Greg and his team from Veterans Moving Help were recommended by the salesperson at the facility where my mother was moving. I was extremely pleased with them the three times I hired Greg and his team. The first time, they moved my mother from her home to The Atrium, an assisted living facility in Gainesville. They moved a 3-bedroom home into a two-bedroom apartment in a matter of four hours: his team was very efficient and courteous and treated her belongings as if they were their own. The second time we used them, it was to move furniture and other items (not moved to The Atrium or sold) to storage and prepare the house for sale. Two gentlemen came and helped pack the various items in the same manner as before, as I expected, and placed them in the storage unit in an orderly fashion. The last time we hired them, there were a number of items that had to be moved to storage and I was scheduled to take a train to Baltimore the next day. I called Greg and explained my dilemma. Greg said I could leave the storage key with my mother and he would take care of making sure everything I wanted would be moved to storage and the key returned to my Mother. I dont know of any moving company willing to work with a client with last minute needs and not charge you an enormous amount of money. I was able to leave for Baltimore secure in the knowledge that the items would be taken to storage in the same manner as they were previously. I was disappointed that I couldnt use them to move all the items in storage to Baltimore (they dont have a northeastern connection). I would highly recommend Veterans Moving Help for any moving job, large or small. Greg and his team are efficient, courteous, and more than able to pack and deliver your personal items securely and safely.

Paid a deposit of $99 for two guys to arrive at my house at 1:00 on moving day. This was confirmed on the day prior to moving day. On moving day I received a call stating they could not find us on mapquest. I spoke personally to one of the guys who was supposed t come and gave him directions. A few minutes later, he called me back to say he had "vehicle problems" and would have to take a bus, and could I pick him up at the bus stop near my home. I agreed to this. At 1:00 nobody had arrived, so I called the guy and he said that the other guy had not shown up and it would just be him, and he would not be at my local bus stop for at least another hour. At that point I called Veterans Moving Help and spoke to Greg and requested a refund of my deposit, and for him to cancel the one guy who was already late. Greg agreed and I clarified to him that I had paid the $99 deposit via Discover card. Two weeks later, I have sent two emails to Greg asking when I can expect my refund and have not received a reply at all. I wanted to love this company. I like the concept and I support our military and our vets. But for them not to show up on time, and only one guy to be even attempting to show up when Id paid for two, is unacceptable. A friend came and helped us load our U-Haul truck that day, an active Navy man, and we gave him the money + tip we had planned to give to the Veterans Moving Help guys. Moving, on a deadline, is stressful enough without having to deal with crap like this. I want my money back, since no service was provided, much less the service I was promised when I gave them a deposit.

Awful service! I would never recommend them to anyone! They started our wonderful experience off by not actually putting me on the schedule. I was surprised to find out why they were late, that there wasnt anyone coming to my house. I was told itd be 2-3 hours before I could get a couple guys to show up... it was 6 hours later. I paid for three guys to show up; only two actually showed up. Eventually the third guy came, and eventually a fourth. Since they were late, I had to keep the moving truck an extra day, they offered to pay the truck expense, but I have yet to receive the reimbursement. Greg has avoided my calls and hasnt returned my messages. Unacceptable customer service in my opinion. And lastly, the guys that came to my house NEVER served in the military! They may be veterans of something; but it sure isnt military service. Really a despicable claim. Pathetic. Save some mental agony, use someone else! While the response from Veteran Movers may seem like theyve tried to reconcile the extra cost of the moving truck they caused. They have not! My anger and frustration is directed at the actual company and Greg. I should have cancelled them when I thought about it earlier that day; a hunch I wish I wouldve followed. The movers that actually showed up to deal with a frustrated customer did what they were supposed to do - move my stuff. I will update my post when theyve appropriately settled my dispute on their behalf!

I referred a friend and her daughter to the moving service from Connecticut to Chicago. The Chicago representative contacted us to get the specifics, then called the night before and then two hours before to confirm. They booked two soldiers, because that is all I can trust to be among my friends. Two were supposed to show, yet three did for the same price. Instead of a 3rd floor 15 foot truck, with heavy furniture taking the 3 hour minimum; it took 45 minutes. They all worked like they were doing some type of military "maneuver" or something. My friends tried to help and were told; "we cannot allow our clients to do that". After my friends were asked, if you want to thank us; just tell our superiors. I believe that maybe the military, put into real world situations is a Godsend. This cannot be a real company. The values are nothing I have seen from current moving companies. They surpass and impress. Thank you for your service is the minimal that they deserve.

I had previously scheduled a move from gainesville to orlando with a different company for 6/24/17 and there was a miscommunication and they had me down for 7/24 instead. Im a physician and needed to move ASAP for a new job and had everything ready so I made several phone calls, and got a hold of Greg with Veterans movers. Not only was he exceptionally accommodating, he went far out of his way to help us move. 3 veterans helped us move and I was beyond impressed with their positive attitude and work ethic. They were working so hard that I actually felt guilty for how much I was making them work, but they were truly upstanding gentlemen. There were some very minor scratches, but I think with the size of our move (and as many times as i have moved) it is unavoidable not to have a few minor scratches. I would use this service again in a heartbeat.
