In my honest opinion, no matter where you work, youre not going to love some aspect of your job, be it your wage, the people you work with, your life being directly affected, or another personal problem of some sort. This being said, you are being paid, you can get over other people, and you can get over yourself. Now: if I call your company and you answer the phone and start talking to me with a tone indicating impatience, lack-of-interest, or a seemingly obvious notion that my inquiry did not necessitate taking time out of your obviously more important work-day, Im going to be royally pissed off. Guess what, Im royally pissed off. I called about my Registered Mail and the woman spoke to me like I was an idiot and then never even asked me if I needed any additional assistance or anything; she just finished what she had to tell me and hung up. The people at this post office are going to get Hell from me if I get any more of this malpracticed service. Ive gotten better customer service from McDonalds employees at 2:00 in the morning, and theyre notorious for being rude. The only thing I can attest to is that my Post Man, Lloyd, is a nice guy. He earned this office the second golden star. Otherwise theyd be stuck at 1 still.

AVOID THIS PLACE ....very nasty attitude , they dont care about the customers at all ,they are talking in between them ignoring their work and their customers.... for them is like a vacation time. Many times the line is huge ,they dont even knollage that ,they are socializing in between them like they didnt see each other for a long time ,ignoring the customers .I asked them why is so hard to focus and do their job quicker instead of socializing with themselves because is a huge line, and people are waiting for them to finish their stories and the answer was if I dont shut up they will call the cops ....So that level of intelligence said it all ,it is easy to call the cops instead of doing your job and focus on it ,it is easy to ignore your customers,is like they do us a favor by staying in that line for 50 min sometimes even longer. That place went from worst to very worst, and that is because their job is secure with USPS ,they dont care at all ....nobody cant touch them because they worked there for many years .... This should not give them the right to insult and ignore the customers .... But somehow they get away with everything ,and they still have a job even though they should be replaced by now many times....

Ive been to this United States post office several times in the past 3 years due to running errands for my job and never had an issue with any of the employees until today. I had a horrible experience Sam was very very rude. I asked him a simple question, "is his register the only one accepting credit cards?" His reply, "I dont know, Im not a supervisor, Im dealing with the customers in front of me and I dont know whats going on elsewhere. I told him he was really rude and not a team player. How could you not know whats going on in your workplace. Not only was he rude he was actually arguing with me until someone took him off the floor. What makes the matter worse I was there the day before and he was rude that day as well he must of hurt his hand I ask if he was ok he did not even say thanks for asking nor did he provide me with the best assistance. I was sending a certified letter he did not offer a mail return receipt. The representative that ended up helping me informed me of this feature. Now while Sam was in the back you could still hear him complaining and yelling. All I did was ask a simple question. In my personal experience he does not represent the United States postal service well.

I tried calling about a package that was listed as delivered. I gave it two days, then decided to inquire. Called for 2 hours. No pickup. I went to the post office and waited on line for 30 minutes. Then told I would have to speak to the manager. Another 20 minutes. The manager told me that that the mail carrier has lost a few other packages in the same week. That I am not the only person from my office building to call and complain. Maybe the carriers could scan it as delivered WHEN the item hits my box and NOT all at once when they get it. Delivery confirmation shows a delivery scan HOURS before I normally get packages/mail. Sure, it makes it all quicker for them, but what do you do when you lose packages??? Make up lies and play it off? Yep. Then the carrier has the nerve to cause a scene in my workplace saying that I called and complained to her manager. Thats what managers are for. I confronted this person and only got aggression and rude denials back. Not only am I at a big loss, the seller I purchased from is not liable to offer a refund because it shows as delivered! Thanks to the good ol folks here on Polk St. Please avoid this post office at all costs. GO ELSEWHERE!

Actually this is average USPS office with good and bad employees. They usually act professionally when you come to the retail and shipping something or picking up. The mail is being delivered properly although sometimes they tend to leave the notice about the parcel and do not knock the door. I dont know why they do that... May be they like to have longer lines in the retail office ;). Although recently I had one issue with re-delivery. For some reason they ignored 2 re-delivery notices I submitted online and even that one I put on the pink slip which they picked up from my mailbox. It is true that it is difficult to get someone to answer the phone. I had to dial the number several time and wait for about 4 minutes each time before someone actually picked-up the phone and answered. So please dont be too hard on them. People who work there are not being paid to be super-friendly. They get very small wages and survive huge pressure from heir bosses. We, the customers, can just embrace ourselves and keep pushing and asking politely and we will get what we need eventually...

Short and simple: to provide the best costumer service you need to guide your costumers, and be courteous while doing so. Without prejudicing, you must remember that is Not a Free service and you must work to satisfy the needs of your clientele and your corporation (public or private). In this form you will be able to maintain your job and achieve the greatness that has been apparently lost. Two stars represent my interaction first with a person whos obviously unsatsified with her job and assumes a position of further dissatisfaction when pointing that Ive placed my items to be sent internationally in the "wrong" box, and used the "wrong label." She had zero interest in guiding me. Honestly, this encounter deserved a less-than-one star. Luckily, a second representative was more attentive, courteous and willing to just go a little extra to satisfy a humble customer like me. She actually would have gotten a 5-star review if it wasnt for the first encounter.
