My experience at Firestone was miserable. I had dropped my car off (without an appointment) at 9:00AM because the Check Engine light was on. I spoke with an employee by the name of Chris, who told me they would be able to look at my car and run a more thorough diagnostic (I had a free diagnostic done at Auto Zone) for $100. Chris also informed me that they would not charge me if they could not detect and/or fix the problem. He asked if he could have the car for the entire day, and I was happy to accommodate his request even though I was hoping to drive to Orlando, FL later that afternoon. At 10:30AM I came back to Firestone as I realized I had left my second set of house keys in the car. My car was already in the back of the shop, hooked up to the machine for diagnostic testing. After retrieving my keys I again spoke with Chris and asked if he had known when I could expect to hear the results of the diagnostic testing. He informed me that since the test was already in progress, I should hear from them no later than 12:00PM. At 1:00PM I still had not heard back from Chris or any of the other Firestone staff. I decided to contact them. Chris answered the phone and was incredibly rude. He told me that the diagnostic procedure could take anywhere from 30min to 4 hours. I asked if he had any idea how much time was left on my vehicle in this same 4-hour window, he told me: "If you are going to have such a problem, just come and pick-up the car". I had told him that I did not want to pick-up the car, but was simply curious since I had seen them working on the car at 10:30AM. After speaking with my family, I decided to pick-up the car. I called Firestone to let them know I was coming to retrieve the car and they were even more rude. I ignored their attitude and went anyway. Once arriving in the store, Chris told me: "Well, we werent able to finish the results of the test BUT we know already that the repair is going to be very, very expensive. Easily $1,500 here and at the dealership nothing less than $3,000. Thats not even including the price of labor. Its got some serious, serious issues". The irony in this statement is that they did not charge me for the diagnostic testing as the test was incomplete and inconclusive. How do you tell a customer that their car requires $1,500 worth of repairs yet not even know what is wrong with the vehicle? The answer: BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE and LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. For the information of Firestone and all others reading this post, I took my car to another mechanic which came highly recommended by my family and friends. The repair and labor cost me $786.00 and was completed later that afternoon. Thank you Chris at Firestone. I will never use you or your company again.

Bad experience. After having a bad experience with a different firestone miles away, for some reason I deluded myself into thinking that they all cant be bad, and tried coming into here for a simple oil change. The first thing I said when I walked in the door was that I needed the work done in an hour and a half at the most, and I made it very clear that I had to be on my way by then. They said no problem, itd be about 45 minutes. I again stressed that I had to be out in an hour and a half, and would just have to come back later if it would take more time. They again said no problem. An hour and a half later, after noticing my car had been sitting on a lift untouched for the past 20 minutes, I asked if my car was ready, because I needed to go. The guy went back into the shop, and turns out it hadnt even been started. I had them take my car off the lift, and I drove off. They wasted my time and lied to my face. And now theyve lost my business forever. For me, this also makes it 0 for 2 with firestones in general

I chose this place due to its location (I live right behind), had a couple of problems with my Jeep and I did not have the time to repair myself (my father is a master mechanic). With that said, I knew exactly what was wrong with my Jeep and had an idea of how much it was going to cost. Dropped off at 7:30am, they called me at 10am with an estimate of what was wrong and how much... And I have to say they were spot on, I needed a full set of rear brakes and they pointed out some other potential problems with my Jeep as well that I was aware of, but did not need to be taken care of now... The cost for the full set of brakes was around $300 and they rotated my tires for free and flushed out my brake fluids and replace with new... My Jeep was done by noon... So I will be brining my Jeep back in the future, cause they did alright by me... Dont know why all the negative feedbacks on this shop...Could just be the industry as a whole...!

I had a horrible experience with the Firestone in Davie and ended up going to the one in Coconut Creek purely for convenience to my job. I have taken it there three times and when I drop it off they are great at follow up and letting me know when I can get it. The one time I did intend to wait for my car I was there about 40 minutes and then decided I didnt want to wait. I had my ride come to get me and when they showed up (10 minutes later) my car was already ready. I agree that they do try to sell you on several things you dont need but they dont push it. It seems that one of the guys seems to always be having a bad day and their check in process is a little slow. But overall its still better than the one in Davie and they are faster than going to the dealership (and definitely cheaper).

DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS YOUR MONEY! My father who is a mechanical engineer by trade dropped off our car for a simple tire alignment. A few minutes later he received a call from a technician saying we had a brake light out, ball joints needing replacement, and a screw in our brand new, week old tires. Strange coincidence considering he had checked the brake lights and tires thoroughly just before dropping the car off and everything was pitch perfect, the brake light was working fine after getting home too. The screw was in an awkward spot where it could not have penetrated the tire naturally, meaning they, Firestone, vandalized our property and tried to scam us out of $2,000!!

DISHONEST... I replaced all four tires at this place and have a lifetime alignment warranty. Six months later I had a flat and took it in for repair. They repaired the flat however, they over inflated the tire causing an imbalance with the other tires. As a result, my tires were off balance and the tires tread were unevenly wear. I didn’t realize it until my car vibrated more after a couple weeks. I took it back and they told me that the alignment warranty does not cover tires balance. You would think that they check the tires after fixing the flat. I took my car to a local auto repairs shop near me and took care of the problem. NEVER USE THIS SHOP.
