Its been a few years ( about 12 ) since I had my septic pumped and so as many of you, I went online and started combing through reviews. Theres alot of negative reviews out there and so while reading through some of the companies I remembered off the top of my head like Brownies I see Lapin and their stellar reviews. I called a few numbers to try and get some ball park estimates and Lapin was actually the only company that answered. The phone operator was pretty easy going, got straight to the point and arranged a early morning appointment for a few days later ( today Thursday the 12th ). This morning starts off great, a truck pulls in around 8:30 in the morning and the driver is outside of our house already looking for the access lid to the septic. Joshs professionalism was great, he got to work, dumped all of the soil onto a tarp to keep it all organized and even though I got to witness the concrete lid cracking off a large corner while he chipped away at it with a large crow bar to loosen it up so it would open, its no big deal I guess, it happens. I paid my fee and off Josh went, I was happy with the transaction, and all was well. Until I get into my truck to drive off and while coming out of my driveway I notice someone hit the base of a mailbox post I set up out of cinder blocks. And it looked like a large truck with two tires did it on the way in. Ive got video surveillance all around the house with stickers notifying people of this fact. So why not just say something ? Now I understand why they have you sign off on your receipt so quick stating your happy with all of their services: "Lapin Services is not liable for any damage, and you as a customer are happy with the repairs they did make to any damage caused". Its not that big of a deal, the mailbox wasnt finished, there was no stone work on there, but now Im second guessing what I paid for and how complete the work was done. I dont like to hover and eyeball people as they work so I take them for their word, but if they cant be up front with you about something Im sure they know they damaged, then what can you trust about them ? You dont hit block-work and not notice, even in a large truck. Ive been pulling in and out of my driveway for 10 years with a dually, 20 trailers, 16 trailers, and have received all kinds of deliveries from UPS/FedEx/Home Depot/Lowes and Ive never received any damage. So little things become big things in your head..If they cant let you know about little damage they do and be up front, what about big damage ? The price was reasonable, the service was great, but I dont trust them to invite them to my property again. At the very least if you do hire them walk your property looking for damage before signing any paperwork. Update: I had a supervisor for Lapin Services show up at my home yesterday ( 1/31/17 ) and was surprised that they even pay attention to these reviews. He came out to look at what now is just a pile of blocks and at the very least apologize. Theres not much they can do to fix the damage to my halfway completed project, but if you look around on other reviews you see companies making excuses rather than just being upfront. So Ill give them and their driver the benefit of the doubt and say that they were responsive to a complaint in a very professional manner. Ill also adjust the 3 star to 5 star rating.

So, pardon my gushing, but I am in the midst a full fledged grateful glow to Lapin and their staff. This story starts with me calling them (in an admittadly frustrated huff) over a problem I was having with a drain. They had worked on the drain years before, so I wasnt expecting ANY help from them, I just wanted to know the size of the materials they used so I could make an attempt at fixing the problem on my own. Not only did they show general concern for me and my situation, they worked with me to problem solve and sent someone to the property within hours of my call to look at the problem I was having and.... drumroll please... fix it for me. Yes people, I said FIX it for me, no charge, no hassle.... they just showed up and TOOK CARE OF IT. That, my friends, is beyond my expectations and has left me somewhat speechless. All I can say is that if you need plumbling services, this is the place to go, these are the people to talk to. they will stand by their work, they will treat you like a human and they will go out of their way to make sure you happy - - even when there is nothing in it for them except the knowledge that they have done a great job. Kudos to everyone at Lapin (especially Michael!) who reinstilled in me a belief in the craftsman who care about his company and his work as an expression of his own values.

We called Lapin Services for a quote to pump out of septic tank, we also called others. There customer service is the reason I called them back Friday, I was in no rush it was just a preventive measure in good timing. I had an appt. for Monday 8-10am the driver Daniel R. called 25 min before to let me know he was on his way which I thought was awesome. Daniel showed up around 8am Monday introduced himself and got to work, only to find out the company that pumped our tank last time sealed the lid permanently….. Wow what a way to start a Monday right. Well Daniel continued to chip away and chip away for about 45 minutes until he was able to remove the lid, (this should have only taken maybe 5 min to complete) all this time working up quite a sweat, BUT get this NEVER complained about it only continued to finish his job. I have great respect for Daniel as a hard working person and his professionalism towards his company and work really shows. Go figure someone with probably the dirtiest job around can still represent his company with high standards and still give 100%, If we only had 10 million more like Daniel. I would and will highly recommend Lapin Services, Thanks again Daniel R.

We have been using Lapin Septic for several years now and will continue to use their services. Why? Three words... Exceptional Customer Service. I was out of town on business travel when our septic was clogged. This happens to me every 14 months or so. I just clear it myself but like I said, I was out of town. I advised my wife to call Lapin to pump the septic since it was due anyway, and take care of the clog. I asked her to instruct the tech on what I do to clear it. Anyway, Lapin came out and serviced the septic. In short, there was a charge I was surprised to see --which was likely a miscommunication between the tech and my wife or myself and my wife -- regardless. Daniel from Lapin was genuinely concerned with my dissatisfaction and resolved the issue. They truly care about their customers. This is the reason I recommended them to our homeowners board as a top vendor for septic servicing. Trust them.
