We hired Nick and Family Movers LLC for a long distance move from Orlando, FL to Philadelphia. Nick came to our property and assessed what we had and gave us a quote and we agreed to a flat rate amount. We had two bedrooms sets that are wall-units with multiple pieces. We asked him multiple times if he would be able to have his men take it apart in Orlando and re-assemble in the new home. He stated he would do some research on the beds and let me know as one of them was a murphy bed (folds into wall). Later, he stated it would not be an issue. We confirmed all of the conditions of the move and what would be asked of them, Nick agreed via email. Day of the move the men came and the driver started taking the beds apart. There were no issues (except for damaging my staircase when bringing the furniture down). When the murphy bed was taken apart the driver told me at the new location he would not be able to put it back like it was because of liability issues as the unit was screwed into the floor and wall to secure it. A quick call to Nick and he stated if my family in Pennsylvania signed a form giving them the okay they would put it back together there. The bed would not function properly without being secured in the manner as it should be. The pick up was on a Thursday and the drop off was on a Sunday. The movers came and dropped everything off but did not put any of the bedroom sets together ( I have pictures of how they should look and how they left it for us). They had a flight at 5pm same day and they did not want to be bothered with it as they already had their check. I called Nick and he said there was a liability issue and that’s why they couldn’t do it. But, there was no liability issue when he evaluated and quoted us pricing. In addition, I asked him several times if his men were capable and he stated yes. The driver told my family member when he was leaving that Nick hired someone in Philadelphia who would be coming out. It took 2 days for Nick to respond and he said he found someone online and it would take only (2) hours for the guy to put the bed together and he would only give me $75.00 for those 2 hours and I had to sign a release of all liability of his company. His driver as stated by my family member came with alcohol on his breath. I told Nick that the tech he hired would need around 3 hours and Nick agreed. But, I was still In Florida and had yet to check my items. Nick told me your family member signed that everything was delivered in condition and he has no liability. His contract states items were delivered in “apparent” good condition, but I had yet to examine my two TVs, multiple vases and dishware, ect. His men left trash everywhere in the house which my mother had to clean up. Regardless, he stated (and in email) to me his men would assemble the beds and they did not. They left the boxes and left because they had a flight to catch. He only offered me $75.00 and I declined because of the form he wanted me to sign. The guy he found online came out and was not capable to complete the job within the time frame and was only able to assemble (1) Bed. Clearly Nick talks a good one until he gets your money and then he doesn’t feel that he needs to finish the job in full. I paid Nick $4,000.00 and he did not complete the job as promised. Now, my mother and grandmother are in a home with no official beds. If he was honest from the beginning I could have arranged something with the beds ahead of time. When I was looking for companies everyone was honest and stated they could not and did not know how to dis-assemble and assemble the beds. Per my last phone call with him, he said “not my problem!” Unfortunately, I trusted his “high” ratings and put faith in this company and was let down.

Would highly recommend Family Movers Express of Oviedo, FL. Their pricing guide was the fairest by far including just two elements: labor-by-the-hour at both ends for loading/unloading with one flat fee for the 356 mile road trip added in. No arbitrary amounts, mysterious formulas, or hidden charges and they did an outstanding job! Despite a delay due to needing roadside service, the 2-man crew persevered and finished the job as expeditiously as possible. They remained calm, patient, and friendly throughout. We received a thorough online application to complete, a review phone call the day before, and a follow-up call the day after.

Never ever hire them as we had an Absolutely horrible experience. At one stage I started thinking that how long will it take for this worst experience to be over. Omar the supervisor was such a strong headed person that he wont listen to anyone. They arrived 2 hours late than the committed time, No one was answering the phone as we wanted to follow up on delayed arrival. Once they arrived they came with some personal stuff already loaded on the truck there fore our goods could not be fitted on the truck seems that they want to make more money by making two rounds. When asked the owner he was totally unapologetic

This crew tossed one of my drawers, stole $300 and after dropping a dresser out if the truck (I was 5 feet from them and watched the whole thing) they claimed it was do to the packing company. Scratched, chipped and dingged up a bunch of walls, and made a mess of the whole move. We cant even access rooms to unpack because they just dropped boxes at their feet. We have moved across country multiple times and never had a bad experience until family movers. I can forgive the accidents but the theft is inexcusable. This is Not an honest moving crew!!!!

My crew was Alex Robert and Tom . They move me today locally from Oviedo to Davenport , they worked nonstop without a break , they were polite prompt very nice and made the move less stressful . I have already recommended to my realtor and the neighbors and I will be using them again in six months when we buy house

I had Family Movers Express move my parents from Oviedo to Lake Mary. I was told they were very polite , showed up on time and did a great jom. They even set up the sleep number bed that my parents have. Most movers do not do that. I m happy with the service and recommended them to my Realtor

I spoke to Jen from the office 2 days ago. We had a spinet piano which is what I was worried about. Rick and Alex were my movers, put iT a dolly and moved it without a problem. I m glad it s over.
