RED FLAG.......German woman goes missing, dies during SWFL visit. A lot of mass-shootings in Ft. Myers. Very dangerous place to visit for anyone.A 49-year-old German resident who was in Southwest Florida to visit her daughter was found dead after disappearing Friday, a close family friend told WINK News. The cause of death for Simone Barkowski remains unknown. She depended on medication, her daughter said. She left her daughter’s San Carlos Park home in her blue Saab convertible between 8 and 9 a.m. Friday morning and hadn’t been seen since, according to her daughter. Barkowski told her daugher she was going to the beach for a few hours and would return. She frequented Barefoot and Bonita beaches, her daughter said. No further information is immediately available. Corruption is rampant. Visit Naples instead. Ft Myers is a dirty place anyway. Its beaches are filthy. I recommend Nokomis Beach or Englewood. Try to avoid going into Ft. Myers. This city has been red-flagged before by The German Chancellor for several murders aimed at German tourist and Europeans. Avoid using clutch bags and jewelry. Never go alone to the beach here anyway. Please take a buddy with you. NEVER GO ALONE ! To dangerous.

We have had AAA for many years. Every time I personally visited the agency I was pleased with the service. In the past few years we have had our homeowners and auto insurance with AAA. I have watched the prices go up and up every year even without ever having an accident or homeowners claim. Even after paying off our home and car.....they continued to show a mortgage on our paperwork. Recently we had a water leak in our ceiling in our home. The agent we worked with in the Tampa office was the worst person we have ever worked with. She never returned out calls when asked to and was so difficult that she left a very sour taste in our mouths. Recently we called the Ft. Myers office to get a re-quote on our insurances as they never took the mortgage info off and the price kept rising. We are still waiting for a call back after waiting for one week. We are now getting quotes from other companies as we are so disappointed and disgusted with AAA. A one star is too many to give them.

After many years of having AAA on and off, I decided to add my son and upgraded to the AAA Plus. To my dismay, when I finally needed the service for a 6 mile towing turned out in a 3 hours waiting. I was very upset with AAA service and urge others to not use their service anymore. I got upset with the towing co. but at the end its not their fault. AAA is the one supposed to offer a quick service no matter the urgency. When I called to request another towing co. they said I would have to re-start the whole request again and wait another couple of hours. How can AAA not have any other company in a city such as Tampa? Something wrong there. AAA is no longer the same good company that was quick and prompt to assist you. Conclusion: will never will renew and AAA again.

Very disappointing... Purchased tickets for Universal Studies and Disney. Live in Florida and was given Florida discount tickets for 434.49 three day ticket for three adults at Disney and 520.74 for two days at Universal Studio. On arrival was informed Florida discounts not valid during black out and had to spend another 456.75 for Disney tickets and 214.99 for Universal. AAA representative booked us at Best Western Hotel on Jamaican Court. The place was a dump. Wasp nest in the room, tub was not cleaned daily, bugs in the bed and ants on the bed table. Complained to front desk who said they would check into it. Should have expected it would be a dump at 105.88 per night. Will NEVER use the travel services again.

I usually enjoy visiting the AAA office in Ft. Myers. On this day, I stopped at the front desk and picked up a map, then asked to speak with "my" travel agent. She was not there, but the receptionist sent me to another travel specialist. Unfortunately, this specialist did not make a good impression. I asked her about getting cabins on a Royal Caribbean cruise in the fall. Basically, she told me to just look it up online myself. Ummm...whaaat??? You want to give up making a booking for two cabins on a cruise ship because it is too difficult to look it up yourself? Or what? Luckily, I found another travel agent willing to do the "looking up" and booked our two cabins with them (NOT AAA). Very disappointed.

I have been an AAA member for many years and never regretted it. Here is the latest reason why: this evening we called AAA because the car was not starting. In less than an hour, Robert F was on the scene. Within moments, AAA called to confirm his arrival. Problem was quickly diagnosed, and the battery - which was still under AAA warranty - was replaced. When a company hires the nicest people, who perform their jobs cheerfully and efficiently with a great attitude, it makes you want to stay with it! With AAA as my back-up, I never worry about being stuck on the road or even in my driveway due to a car problem. Thanks AAA, for being there, and for hiring great people like Robert!

I was a bit disappointed with AAA Ft. Myers. We recently moved to Florida and I wanted to update my residence etc. First I was told they couldnt find my wifes membership at all and somehow I ended up with two membership numbers. My wife called when I got home and gave them our original AAA number and they found it. We were told that we would receive new membership cards in the mail. 3 weeks later (now going on 4) we still havent received them. Dont know if it is Ft. Myers AAA or something that happens when you transfer to another branch. Saying that, the AAA representative was more than pleasant and willing to help us. Ray Benard

We went to check on tours from Las Vegas to places in the vicinity amnd they had info from only one tour company the used globally. Not much info and prices were more than what had found on the internet The customer service lady suggested waiting till we got there to check which was in direct opposition what I had been told by people who had traveled to Las Vegas before. When I got home and looked on line the prices she had quoted me were $15 to $30 more than on line! It was essentially a wasted trip to the AAA office. We also waited for about ten minutes to be seen and three of the reps seemed to be busy doing nothing.

I had a flat tire yesterday on the way back from a day at the beach. I called AAA roadside assistance and was greeted by a friendly lady. The first question she asked me was "are you safe?" I was, but it was nice to know that she was concerned about that before I even gave her my membership number. Thank you! Eric, my roadside assistant, was there in less than 10 minutes and gave me a cold bottle of water as soon as he got out of his truck. That was very much appreciated. He changed my tire in no time flat, was very professional and friendly. They really made a stressful situation easier to deal with. Thank you!
