I was moving from East Palatka to St. Augustine, a 25 mile, 40 minute drive. I needed help loading the truck so searched for a Palatka moving company. Minorcan came up with a Palatka address and phone number so I called and explained that I needed two hours of labor to load. I was told they would send two men and the hourly rate would be $95. Great! Thats exactly my budget. They showed up promptly at 8:30 and produced paperwork showing a start time of 7:30. When I asked about this, I was told that there was an hour drive time. I asked where they drove from and was told St. Augustine. I explained that I called a Palatka number and thought I was hiring local movers, to which they responded that there is no Palatka location. Talk about deception! I was never told that the two hours I was requesting would also include travel time. So I said, ok, you have an hour so load all the heavy things. The response was, well we have an hour drive back too. So I paid $190 to have them drive back and forth (mind you, its a 40 minute drive...max!). They loaded 6 items into the truck, most of which I could have carried myself. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!

We used Minorcan for an in-state residential move. The owner came to give us a quote, and was quick and thorough. He gave us tips on how to pack our stuff in such a way that made it easy to unpack and to protect it in the move. We had a pretty tight time frame for our move, and they were able to do it, when others could not. In fact, when they had some time free up in their schedule, they called us to see if it would help us to load and move early. We ended up moving in our new home 2 days earlier than our originally planned date. A crew of 7 loaded our house in St Augustine. They were efficient, carefully loading our things in 3 hours. They were kind to our 3 young children and to our friends who were there helping us. The next day a crew of 3 met us at our new home and had everything unloaded and set up in 4 hours. Even when I changed my mind about the placement of furniture, I didnt get any "bad attitudes" from the men moving us. I cannot say enough good things about this company.

We found out about Minorcan Movers because they sent us a hand addressed postcard. After calling a few different moving companies we decided to go with them because they are local. The other two companies we called billed out at $65.00 per hour $20.00 a hour less than Minorcan but again wanted to go with a St Augustine based company. Our move was scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 and they called to confirm on Friday afternoon. 8:30 on Saturday came and went and no movers to be seen. I called them at 9:20 and the owner informed me they would not be able to help us out. I asked him if he thought a phone call would have been appropriate and he said he didnt have my number even though they called me the day before. This company might have been in business since 1977 but I can only assume by different management because the guy I spoke to was unapologetic, unorganized and unprofessional.

Minorcan Moving & Storage helped us move my mom from Ocala to Jacksonville this past weekend. My first experience with the company was speaking with Samantha. She was professional, courteous and caring, she sent me the estimate same day and she followed up with me several times up to an including the day before the actual move. Samantha...thank you!!!! We were fortunate enough to have Curtis, Aaron and Anthony as our movers. We were VERY THANKFUL for their hard work, expertise, experience and professionalism. We dont know what we would have done without them. All three of them came in, started immediately, did what needed to be done in record time, all while being personable and caring for our furniture and personal items. Please know if asked for a recommendation, Minorcan Moving & Storage will absolutely be the name I will pass along.

We have used Minorcan Moving and Storage many times over the past 20+ years for both personal and business moving and receiving. I would not even consider another company!!! Robbie, the owner of the Minorcan is one of the hardest working guys I know. Honest, efficient, trustworthy, and efficient. I am now is the process of moving my retail gift shop to a new location, and I went straight to Robbie at Minorcan to have him figure out how in the world to move over 20,000 items, plus the big display pieces without me having a major coronary during the process. After my meeting with Robbie today, I am now so much less stressed about how in the heck to make this move, AND it not cost me a fortune!!! Thank you Minorcan.....

As an Interior Designer, I have a lot of furniture and accessories and move often. After using quite a few moving companies in the North Florida area, Minorcan is the BEST. They have moved me three times and I have yet to find a more conscientious or professional company. If you move a lot, you come to expect at least some minor damage that comes along with breaking down a household and transporting it and then setting it back up again. I have yet to find even the smallest nick or scratch, I will never use anyone else.

Used them last year but had no one to compare them to until now. They were expensive compared to other companies in the area with nothing outstanding about the service they provided. Brought 2 guys, took forever. Seemed very picky about what they were willing to move which left me with a lot of items to haul myself. Went with Flagler movers to move into the home we just closed on last month. HALF THE PRICE with better service, brought 3 guys, moved very quickly, and friendly.

Claimed experts in antiques...what was not damaged was stolen...out of 87 pieces of furniture, 19 stolen and 61 seriously damaged. WORST moving experience Ever. Example antique 4 poster bed, in perfect condition, broken into 7 pieces, bed made of solid cherry by deceased family member...comment by movers..."what do you expect, it was old". All total loss or repair costs over 70,000.00 wanted to pay us 34.00 and change...DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE CROOKS!

We chose Minorcan for their local presence in NE Fla, and because of the attention to detail from first quote, to final followup. They moved our home filled with our prized possessions from 40 years of marriage. From the owner to the driver, they were polite, professional and cared FIRST about our satisfaction.
