Now first off, Chelsea and I both deal closely with USPS because we have our own businesses through Etsy and Ebay. We are constantly in and out of our local USPS back home in NY and have even created relationships with the employees there. But thats back home and I guess here in Florida employees dont have the same level of respect as where we live. Glad we will be returning to NY and not having to deal with this level of unprofessionalism. My girlfriend is a big fan of online shopping and being thousands of miles away from home doesnt change that for her. I am also a fan of online shopping especially when it comes to amazon prime. When we first got here we placed about 3 or 4 orders to be delivered to my mothers home. Unfortunately we didnt find out until after the orders were placed that our gated community didnt receive mail as it was considered a vacation resort and not actually homes. We were pretty upset but found out that we could just pick the packages up at our local post office, which BTW is NOT local. Its about a 30 minute drive. The first time I went to the Davenport post office to pick up one of my packages it was a quick and pleasant experience. Now the second time was when i was introduced to the supervisor Angela Bolencia(the name I was told by the other employees so i dont know if thats really her name). I told her my package was sent to this post office because of an undeliverable address. She found my package with no problems. However, when she handed me the package she gave me an attitude and said get a p.o. box to which I explained that I dont live here so that wouldnt be possible. We said our goodbyes and that was that. Now fast-forward to a week...We are now back at the post office picking up Chelseas package and also our last one. At first one of the employees said wed have to come back tomorrow because the systems were down, but after explaining that we live 30 minutes away we were told that the supervisor would help us. And this is where our whole experience turned ugly with the supervisor Angela. At first she sees us and immediately makes a rude comment saying "Havent I seen you here before..." and then she follows up with "is this your last package" and before Chelsea or I can answer walks away with an attitude. Then after 10 minutes of waiting she comes back and throws the package on the counter. Chelsea got extremely upset and took the package and we walked away. As we were walking away Angela the supervisor yells "youre welcome." Now I say thank you and as soon as i say thank you Angela the supervisor yells back "you know i dont have to do this for you" and that was the end of both Chelseas and my patience. Immediately Chelsea retaliates and they both are arguing in front of customers. This was the WORST experience we have ever had with a "professional" let alone a women who is apparently given the title supervisor. For her to tell Chelsea and myself that she doesnt have to do this for us is unacceptable and ridiculous. This is her job and we are customers. We are both in shock and even the other employees were shocked at the amount of unprofessionalism that the "supervisor" had. And the worst part about the whole experience is the fact that this older women whos supposed to be the supervisor of the Davenport, Florida United States Postal Office started the whole argument in front of customers and her employees by making rude comments and yelling in a place of business. This is no way to run a business or to represent the United States Postal Service. We are filing more complaints about this situation until justice is served. She is a prideful women who instead of caring about her position as a professional decided to act like a child. I no longer want to even deal with USPS anymore. We are thinking of changing to FedEx or UPS as they are WAY more professional in our experience then this. To make matters worse, the Davenport Post Office doesnt even have a working phone number where they can be contacted, just simply a dial tone.

Worst post office ever! Poor customer service. Packages sit for days without being placed in boxes or notifying customers. Packages show up at the post office (because the carrier service decides to drop them there instead of at my home) and since I dont have a personal mail box, the post office sends them back. But they have assured me that is not their standard operating procedure. After Ive called the company to fix the problem, the post office miraculously finds the package. This has happened 3 times in the past month. But the package sits at the post office for at least 2 weeks. And then the postmaster tells me I should use the post offices physical address with my box number to "ensure" I get my packages. So I do - and even paid for expedited service because I wanted it faster. AND the package was delivered yesterday - but they cant find it. Stating, well, maybe it is on the car and well have to get it later tonight when the carrier comes back to the office. On the car? It was sent to THEIR physical address - not mine. I dont understand why you cant just be nice to your customers - and it isnt because they work for the government - I work in government and our agency demands great customer service, or else. Too bad there arent other options for your mail - Id so be outta there!

#1. Every time you call, you get a busy signal. No voice mail, no call waiting, nothing. Obviously they could care less and would rather not hear from you. #2. They pick up packages from my business and refuse to scan them in the office. "Oh, Ill scan them back at the post office." #3. They took my FED-EX packages that were waiting for the Fed-Ex guy to pick up LAST MONTH, and didnt inform me. Only after I replaced 4 of the 6 packages did I find they were all supposedly shipped the same day, and Fed-Ex claimed they never got any of them. I called the post office for 2 days. When I finally got a hold of someone, they told me they had the packages on a shelf, there at the post office, waiting for me to come get them. #4. TODAY The guy cam to pick up packages, did not scan any of them, AND dropped two packages in the parking lot, and drove away. One package was worth $92.73, the other was over $300!!!! I cannot contain myself any longer!!!! And now, My BUSINESS gets a new postal person EVERY SINGLE DAY! OH YAY! And my customers ask me why it takes so long for the post office to deliver. I guess, maybe they can answer that question for me as well!

Ordered a book online. It was tall and thin (sheet music). Package was not insured (although that had nothing to do with me). Package arrived in padded bubble mailer, and mail carrier decided "I dont feel like walking up to front door to deliver, I think I will just fold this 13" tall book in HALF and forcefully shove into the 4"x4" mailbox". The book was ruined, obviously. USPS would not claim responsibility saying that "the package does not say do not bend so that gives the carrier the right to fold it in half". And of course it wasnt insured so no chance of getting any money back even though the only issue was the mail carrier consciously mistreating it. By this logic, a mail carrier could in theory steal an uninsured package, or rip it up in front of you, and best case scenario you will get an "apology" from the USPS and he will get a "slap on the wrist". Not to mention it is virtually impossible to even get a hold of them by phone. If you can, use FedEx or UPS. Even if it is far more expensive. USPS is not worth the frustration. At least with UPS the packages arrive in tact, guaranteed. UPS is known for proper and careful delivery.
