Recommended replacement of parts that were not broken!!! Heres the story: When I took my car to Just Brakes a couple weeks ago they performed an initial inspection where they told me I need a brake flush and my right front caliper rebuilt. I declined the additional repairs since they brought the bill to over $500. After the job was done I drove home but noticed the brakes still squeaked. I decided to give it some time to ensure they didnt need to "break in" but after a week the noise worsened. I took my car back and they told me the only thing that would fix the squeaking is new or rebuilt calipers. I also noticed that the paperwork now indicated both calipers needed to be replaced. I explained that I spent some time as a mechanic my self and knew a little bit about brakes. He laughed at me! After a few minutes of debating the legitimacy of their recommended solution I took my car to Nissan where they said the calipers were fine. I also took it to another mechanic shop who said the same thing; the caliper are fine but the pads are crap. I replaced the pads myself with a $50 pair from NAPA and the squeaking went away immediately. Now, Just Brakes refuses to give me my money back and they still defend their assessment that the calipers are bad. Well heres my review. I hope keeping the $113 dollars is worth it!

Scheduled an appointment for 3:30 pm took time off work just to make this appointment mind you, Got there 10 min prior to find the garage and waiting room completely full... so I sit there wait and wait it wasnt until 4pm until he had time to finally speak to me and yes at that point I was extremely frustrated hence the appointment was to start at 330 and others had said theyve been waiting since 11AM. So then I tell him what the appointment was for and he proceeds to go to the back (garage) for some reason to get prices or add up cost and never returns but THEN sends his mechanic out to get MY car... I told the mechanic no... Im still waiting for him to come and give me my quote with a dollar amount and both fail to come back to the front to make me aware of whats going on!? Therefore I got up and left the store and cancelled my appointment this is ridiculous!! come on now!!

Do not go to this location!!! Before going to the store I called and asked at 4:15 if they had brakes for my car and told me yes so I got there before five and left my car he finally called around 7:10 and told my he didnt have the cheap brakes so he was going to put the expensive ones on and give me a deal so i said okay thats fine. Then I arrive there just before 7:30 and he proceeds to tell me he HAS NO BRAKES that will fit my car and I will have to come back tomorrow or I could leave my car there all night ! I said no please put the tires on and Ill come back tomorrow , knowing I am not going back!!! He said if I came back hed give me the good brakes for the lower price but I dont trust it. This was unfair and very misleading .

Very disappointed about an incident. I used the store in Pinellas Park Florida back in April to get brakes done. Just found out a caliper bolt had fallen out. My dealership charged me for finding the problem and fix ($30). When I called Derek to let him know at the Just Brakes store, he did say sorry. Of course people make mistakes, but come on!!! A $30 credit at least??? Needless to say, I nor my wife (whos minivan this happened to) are pleased. Stay away! I agree with the previous comment. The pads they put on make alot of noise! They maybe guaranteed for life but they are garbage. They love for you to come around and claim you need new this and that. The best thing you can do is warn everyone, that is what I do!

The manager here is in charge of making unnecessary sales. He pulled a line about how the calipers were designed defective from the OEM and I needed to replace them ASAP because they could suddenly seize and I would lose control of the brakes (!!!). Something this serious should certainly be taken up with the OEM if it has not already been recalled. Once I told him to do no work and put it back on the ground so I could take it up with the dealer the story changed. After consulting the dealer I have since put over 100,000 miles on those calipers. Go figure they still work like new.

Said I needed brake lines replaced, overcharged at $800 for the full job, and took 3 days after being told it might be done the first day, then that it would definitely be done the second day, then that it would definitely be done the third day, didnt get my car back until the end of the third day. I was under the impression I was going to have ALL of my brake lines replaced, they ended up only replacing the rear wheel brake lines. For $800. Huge ripoff and I had to miss work due to not having my car. Never again. Should have stuck with Firestone.

Brought my car in because it was acting funny after a recent tire rotation at another shop. They immediately knew what my problem was and checked some other issues not addressed at the previous shop. Chris, the manager on duty was not pushy in the least. He and the mechanic informed me of some potential future problems, but assured me they were not detrimental issues. When I got my car back, it drove so smooth. Very pleased with my visit.

Was told my brake light and abs lights were on because my computer needed to be re flashed at the dealership. Called dealership to set appt to have computer re flashed and they laughed and said that just meant they could not figure out problem, that re flashing isnt a thing.

These guys are amazing! I dont know what I wouldve done without them. Tony and Chris not only stayed late with me to make sure my brakes were fixed but kept me calm during the whole process. I wont go any where else for car service after dealing with these wonderful guys!
