I took my car Tuesday morning to Hialeah Auto Care because it was the closest repair shop in my area and my car was not running that good. the manager on duty suggested to bring the car as soon as they open at 7am the next day because to do a computer diagnostic was going to take a very long time. I missed work the next day and 7am I was there... I was told that the "computer diagnostic" was $89.00 ... expensive considering that most repair shops charge less than half($39.00 on average)and specially in Hialeah, but the young man and the manager I spoke the day before assure me this was a very extensive process to verify what was wrong and was going to take a real long time....left my car confident of this process and walked home, it took me 10 minutes to walk back home.....about 10 more minutes after I got home I received a call from Hialeah Auto Care with the results of the "extensive diagnostic" and estimate to repair my car....I asked why it only took 20 minutes, I was told It was the first one in ..??? remember I took the day off work because I was told this was going to take a real long time.... this was not it, I got charge $102.00 for this "computer diagnostic" I was not told that there was also a "SHOP SUPPLIES FEE" witch is fair and legal in all repair shops THAT PERFORM REPAIRS, this was a COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC!!! ...plug in plug out from inside the car( 16 pin connector similar to a pc monitor)SERIOUSLY GUYS?... the invoice even says it = LABOR DESCRIPTIONI=PERFORM A COMPUTER DIAGNOSTIC TO FIND PROBLEM. I really hate to talk bad about any person or place , but I honestly doubt your staff even open the hood of my car because I left hood unlock the night before( hood needs to be slam a bit for it to lock) and after picking up my car it was the same way I left it... Is not an accusation , just an observation. I ALSO FEEL THAT ALMOST $400.00 TO CHANGE SPARK PLUGS ON A OLD 1999 CHEAP CAR IS A HIGHT PRICE TO PAY, I understand you got rent and employees to pay ...but again is just an observation . bottom line , took my car to AUTO Zone got a free computer diagnostic FREE and reveal the same exact issues, I also purchase a cheap diagnostic device(OBD2/EOBD/SCAN) on ebay for $6.99 and also reveal the same exact issues YOUR SHOP GAVE ME FOR $102.00 . The almost $900.00 your shop quoted me on total repairs I got fix for $340.00 at a local repair shop also in the area and the diagnostic they gave me also reveal the same issues for $29.99 ( no hidden shop fee on diagnostics) that was later accredited to the work done !!! ...on a good note I do have to say that the young guy you have working up front have good customer service skills, I respectfully wish you the best. Thank you.

Very inexperienced auto techs. Very young guy with glasses changed the oil in my car and literally turned on my brand new car with no oil in the engine to check the mileage to make the sticker on top of that he forgot to place my radiator fluid cap back on. Thank god I didnt loose it on the way home. The young kid was clueless. Horrible atmosphere no one makes you feel welcomed especially the clean shaven heavy set bald guy who has a horrible attitude and crap look on his face and cant even look you in the eyes when you speak to him. This shows every one that comes to this shop that this person has superior low self esteem and clearly dislikes dealing with the clients. The owner of this place better tighten up and pull his staff together or just close or sell the damn business. Wont be coming back. Goodbye and much luck. Plenty of other shops to go to Hialeah has one in every corner. To the people who believe this review is a misrepresentation of this business, I advise you to reevaluate your useless thoughts and understand completely that this review was based on my experience which was extremely horrible and the local public must be aware of it to avoid any further destruction of hard working civilians vehicles like mines at the establishment notated above. By the way I will be contacting the Florida Department of Labor and Consumer Services and request that your business provide me with the ASE certification of the technician who serviced my vehicle. Day After: to Your response: You must have a lot of time on your hands, no wonder your business is failing and you had to cut the hours of your shop you guys spend to much time on the internet at work, what a bunch of losers. Do yourself a favor and learn the meaning of hateful and derogatory language, you have no clue of the meaning of neither. No hateful, discriminatory, prejudice, racist or derogatory language was ever used in my review not now nor before I adjusted my review, get your facts right buddy and go back to school and learn the basics of the English language. Have that ASE certification ready for the city officials and my attorney, and I dont want to hear the excuse of that specific tech being an intern because of you dance around that you have just committed a federal crime and have violated the laws of the Florida Department of Labor and Consumer Services.

Stay away from this place at all cost. They are nothing but dishonest and untrustworthy. I took my vehicle in just a couple of days ago. They told me I had to change both of the door switches to fix the problem I had described to them. I had done my research the night before taking the vehicle to them so I had a pretty good Idea of what it was and how to fix it. (Thank god for YouTube) I decided to take it them anyway since Im really busy and I dont have the time to work on my vehicles. About an hour after I left the vehicle they called me to tell me that my cost would be 499.00 to fix the problem on my car. They told me I would have to replace both driver and passenger side door switches. After their phone call to tell me about the cost I told them not to do the job and that I will pay their very costly diagnosis cost of 89.00 which by the way was a total of 104.00 not 89.00 as I was told before leaving the vehicle. I picked up my vehicle took it to Autozone I had the same diagnosis done for free and I was told that the cause of the alarm going off and the "Door Ajar" message I was getting on my 2003 Ford Explorer was caused by not both of the switches as Hialeah Auto Care Center claimed but by only the passenger side switch. I bought the switch from Autozone for 29.00 not the 90.00 that Hialeah Auto Care Center said it cost them and did the job myself in 30 minutes. Hialeah Auto Care Center as well as any business has the right to make money after all they are in business. One thing is to make money and one thing is to be dishonest in not giving the right information to your customer so you can gain from it unfairly. Please dont go to Hialeah Auto Care Center because they will try to overcharge you in every way from price of parts to time of labor.
