Rude, rude, RUDE!! Im giving it a 2 stars in behalf of those teachers that actually make the gym slightly better. Let me start by saying my boyfriend has had a membership here for a few months (considering cancelling soon) now and they sent him a 5day pass so he decided to take me to some of the classes they offer. I went with the 5 day pass on a Tuesday and they received me like I wasnt as good as everyone else. They gave me a paper to fill out and barely looked me in the eyes. Everyone was rude and as soon as they heard I wasnt a member yet they bombarded us BS dead and wasting our time, like those annnoying sales people on retail stores. I had to tell the lady that I wasnt interested severa times until I walked away from her so we could just be left alone and make it to the class that night on time. I went again latter that week and they asked for my name and I went in fine. But then I went this week and they started saying how my 5days were expired. And how it was supposed to be 5 days in a roll??? I was NEVER told it was 5 days in a roll, nor did anyone tell me the second time I went that I had only that week. When I went for the 3rd time they called a manager to speak to us like we were criminals. This man was taking to my boyfriend so firmly I felt like I was in the military. And then started telling us how I could be added to his membership for a ridiculous amount of money. I suggest you save your money and go to another gym like LA fitness. The classes here are fun but thats about it not worth the money. I went to an abs class and they continued to say how we would be in pain after and I didnt even feel it 2 days after. It feels like its targeted for young people or for people that are not really fit at all. Which is a shame. If you are looking to loose weight or tone up, you can pay that same amount of money or even less to a trainer at La fitness that even has a pool, sauna and everything you can ever need!! Definitely not and I repeat NOT worth the money.

I signed up on May 17 of 2016 firstly I was referred by a friend who signed up in March before me who gave me the information of the sales rep named Jason. I contacted Jason we scheduled a date I went in got greeted by a Jason come to find out it was another person also named Jason who took his partners commission. I know this because i got contacted later that day by the Jason i had called initially asking me if i was still going. Anyway was told the gym would open by the end of the month as my friend was advised of the same. Its September 13 and still nothing. Was advised to take advantage of the last minute pre sale pricing as everyone is being told of the same since the day I signed up and before. When I finally went to cancel I was told that I should wait that I waited this long why not wait the last little bit and try out the DUT class being offered to (non members) yes i paid a full year in advance of gym dues for non member class, and members alike if you on the Instagram its a class you can take at any gym or in the comfort of your own home. I was told it was a class like non other. I was told that it was unforseen of them to know they werent going to open due to fire hazard restrictions and permits that was the excuse told to me multiple times. I axcept that I made a mistake thinking this was going to be the mma gym for me since its so close. I rather pay a bit more for a quality mma gym and drive a few miles extra. If its MMA and professionalism youre looking for go elsewhere South Florida offers many amazing MMA gyms. If its Zumba fitness classes branded with the name UFC and pay more what youre looking this is the gym for you.

My wife and I cancelled our membership because we are moving soon. We cancelled back in July and have our bank statements to show that we were there and that we paid the cancelation fee (ridiculous). My wife gets charged this week for her monthly fee. They never canceled her membership. So we go in today and tell them the situation and the manager asks us to see the receipt for the cancelation. Why on earth would I keep that? Our membership is canceled because they are competent people, right? No. Wrong. They arent competent. Then the manager tells us that "its a two way street." Uh, excuse me? Im not the gym. If I mess up, people dont get charged $63 for a membership that was canceled. I cant believe we were blamed for their mistake. Who blames the customer when its clearly that businesses fault? Am I missing something? We even have it in our bank statement showing that we came in the same day and canceled and thats not good enough for them to believe us? She had money stolen out of her account because of the people who work the front desk cant do their job. Then they said that they throw out paperwork every few weeks. Wait, hold on. You throw out cancelation documents from your customers? Thats a joke, just like their business practice. We are already in the process of contacting the Better Business Bureau if they cant resolve this civilly. After reading yelp, google, and Facebook reviews, I see that we arent the only ones. The girl who handled our paperwork should be fired and the "manager" should be embarrassed to have treated us like idiots.

When I first came to the UFC GYM I thought it was gonna be filled with people who are looking to just hang out and not actually work out. Reminiscent of the Bally Total Fitness days. However, the more I work out here, the more I see that people really are into getting their health on. Ive noticed that people are focused on their workouts and really dont have the time to lollygag. With a variety of classes like MMA, BJJ, Boxing, Kickboxing, Yoga (and more) there just isnt any time to hang out. One of my favorite things about this gym is its workout equipment. Its really top notch. Im seeing known brands like Nautilus and Star Track which make some pretty heavy duty equipment that is going to last for a long time. The free weight section is pretty legit and they have dumbbells that go as high as 120lbs. Which is more than plenty for me. There are 4 sections that are designed for Olympic type movements like squats, deadlifts, snatches, etc. This area has wood floors that are great for stability. Especially when youre throwing on the heavyweights. Some people hate bumper plate, I personally like them and love the fact that they are using a reputable brand like Elieko. So far Ive only taken three classes which are boxing and the UFC ultimate training class. They are both no joke, you WILL leave exhausted and in a pool of sweat. The instructors push you to the limit and keep you motivated. Im working on my conditioning and endurance training and I think Ill be at my fighting weight sooner than later.
