I needed a 10 x 20 space and was looking for an easy to reach place off of the highway in the area of 595 in Davie. I stopped by to check out the property and get the rates. Normally I see $1 first month rent deals just about everywhere but I figured this might not apply to the big units. Mike the property manager told me that they did not have any such units available yet, but he would put my name on a list for the next available one and call me on the 20th of the month. The $1 deal did not apply. He pointed out that this particular location has a roof covering the units so if happens to be raining, you are covered. None of the other Public Storage places I know of have this so the location was even better than I hoped for. Tammy, the relief manager called me on the given date and told me that a unit opened up. They held it for me for four days while I was traveling. I came back to the property to see the unit and do the paperwork. Mike was very funny as I recalled from the first meeting and he remembered my name when I walked through the door. He showed me how to enter the property using the keypad, drove me to the unit, showed me the light switch in case I am there in the dark, pointed out the bathroom location and made sure the light in the unit actually worked. This kind of service is not easily found anymore so I was somewhat taken aback...but very impressed. I was given a lock to the unit too. Nicki the beautiful assisted with paperwork while Mike was off helping another customer. A special rate of half off the first month was given without me even asking for a discount. The team really showed me that service is still alive. I dont suspect I will be hanging out there much socializing because it is simply a place to keep stuff I probably no longer need anyway, but I will remember their names and I feel a whole lot more secure in knowing that they care about their customers, the property they manage (it was spiffy clean everywhere) and my stuff...even though I should just donate it. I would say if you are one to read reviews and are make decisions based on them, go to this facility and see for yourself that the service you would hope for is delivered with a smile and a handshake.

We were moving and needed a place to store our belongings for about 2 months. I shopped around and visited several locations before choosing this location (which happens to be a Public Storage site). On my first visit, I was interested immediately by their hours - the storage facility is open until 9 PM; and thats you have to be in by 9 PM, not drop everything youre doing and get out by 9 PM. After discussing pricing (which was very competitive to the other locations I had visited), Mike took me on a tour of the units. I ended up choosing a 10 x 10. Mike handed me a security lock to put on my unit and we went downstairs to finish the paperwork. This storage location was unique in design, which was a plus that I didnt really take into account until I actually started using the facility. The entire storage process is under a roof. What I mean is that even unloading/loading of my car and truck was under the roof (not just an overhang). With the frequent rain we get here in South Florida, I appreciated this feature very quickly. While other places I visited were indoors, outside I still had to get my belongings out of the car or truck and into the facility. While my unit was on the second floor, this posed no problem. There are two elevators and three flatbed carts. I could essentially park in front of an elevator, load up a flatbed, and go straight to the second floor and my unit very quickly. The facility was clean and well maintained. I did not see any bugs on my frequent visits to the location. There is a gate that requires a code to get in and out and the facility appeared to be secured. I was very happy with the service that Mike and the rest of the staff offered. If I need a storage solution again in the future, I will definitely consider this location.

I first went online to find a self-storage location near me, where I found an online quote for what I thought I would need. Given the great deal over the phone, I reserved a 12ftx30ft storage unit for $1 + $22 (one-time administration fee). As a first-time storage renter I was unaware of how expensive some of these units can be, but with deals like this-- you cant pass them up! You do have to rent a lock from them or bring your own, and you also have to get insurance (which is as low as $11/month). I didnt like that I had to get insurance (nothing Im storing is really of any value... I just need it for the time-being until I move into my new place...and even then I plan on getting new furniture) but for a total of $35 for the size of the unit-- it cannot be beat. A gentleman by the name of Mike assisted me-- he was EXTREMELY well informed and such a great host. He took me on a tour of the unit before signing the contract and gave me a step-by-step introduction of the property and how & when I can access the unit. Very easy process, very fast and professional. If I ever need to store in the future, this is the FIRST place I will go. They have something for everyone-- you just tell them what you have to store and they have what you need...whether it be boxes, locks, bigger or smaller units-- the options are endless. Oh AND did I mention, they have a COVERED drive-thru that allows you to move RAIN OR SHINE! In Florida, that is a MUST!

We have rented from this location for almost 6 years. Mike is by far the best manager that this facility has ever had. He and Larry work hard keeping the place as clean and neat as possible. They both have been very helpful when we have had any issue; they have always worked closely with us to procure the correct size facility when our needs have changed. We appreciate their professionalism and willingness to make things right. We also love the configuration of the complex: the roof is a life saver during the summer rains. My only complaint is that Public Storage as a company does not reward their long-term tenants(--this is a corporate issue and has nothing to do with Mike). As they offer move in specials to new customers, they should consider a promotion or two to those faithful and consistent loyal customers. My suggestion would be give a months rent free for every year the tenant has been renting. This would be a good way to build a stronger bond with those loyal customers and to reassure them that they are renting from right people. This is called building strong relationships with those who pay the bills.

This Public Storage location is one of the best storage locations I have every worked with in many states. The facility is as convenient as possible to access and use. Located right at the 595 exits, you can be in and out with no problem. Inside the facility the ability to unload/load items couldnt be more convenient and close to your unit. Above all the service, and attention from Mike was excellent and above all expectations. Mike took care of everything, explained everything and no games. Mike is the best you could ask for in taking care of your needs. Mike and this facility are the 2 reasons you should consider this location. There are many in Miami and I researched in Miami-Dade and Broward. This by far was the best! Thanks for the help Mike!
