I thought there was a problem with the clutch on my Chevy S10 pickup after a few very long drives in 100 degree heat. I called around quite a few local places and they were all instantly diagnosing it over the phone as worst case scenario $500 repair job. When I called Tom at R & M he was honest and said it could be nothing, it could be something as simple as a loose hose. I dropped my car of there the next morning. After a battery of tests and trying to reproduce the problem I had had, Tom advised that there was NOTHING wrong with my car, there was no charge for the testing and I could pick it up at my convenience. It turned out to be a combo of a very long drive in very hot weather that played havoc with the hydrolic fluid that day and nothing else. It is so refreshing to take your car to a mechanic and not get instantly reamed (especially being a woman). I hate it when places automatically assume I know nothing about my car. Tom gives mechanics a good name, he is honest, wont charge you for things you dont need. I highly recommend R & M Auto Repair.

Truck was overheating with a brown sludge in the coolant system, every "backyard mechanic" around when it happened told me it had to be the head gasket... I took it to Tom, and he walked out looked at the fluid... told me it was just the transmission cooler was leaking into the radiator... the radiator had to be replaced. I dropped it off 2:30pm Friday and he calls me 11 am Saturday and says its done.. great turn around time on the weekend no less.. Greta guys to deal with and fair price. A+

Was able to get an appointment the very next day after calling for a quote. They got my car done a lot faster than I expected. My car didnt even drive this well when I originally purchased it. To say Im pleased is a understatement. I would be coming here for now on to get work done.
