I dont like to give bad reviews and the person that did my hair was friendly and attentive however given he is meant to be an expert in his profession I would have expected more in terms of the end result. The hair dresser is there to guide the client in terms of what is reasonable to do based on the current hair condition ultimately I came out with blue in the bleach in my hair from the toner and orange on my roots which was clearly blatant and was never offered to be fixed whether it was in that session or another session. During the 3 hours I was put under a steam heating system which I had to ultimately pull off given it was burning my forehead. As mentioned I am not the first person to ever give bad reviews and I understand that sometimes clients have requests that might not be suitable for their hair and perhaps I could have been more assertive in terms of my dislike for my hair however I did not enjoy the experience at all. I felt my hair was obviously pretty ridiculous and was disappointed at the lack of effort in rectifying what was blatantly wrong with the colour. I have had to spend an additional $250 to get my hair fixed at another salon. Sorry have to be honest! I would not reccomend!

Lets face it, in Miami South Beach, things are over-proced, tend to be cheap and covered by mediocre hospitality. I have seen prices for the same services McAllister Spa offers be easily double at other places here on the beach. Massages can go for as much as $200 for 1 hour and mani-pedis in the $70-$100 range. I came in for waxing my eye brows and was shocked at how inexpensive the service was, but was overly pleased by the results. I also received a deep tissue message (more therapeutic than luxuriously relaxing) to help with knots in my body, which have a huge impact on how one feels and functions. I received my massage from Allegra who made me feel very welcomed and I could tell she knew what she was doing. She can see with her hands where my body needed it most. I am a yoga instructor and I am very bodily aware of where my body is tight and sensitive and all the places I am tight, Allegra conditioned and treated them. I will for sure be back again for my waxing and massage. All together my trip costed me $114 and with tipping (as I alaways do for those who service and take care of me) I spent $129. Thank you McAllister for offering reasonable and exceptional services.

It was quick and effortless to book an appointment. However, I was appalled at the poor and impersonal service: upon arrival, I was given a glass of water which was a nice touch, but then had to wait 20 min for my nail technician. I had acrylics and gels that needed to be removed and then asked for a normal manicure. What bothered me, apart from my nail techs extremely impersonal, condescending and rude attitude, was the carelessness with which she handled my nails: I continuously cried out in pain because she slipped and buffed the skin surrounding my nails, which was met with cold indifference. I was then asked to dry what I thought was a base coat, after which she never came back; I had to go look for her and ask if everything was finished, to which she replied that she had told me everything was done... Absolutely unbelievable. I was also left with old spots from my previous gel colour, which had not been removed properly. I might just have been unlucky with my nail tech, but the utter lack of communication and the spas apparent complete disregard for their customers does not make this a place for anyone looking for a high-quality service. Avoid at all cost.

Hands down the best salon on the beach. I get my haircut there every week by my amazing barber named Eddy. This kid has skills and I am more than happy to hand over my money for the sick hair cuts he gives me. Every time I get a haircut from him I get compliments when I go out. They moved salons and I make the trip to see him still every week even its just for a color or tape up. He also cuts and colors my girls and her friends hair. Every time it comes out amazing. He takes his time and makes sure that you are extremely happy with the haircut before you leave. He will listen to what you want and in 30 mins its exactly what you pictured. He is one of those barbers/stylist that you will see in hair magazines in the very near future. Make sure you make an appointment a head of time because he gets busy on somedays. This kid is in high demand and will continue to be. Go see him and get a haircut and or color. You can curse me out on this if I steered you wrong. Great guy to add to everything. Very respectful and funny. Great experience in the salon every time. They also have tanning/ massage/ and mani/pedicures for you ladys who want some relaxation.

My fiance and I spent this past weekend at our favorite spot here in Miami Beach. I happened to stumble upon McAllister Salon while on my morning walk. We called on a Sunday morning without any appointments and wanted to book a full day of services for both of us. I am absolutely floored with theiron ability to accommodate us quickly and seamlessly! Their whole staff is absolutely fabulous! Super friendly and knowledgeable on all the products they offered. Billy, the owner, definitely went above and beyond to please both my fiance and I to the fullest! They stayed open late to finish our services. Extremely affordable prices but the best part of this spa is the level of professionalism in everything they do. We felt and feel at home here and we will NEVER go anywhere else! Im from outside of Manhattan, in Bergen County, NJ and Ive been to dozens of high end salons and spas. They dont even compare to McAllister Spa! This place blows them all away. We came in haggered and in need of beautification. We both left floating on cloud 9!! Best Spa ever and I would rate them 10 stars if I could!

I highly recommend this spa. Although I must admit, I use it as a local salon more than anything else. I love how friendly and real the staff is. Pretentious salons and spas are just not my style. I want fabulous service with a smile and I get exactly that at Mcallister Spa. Both Marlene and Susan are great nail techs!! I adore them both and thank them for the A+ job at helping me grow and maintain gorgeous nails on my hands and feet!!! Booking an appointment is simple and they actually run on time (which seems to be forboden on Sobe in most salons/spas). Hernan (by appointment only), Jeff (artist in so many ways) and Marc (a long time staple on Miami Beach- good reason) all make everyone walk out of the place looking hot and with even more confidence than they did when they arrived. Overall, Mcallister is a breathe of fresh air. The place is super clean and the staff warm up the place with respect for one another, their craft and the clientele. What are you waiting for? Make an appointment to see for yourself.

My fabulous colorist, Lara B, left Dallas for Miami a month ago and Im still in mourning. :/ My hair is very fine so Im ultra particular about who colors it, especially since Ive had it burned once before. I appreciate the care she takes when coloring my hair, but even more than that, I love that she makes my hair color look beautiful!! My green eyes really "pop" when she adds the different highlights. Lara also put extensions in my hair a couple of months ago and I seriously look 10 years younger! This is my first experience with extensions and Im hooked!! I havent experienced any of the negative issues some of my friends have with their extensions. They should have gone to Lara B. Ill be flying to Miami several times a year now because I dont trust anyone else with my color and extensions. Now Im a little glad she left Dallas for Miami. :-)
