO DO MY JOB AND WAS SEEMING TO BE DOING HIS JOB PERFECTLY AND PROFESSIONALLY. LAST I HEARD FROM ANOTHER UN-HAPPY CUSTOMER, ADRIAN NOR JOHN WAS NO LONGER EMPLOYED AND QUIT DUE TO COMPANY ISSUES. IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO REACH THESE TWO GREAT WORKERS. ID LOVE TO HAVE THEM MOVE MY PARENTS AGAIN. OTHER THEN THAT I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH FLORIDA FAMILY MOVERS AND ADVISE OTHERS :::::: DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY OR YOU WILL RISK LOOSING VALUABLES AND THEY REFUSE TO RE-EMBRASURE YOU. OR JUST WALK OFF THE JOB OR NOT SHOW UP.. AND YOU WILL STILL BE CHARGED!!!! BEWARE!!!!

Id actually not even give them one once of a rating. Rude and unprofessional beyond words! I have an elderly father who I was trying to get his things moved into an assisted living today. I conformed last week and was good to go for today. I was told that movers would arrive between 10:30-11:00 am. When the movers didnt arrive at 11 I called and tried to get an estimate on arrival. I was told that they were behind from a previous move and that theyd be finishing up soon. It was getting closer to 1 and I called again. This time I was told they would be there between 2-3 and no later than that time and that I could get a discount. Fast forward to after the 3 oclock time. I called back and got a rude man on the end of the phone. I simply asked when the movers would be there because I had been waiting since 10:30 am for someone to show up. He argued with me and told me that I had an afternoon move scheduled and that I would just need to wait until they got here. I continued ask for a time as it had been already 6 hours since the scheduled time. It was then that he told me that he wasnt doing business with me and that I was ungrateful and that he was canceling the move. I had asked him to please not do that and then he hung up on me! Horrible business. I reported the company to the better business bureau and filed a complaint. This isnt the first time this has happened either. Beware and dont trust the name - Florida family movers. Its a horrible business and not family oriented at all.

I worked for them for 3 weeks this company first this company does not care about their workers at all they make their workers pay for anything that brakes o tho they dont tell you that when they hire you I have worked for 3 other companies I have never seen that but ok on top of that they do not make their workers wrap their furniture before is moved flash news real moving companies wrap all the furniture before is moved thoooooo I was threat different i dont know why maybe because I am Hispanic all I know is that they gave me paper work that any other worker got they started me at less than any other worker and came to find out when I was put on the field that I had more experience than everyone alse this company is a joke me as a worker I strongly recommend do not hire them to move u if something gets broken and u paid 600 dollars theyll give 60 bucks not fair think about it their is allot of good moving companies out here do not hire them take from me o worked for them now keep in mind I have 3 years of professional moving experience not just helping the Neibor move .
