I first came to For Your Eyes Only Salon & Spa with a Groupon for a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. I brought with me my best friend, and new sister-in-law(s) as I was going to be getting married the next day. When I inquired about the potential of getting an up-do done the next day - my wedding day - I realized I was taking a risk that I might end up regretting, or even having to have to wash and return to my eu naturale after a wash and style at home - I had been considering doing a simple sweep or only curling my long hair. Still, we had all enjoyed the staff (including, rather especially, the exuberant, high-energy and exceptionally professional and friendly owner Carlos, who goes out of his way to make everyone feel so very warmly welcomed and appreciated for bringing him business) and the Mani/Pedis we had gotten were also done very well, so I scheduled an appointment with Larissa, promising to bring a photo of the up-do style I was thinking of, as well as the fascinator (Birdcage) that I planned to wear. My best friend also made a hair appointment for styling, so we would be returning together to enjoy yet another appointment (How often can you say that about a salon that youd never been to prior to that?) WOW!! Larissa BLEW me out of the water with her attention to detail, her quality styling and ability to emulate (perfectly) the photo I had brought! Additionally, she offered to do my wedding make-up, and since I had placed my tresses in her trust, I believed 110% she would complete the same wonderful transformation!! Without question, she accomplished a wedding miracle! :) I looked like I had just stepped off of a movie set! :) Today, I returned for a haircut and style, getting rid of approximately 8-9" and once again, Larissa knocked it out of the ballpark with her picture perfect cut and style!! (I had brought another photo of course!) Larissa clearly enjoys her job, has been highly trained and is a true artist and consummate professional! Thank you, thank you, thank you, For Your Eyes Only Salon & Spa - and Larissa and Carlos! I will look forward to following wherever you may go (and Ive never had a stylist that I have felt that way about!) - and as you move to your new site!

I went there due to a living social coupon. The coupon was for a gel man spa pedi, and a eyebrow wax for 44 bucks. Due to me recently getting my eyebrows done, I called and said what other option can we do to make up for the eyebrow waxing, and was told eyebrow waxing is $5.00, so if I didnt want my eyebrows done, I can simply get a French tip and is $5.00. When I arrived I went ahead and did the gel mani with no French tip, because I realized my eyebrows can use another touch up, and I wanted gel polish on my toes which is not covered by the coupon, and was told gel on toes would be $10.00. Checking out they charged me $15.00, I didnt realize they over charged me until I was already driving over the Buckman Bridge. They read my review on Living Social and contacted me saying maybe I am not aware of their prices there and their record shows I got a French tip. Correction, maybe your workers lack communication skills between each other, and the customer. That $5.00 so called French tip that was put on their record was to make up for the eyebrow waxing that I wasnt going to get, so either way I would have been, and was still overcharged $5.00. Yes mistakes happen, but dont insult my intelligence like I wasnt aware of what I was told. Who ever did the booking should of stated $5.00 French tip instead of eyebrow waxing, and upon my arrival the person taking care of me should have checked the books, and simply asked me if I was still going that route today, or doing something else like every other salon I have been to. They did catch the mistake, and put me down for a complimentary French tip for my next visit, but whos to say I even want to go back after that experience.

I am honestly surprised by all of the positive reviews I am reading and wondering why I am the only one who has had HORRIBLE exeriences here!! I should have learned my lesson in their very POOR customer service several years back after my botched waxing days before my wedding (that I had to go to Taylor Lane to actually finish the job!) But I figured I would give them another chance and get my hair cut/styled there a couple days ago. My hair goes down to my butt and I was very nervous about this change! Not only was I kept waiting for an hour while no one could contact this stylist, I was then bounced between other stylists, until the original stylist I was placed with showed up. All I wanted were long layers. I have had this style several times before and even had a photo of exactly what I was looking for in my cut. Not only was my hair flat ironed completely straight with an old flat iron that reeked of burnt hair (which I now realize was to cover how HORRIBLE of a cut I had done to me) but these layers are completely uneven to the point where people cant even lie and pretend it looks good! I blew out my hair just now and my husband measured. I have SIX INCHES that separate the top "layers" from the bottom of my hair. Which also is about a half inch uneven from the right side of my head to the left! There is no gradual increase in length! I was wanting to keep as much length as possible, and now I have to go elsewhere to have it fixed and will have to loose at LEAST another 4-5 to fix this horribly obvious haircut! I will never ever EVER return to this salon!

I went to for your eyes only to get permanent makeup. I got my eyebrows done because I was so tired of having to draw them. I showed her a picture of what I was going for. When I left, I was like ok. Maybe theyll look better once it heals. No such luck! And they were and still are painfully thin! Nothing like what I asked for and paid a lot of money to get! Then I did the unthinkable. I went back to tell her I wasnt happy at all and she said, no no dont worry. Sometimes some people just need a touch up. (mind you, this was around 4-6 weeks later). So I trusted what she said, what did I know? She was supposed to know what she was doing, especially since its permanent! Of course I had to pay an additional $125 for the touch up. By that point, I had invested nearly $500 total! Now my eyebrows look worse than they did before my first visit! I could have continued drawing them everyday for free and not feel so horrible! Im teased about how awful my "eyebrows" look. I just wanted beautiful eyebrows. I put my trust into the tall short haired blonde that does permanent makeup there. I still regret it to this day. They got a lot of money out of me to make me onto a walking joke.
