I needed my driver door and header panel replaced. I dropped the car and replacement parts off late on Monday. I was told it would be done Tuesday and theyd call. They did not call. When I called them they said they didnt get to it and it would be the next day. I went there Wednesday around noon thinking surely theyd be done soon, but they still had not even begun working on the car. To add insult to injury, when explaining how their not keeping to schedule was my fault, the manager got a very unpleasant, demeaning tone to his voice. We did, however, agree that I would be called if any issues with the replacements came up. When I finally got the car back, a bolt fell from the hinge of the door that was replaced, the turn signal keeps falling out of the header panel, and the door wont open all the way because it catches on the frame of the car. When I brought the car back to Maaco to try to get these issues resolved, the manager told me it was my own fault for bringing used parts to replace the old ones, the light was already broken and he didnt see that as being an important reason to call before the job was "done", he never should have taken the job, and he did not appreciate getting a call from Maaco (corporate). He stated that he had to shoulder the burden of fixing my car... Yet, Im the one that pays for it. He did however offer to fix the light if I brought in more parts, despite saying he would no longer work with used parts. My car is old and its no longer possible to get new parts for it. Your car will not be done on time, you will be treated like its your fault and that youre stupid when you take issue with it, the work done on your car will not be worth the money you pay for it, and they will not do much to rectify the situation when you come back angry. GO ANYWHERE ELSE!

My friend and neighbor had his car painted at your location on Fowler Street in Fort Myers Fl. I saw his car when he got it back from the paint job and it looked good. Two years and three months later the paint job just about ALL OVER the car is peeling off. In some places you can even see large patches of the original Paint. We went to the shop to see if there was something they could do. I decided to go with him since I needed some work done on mine. It was a good thing I did because all we got were excuses. The gentleman started off by saying thats the Florida sun. (hmm not a good start). then, long story short, He basically stated that he got what he paid for. That he got the cheaper paint job and that because it was cheap that was normal. So I jumped in and stated that should have been mentioned or explained at the beginning. Maybe if he knew that, he would have paid for the GOOD PAINT JOB. Well to say the least after that poor paint job, and the explanation I decided that I should not take my car to Macco. Oh the gentleman did offer him a discount on the next paint job. Just ask for him. We called corporate and some woman listened to our complaint. Very nicely she replied. "Im so sorry you are having this problem. Go ahead and take your car to any Macco shop. Have your car repainted and then go ahead and pay for it". VERY Unlikely. Like I said. Im very glad I went with him. Oh and by the way, and I find this funny. Hes driving with a sign on his door "Painted by MACCO two years ago". I wouldnt trust them with painting a tricycle.

Recently, I decided to get my wifes car painted as a Christmas present. Its a 15 year old Mazda Miata in very good mechanical condition, but the paint was faded and peeling. The paint was so bad, we were ashamed to be seen in it. I had visited several local paint and body shops to get estimates for repainting the car, but all of them were way over the limit of my budget. Most of the estimates I received actually exceeded the blue book value of the car. Im not one to give up easily, so I continued searching for someone who would do quality work at a price I could afford. Thats when I visited Maaco of Fort Myers and Im glad I found them. I got a price quote that was so much lower than previous estimates that I was concerned about the quality I would receive. But my fears were unfounded, as when I went to pick up the finished car, I was pleasantly surprised to see a 2001 model car that looked like it just came off the showroom floor! Ive never bothered to write a review for any purchase Ive made in the past, but in this case I feel compelled to let everyone know how happy I am with the service I received. Richard, the owner of the Maaco shop and his manager Johnny exceeded my expectations and delivered a top quality paint job at a surprisingly affordable price. I highly recommend Fort Myers Maaco for any body repairs and painting. Thanks Richard and Johnny for a job well done!

I have a Jaguar that had been damaged due to bird droppings. Jaguar of Fort Myers does not have a body shop and asked me to call PermaPlate to get my warranty work done. PermaPlate gave me MAACO of Fort Myers and we had the work done. After the first job, it was unsuitable and jaguar said the job was unsatisfactory to put another coat of PermaPlate on the hood. We were told to bring it back for a wet sanding job and we did. The car was received with swirl marks on the hood and we asked about the marks. We were told they would wash off, but my wife washed the car twice and the marks are still there. I would have thought as a body shop, they would have washed and polished the hood to bring it back to the original work or at least look like the rest of the car. Since we were still unsatisfied, I called to talk to the owners son Joe Leatherwood, but the person on the desk told me that he was in the shop for the week and would not be able to return my call. I sent an email to Mr. Leatherwood, but no response, so I wrote the company of PermaPlate and am following up with the franchise why a customer cannot get satisfaction or even a return phone call from from one of your franchises. Respectfully, Richard

Never hooked up backup camera, didnt put mudflaps all the way on broke a sensor holder left tape on truck left razor blades and garbage in truck. Wanted us to drive it back an hour 1 way to fix what they forgot. Charged to put stone guards on. They were jambed in the cup holder of truck. I thought it was garbage. They refuse to return the money for the stone guards unless I drive the hour back and waste addtional time to give them the stupid plastic stone guards back. My husband spent an hour fixing all the stuff on the truck and the want us to waste 3 more hours to put on plastic strips. This was after having the truck an extra day and a half at the shop and no phone call to tell me it was not done. Manager agreed at first to getting my money returned on work they didnt do plus the stone guard plastic strips but owner said no the next day. I was told nobodys perfect. Well thats true but in a customer service based industry you have to compensate for that. If it was just 1 thing the forgot I can see it, but several in inexcusable. Poor customer service.
