After purchasing a new home several months ago, we discovered a roof leak. The leak manifested in the laundry room and originated in a valley higher on the roof. After getting quotes from several companies, we decided to go with our friends at Collis Roofing. Other contractors suggested expensive repairs, various types of replacement roofs, and many stated that they were "too busy to do the job for months." The decision we made to replace the roof was not based on price alone. In fact, Collis wasnt the low bidder. The decision to go with Collis Roofing was based on our knowledge of the company and the recommendation of several contractors who build quality homes throughout Central Florida. Collis completed the permitting process and started the job sooner than they had promised. They completed the job in three days as promised, and the quality of their work was outstanding. They communicated well throughout the project, and our property looked as if they hadnt been there when the job was completed. I even mistakenly had them come out to look at gutter straps on our screened area because of concerns expressed by another contractor while providing an estimate on a new screen enclosure. The Collis representative took photos from the roof that revealed that the gutter straps were installed correctly. In summary, Collis Roofing is among a handful of companies in a variety of industries with which I am comfortable doing business with and recommending wholeheartedly. From initial contact through job completion and beyond, Collis treated us the way we would want to be treated. We give them our highest rating and commend them to you wholeheartedly.

I obtained competitive bids for a complete concrete tile roof replacement which included removal of all existing tile, underlayment, roof vents, eaves trim, gutters, downpipes and a solar panel. Although Collis was not the low bid, their cost breakdown was clear and complete and included some room for discussion and negotiation. The Collis representative I dealt with directly was Greg Dickey. Greg, together with Jack his supervisor and all his crews were extremely considerate and communicative throughout the whole process, they kept us fully informed about progress and schedule which all helped for us to arrange our lives around their work. Tear off and repairs went without a hitch and, even though this project was done in the peak Florida rain season, every care was taken to ensure that the roof was closed in at the end of each workday. Clean up each day was exceptional for this kind of disruptive project. Collis also went to great lengths to protect our paved driveway which was subjected to placement of large and very heavy dumpsters, as well as heavy lifting equipment. At the end of it all, our driveway suffered only two damaged concrete paving blocks which will be easily replaced. I spent my whole career of more than 45 years in the construction industry and have witnessed all levels from poor to good quality construction. I would have no problem giving my highest recommendation to anyone about the quality of Collis work, and I would most certainly hire them again.

Currently we have asked Collins Roofing to come to our house and look at their workmanship and tell us what they see. We have pictures of holes in the plywood that is laid when the roof is installed. Rather than fix the plywood, they laid down the black wrap and shingles overtop the hole thinking it would never be seen. We have three vents in the roof that were installed and they have slowly leaked water until it gets noticed with a big rainfall. These vents have caused my electricity to short out in one bathroom. I am probably lucky the house has not caught fire. My wife has called the warranty department at Collins Roofing and was told by having someone place tarps on the roof to prevent further damage, we have voided our warranty. This same warranty department says that the house would have never passed inspection if there was anything wrong with their roof. I am not the only homeowner in my neighborhood that has had thus problem. Five other homeowners, with the same model house have the same problems. We have contact J. Douglas Lanier, CPRC , CEO, Collis Roofing. We are hoping he is a man of integrity and will stand behind his companies workmanship. This roof needs to be repaired properly along with all the damage that has been caused because of the roof. I will certainly write a follow-up review to inform everyone how this turns out. very disrespectful employees, the community has signs that says no large or overweight vehicles, what do they do bring in a 18 wheeler that blocks half the road and there equipment that blocks the other half of the road you ask them to move it and they ignore you,, they antagonize your animals, they stare at your neighbors instead of working the move like snails when your paying thousands of dollars on a 300,000 dollar home to repair the roof they caused me to miss a business appointment with google and Microsoft because i could not leave due to there equipment if only the company was held responsible for reimbursement for missing meetings for employment they would be broke since i doubt they could pay 130$ and hour for the employees that could not go to work and had to call out as we are developers in the technology field. were paying thousands of dollars for a roofing job that only takes 3 days max it takes them almost 2 weeks to finish how lazy are your employees. the employees sit on sidewalks and dont move for residents checking mail and a strong Oder of marijuana coming from employees. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE HARASSED AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE YOUR ROOF DONE PROPERLY AND EFFICIENTLY HIRE ANOTHER COMPANY. THESE EMPLOYEES WILL TALK BACK WHEN THE CUSTOMER IS RIGHT. AND THEN I OVER HEAR THEM CALLING THE RESIDENT NAMES THINKING WHERE DEAF WHEN WERE NOT.

I worked with Phillip in regards to a sliding glass door that I wanted converted to french doors. I had already worked with NewSouth Window, ordered a door for almost twice as much and when it came in it was completely wrong! I was glad that it was wrong too because it looked so industrial! Anyways, NewSouth Windows doesnt even make the door which I wanted (and ordered) so they accepted my return. I contacted Phillip the same day as the return was final and he was nothing but amazing. He talked to me like a real person, he gave me honest answers, and he made suggestions as to what I may or may not like best. I am pretty indecisive and I was a little weary because of my previous experience, but he made me feel comfortable and that I could trust him. He was patient with me, and he provided me with the BEST set of french doors possible. They are exactly what I wanted and they are gorgeous and well made. Also, since he saved me money because the doors were half the cost of the original door, I ordered a new craftsman style front door and wow! Its beautiful! We did have a little hiccup along the way regarding the measurement of my french doors, but Phillip was on it right away. He fixed the problem and made it right in a blink of an eye. Great customer service! I would recommend Phillip and Collis Roofing to anyone.

Because we are retired the decision to hire a company to replace our roof was critical. Dave Perrault from Collis Roofing helped make our decision very easy. He presented the options available to reroof and together we found the right roof color and warranty plans to go with our budget. He also took it upon himself to help us file on our 25-year warranty on the existing roof to help defray some of the expense. Dave also referred us to a company for a wind mitigation inspection to help with our homeowners insurance. His easy manner, customer first attitude and extensive knowledge on roofing was one of the major deciding factors in going with Collis Roofing. The process took three days and every day someone from Collis Roofing contacted us to make sure everything was being done to our satisfaction. The roof is beautiful and we have had three neighbors go with Collis Roofing for their roofing needs after we described our re roofing experiences with Collis. We highly recommend Collis Roofing to anyone who needs either repairs or a roof replacement.
