Recent poor service from manager (will no longer be a customer) I have gotten takeout from Bagel Emporium about once or twice a month. Generally service is fine and food is OK. Recently, however, I had a poor experience with my takeout. I had ordered a toasted bagel with lox and light cream cheese for a friend. When I got home we discovered that the bagel was without lox, but had some "nova" or "salmon/cream" cheese spread, not at all what we wanted. I went back to the restaurant and told them there was a mistake and this is not what I ordered. The owner or manager behind the counter had instructed the employee to simply add the lox to the old bagel, which was by now quite soggy. I therefore asked if they could just make a new bagel. The "manager" initially refused, stating that it was "essentially" my fault and that I had asked for Nova spread (I had never heard of Nova spread before). I informed him that I had not ordered Nova spread, and I repeated my order to him. I said if he wouldnt do it, Id like my money back. He quickly acquiesced and a fresh bagel and lox was prepared. However, the manager told the employee to charge me the difference (which turned out to be $8), which was a bit unexpected since they had (I felt) messed up and incovenienced me. If the bagel wasnt for a friend, I would have left right then. The manager never once apologized for the inconvenience, and acted like a putz. I will never get food from this place again.

This Place has been around a long time, and I have eaten here on many occasions, but the reason this get a 1 Star and thats being generous in my opinion. I have heard on several occasional the way the store manager and owner talk to their employees. I will never support a business that treats another human this way. I was embarrassed for them. If violence was legal, these guys need a good ass kicking. They should be sitting in an empty restaurant looking at each other, But this will never happen because of the reputation of the food. Yes the food is good, but THE OWNER AND MANAGEMENT SUCK!!!!! People like this should not be rewarded with success.

STAY AWAY!!!! Used to go to bagel emporium nearly everyday for breakfast takeout. Besides the fact that half the time they got my order wrong, I looked passed it because it was convenient. Went to get their already overpriced breakfast sandwich today and from yesterday the price had increased and the manager had no excuse. He said "if I dont want it I can just leave". Will never be going back to this place. Cubans running the place have no idea how to treat customers. Go to Starbucks. Will update when I find a better place that values people giving them their hard earned money.

I had noticed the coffee was pretty watered down and hoped it was a one time thing. But it is the same poor coffee everytime. I have gone a few times after for breakfast and that is it for me and my husband. We have complained and just get a lame excuse that half the customers like it weak and half do not. Give me a break, who wants watered down coffee. Too bad because the food is good but we will not be going back anytime soon. This is a bit too cheap for us. Give your customers a good cup of coffee!

Recently came to UM to study phyco therapy. And came with friends to have breakfast about the much talked Bagel Emporium. Always wanted to try US style breakfast and it is very different from my home country; Japan. Manager and owner provided good services but the male cashier awwful and I would give Bagel Emporium atleast 3 star if it was not for this male cashier. Food was good as well. I had eggs well done and they were cooked well. Domo, Jin.

Ill try to keep this short. Bagels were hard, my everything bagel had everything off of it (it legitimately looked like a plain bagel) and the server was by no means welcoming. We were served around 9:30am so I dont think the bagels should have been tough at this point. If the price was more reasonable then maybe I could understand the service and quality of food...but I wouldnt consider breakfast a good value.

9-12-2016 Visited during 1130am or so to grab and early start on lunch. Food was exceptional as always but there was an AA lady in the back that was joking around and laughing really loud to the point that she almost tripped with laughter. It was a pretty messy view. Its work envrionment and sadly we all have to conduct ourselves professionally.

This place is great for a traditional breakfast meal, but I wouldnt recommend anything outside of the norm. Service could also be better. Location is great for those who live near, work at, or attend UM but with a Dennys three minutes away, this isnt the only option. Definitely a Coral Gables staple, though.

The food here is excellent! The menu is quite broad, theres something even for your picky friends. I usually have an omelette or other breakfast combo platters, but I have friends that really dig their lunch menu as well. They turn tables quickly, and their servers are generally nice, if a bit unrefined.

Spent last vacation in Miami and ate at Bagel emporium everyday. Since Jan 2015, quality of food, service, cleanliness and value has significantly decreased. Had a bacon egg & cheese sandwich and side of home fries. Ill definitely be finding a new place to enjoy breakfast while in Miami.

In the grim darkness of Bagel Emporium there is ONLY BREAKFAST. Dont stray off the path. The other four pages of the menu are purely decorative. Thankfully, the breakfast is amazing. Get the smoked fish platter. Best nova in South Florida. Quick, friendly service.

Standard deli fare. Im right down the middle on this one. Nothing spectacular and can be overpriced on such things as a smoked salmon plate, but if youre feeling under the weather, grab a pint of their chicken noodle or matzah ball soup to go.

Got breakfast delivered this morning, courtesy of Uber Eats, and it is SOOOO good. Whole wheat toast with strawberry jelly, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, and home fries. The home fries were the highlight.

Great bagels! This is currently my favorite bagel spot in Miami. I lived on the East Coast for a bit, and the Bagel Emporium is definitely competitive in terms of taste and price! Check it out.
