After speaking to the office and arranging to rent the unit when I arrived with all of my stuff is when they informed me that I would need to buy their "special" lock costing an additional $16.00. This seemed excessive especially since I had my own lock that would have fit and there were units on either side of me using a regular lock. But I was informed that they were changing their policy and some people were grandfathered in. Then I had to wait 30+ minutes for the manager to write up a receipt I could use for reimbursement. She was unable to explain the charges to me and had to call up the higher up manager to explain. I ended up offering to come back to pick up the receipt because I couldnt wait any longer. Since I first moved in I have only been able to contact the property once by phone. They rarely answer the phone and it just goes to their answering service. The units are nice but the staff is pretty bad and seems unable to perform the duties of their jobs on most occasions. I would not have rented here if I knew all of this; I was kind of in a bind because once I saw how things were I already had my property scheduled to be shipped here.

Public Storage is so much more than a place to just keep your stuff that you dont have room for... If you think about it, they are safeguarding great memories and keeping not so great memories out of sight and out of mind. And while there might not be a huge physical difference between one storage place and the next, this particular Public Storage branch has employees that are, for lack of a better word, BETTER than most youll run into in any business you patronize. They are pleasant, helpful, and do their job with smile on their faces. There is no better reason to choose a place to do business than choosing the people who work there, and here you find quality people who work hard to provide quality service. Edith, the store manager, elevates this place above being just another place to dump your stuff!

I have rented a few spaces at this location for many years now and Ive never had an issue with anything. Its always nice and cool inside and the nice lady inside the office, Edith, has always delivered EXCELLENT customer service, every time! If Ive called & left a message while shes out on the property, Edith has ALWAYS gotten back with me promptly and answered all of my questions! Shes always very pleasant and has a smile when Ive seen her. The property is always spicnspan and very clean. The only thing I dont like is there are no dumpsters or trash cans anywhere...they need a few put on the property....other than that, I highly recommend this property to store your personal belongings! Thanks Edith for the excellent customer service!

I have now been a customer of the Maitland Public Storage location from April 2013 to date. The Property Manager, Ms. Edith demonstrates the most courteous and professional customer service I could ask for or expect. I would recommend this location to any person simply based off the level of service that Ms Edith provides alone. I cant say one negative word about this location and for that reason she makes my decision to keep my unit all the better. Explaining fees, the impact of late fees and always speaking to customers with her pleasant tone should be qualities that district and regional management should reward and acknowledge. Edith and Michelle are a delight, helpful and knowledgeable pair that greets you at the door of the Public Storage business. Moving to relocate, storing family stuff that needs attention- for many is a difficult task. Edith and Michelle let you know from the first minute that you are in the right place. They are warm and genuine, remembering you from previous visits. They know the business and are the best. The facility is clean, the lights well maintained and bright. This is my first experience with a storage unit, and I was delighted to meet Edith and learn that she is responsible for this location. She was about to walk the property when I knocked on the window, and she promptly turned the "Back in x minutes" sign around to answer my questions. She knew her inventory and efficiently explained choices and costs. She walked me to the unit available, and pointed out a good alternate route as well. She answered all my questions, gave me wise counsel on box sizes, representing the company well and professionally. Its clear she takes pride in her work and thrives on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.

Edith is outstanding!..always friendly, takes pride in making sure her customers needs / concerns are taken care of, the facility is kept very clean, & keeps a close eye on what is going on in & around the area. We often see her walking through when we are in our storage unit, which we appreciate, as it feels safe/secure..and, shes always a pleasure to talk with. She has been part of Maitland Public Storage for most of the time we have been there ( since 2009) ; they ( & we, too ) are most fortunate to have her working for their company...she is an excellent employee , with wonderful customer service skills!

My husband and I moved my "stuff" into an air-conditioned unit in order to stage our home to sell -- i.e. get rid of the clutter. I had boxes galore after my parents death. From the beginning, Edith and Michelle have given great customer service. They made a difficult situation so much easier by being understanding and helpful at all times. After EIGHT years, I finally took the time to go through all the papers and memorabilia -- and have vacated the unit. They even made the departure easy! I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone who wants a super clean place with very friendly personnel.

However, my experience through the initial tour, space selection, securing the space, and sign up has been excellent.
