Service was horrendous! I decided to leave my vehicle here since I was going out of town for a modest amount of time. At first everything seemed fine, the lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I left my vehicle on the 8th of a month and notified them I will be picking it up on the 13th the following month. I asked if that would be fine and that I would not have to pay for two entire months. She said it was not a problem and that I could pick it up on the 13th. A week later I received a call from a woman telling me I owed a whole other month. I immediately called back to the front desk and informed them that I was told otherwise. They said they would contact the District Manager, named Pavel, and they would call me back. Two weeks went by and I heard nothing. I decided to take matters into my own hands, I traveled back to the location and talked to the woman in person. She said not to worry about it and that she would contact the District Manager and call me back. Three days later still no sign of a phone call. I called once again and asked for specifically for the District Managers number. I called him and left a voicemail about my issue. It took him almost two weeks to call me back. Instead of understanding the situation he kept repeating, "It does not say that in the contract". Once again I tried to explain myself and he rudely interrupted me in the middle of my sentence. He said he would call me back. Here I am still waiting on a call back. I would not recommend this location at all. The customer service is absolutely horrible. The storage I was assigned was filthy and nasty. In my 28 years as an active soldier in the Armed Forces I have never been treated this way by any storage and I have been to plenty. I commend the lady at the front desk for trying to help me but in all honesty find another storage location somewhere else in Daytona or a nearby city.

Update- Got a call back from public storage asking me if there was anything they could do for me to fix it. I already went with another unit. They asked me to remove my review, while I will not do that I will update it to say someone did call me to try to resolve my problem but I will not remove my review to protect their reputation. If they want better reputation maybe they shouldnt hire managers that lie straight to your face. Id rather people be warned than screwed over. probably would have rented a unit if the sales associate didnt lie to me about it being a Florida law to have insurance on a unit. Especially when Ive used public storage in the past and know thats not true. Plus the spray on insulation is falling all onto the ground as well as all the paint chipping of the walls from how moist it is in the building. Go with south Daytona storage. 24/7 on site security and motion sensors as well as way better prices that public storage couldnt match.

Customer Service has a NEW name and that name is Mary Matutat!!! She is honest, helpful, wise and lets you know all details about everything. She is very smart and has helped me tremendously with storage issues. Mary should get a raise today! Mary should also be the manager. As a manager she can train other employees to have the "style" of customer service she has. Public Storage better listen to me cause my company will "steal" Mary and put her in a job with us. Not only does she help with storage issues, but she tells us how to get around Daytona streets, where to go to find this, where to go to find that. Im telling you, Mary needs to get a raise or risk being stolen by another company. Its in writing.....thats how good Mary Matutat is at her job!! Sincerely S.Y.R

Joe and Jex were wonderful to deal with. The corporate aspect of this company is a nightmare. The call center representative assured me multiple times that the unit I was renting was climate controlled. As Joe told me, that happens a lot and just because a unit is indoor, does not make it climate controlled. When trying to speak to a manager at the call center, I was pushed around to different departments, multiple rude representatives, and promised a call back from a manager that never happened.Good luck trying to solve any issues with this company. They are super nice when selling you overpriced boxes but god forbid something go wrong, you are better off going to the dentist and getting your teeth pulled. It will be a more pleasant experience.

JOE is the only reason Ive kept my stuff there so long. He is a great manager and does a fine job with his work and ethic. That being said, by the time ps added fees and mandatory insurance,I was 20$ more per month than my original storage cost. One can only hope they have someone like Joe at each and every property as I guarantee it would be a LOT emptier without him. Thank you Joe for all your commitment and hard work. If I had to review strictly on public storage without Joe, I would have given 1 star.

Ive had my things here for about a month now and I have to say that they are wonderful! Mary was a huge help and very friendly since the first time we met! She helped me determine the right size unit and didnt try to oversell me, when I thought I should go bigger...she made some great points and helped me save money! I got a GREAT deal...better price and size than anywhere else I looked. I cannot give a better recommendation for her or this place! I have no worries about my things being here...

What a great place for storage , I went in about a week ago and was helped by Joe and Terry . I was not sure of what size of storage I needed , Joe walked me through everything I was storing and told me what size I needed , a true expert in the field , on out way back from him showing me the unit , Terry suggested some items that would help me move such as boxes, bed covers , and wrapping , 100% great experience and one stop shop . Mary was very helpful, friendly, and upbeat. She was a pleasure to work with and made sure we got the proper storage for our needs. She provided us with some tips on packing the unit and ways to ensure that our valuables would be safe while in storage. Everything was clearly explained and she even followed up to see how our move was going or if we had any questions. A great experience all the way!!!

We had a Nice 10 X 20 nice and long Clean unit. Joe the Property Manager I give 5 thumbs up. {{{{ Towards the end I moved out because Roaches & Mice & Mice S***. I had a 2 Public Storage units in Danbury,CT and Never had any Roach nor Mice Problem. Maybe the Owners of the Property should spend More MONEY for Pest Control so people like me could stay.

It is so uncomfortable and hot inside the indoor locker areas, worst of all like it is outside now in August! Within 5 minutes of opening my locker Im literally soaking wet in sweat and there is NO air conditioning or circulation at ALL. Ive heard many other people complain about the exact same thing. They never turn on the fans inside and its awful!
