My last visit was 2 days ago and it will truly be my last visit. I took the car for an oil change and was very clear with the employees that I ONLY wanted the oil changed. Of course Jiffy Lube always tells you what you need done, but one guy took it too far. He says that my transmission fluid desperately needs changed or the tranny will slip very soon. I told him that I dont want to spend 200 bucks on my car today (I always take their advice and check the car myself at home to be sure). When I get home, I check the tranny fluid and its light in color and doesnt smell burnt. So I was not happy with this guy when I saw that, to say the least. What got me more outraged was my rear brake pads he jammed down my throat. He says the pads are gone and are eating into the rotors. I told him Im not doing the service today and he kept insisting; saying that my rear rotors will need replaced if I dont get new brakes immediately, all while saying that my transmission will fail any time. I mean, this conversation goes for at least 8-10 minutes. I tell the guy "no" over 10 times; probably over 15 times, thats how hard he tried to drive an extra sale. They must be getting paid on commission these days or something because Ive never encountered such pressure at any of the several Jiffy Lube stores Ive used. Anyway, they finish up, I leave and go home. I take a minute to check the brakes after checking the tranny fluid and what do I see? My rear brakes have about 1/4" of padding left! Completely unbelievable hed sell me something I really didnt need. Sure, 1/4" isnt much padding, but for rear pads, not close to the point where the rotors will get damaged! This person completely lied to me and probably does this whenever they experience a slow day. If you use this place...my advice is to ONLY get done what you intend when you arrive. Anything they pressure you on, tell them you will take care of next time and remember what they say you need. Go home and inspect yourself. If you arent sure how, go online. YouTube is a great source of tutorials involving vehicle maintenance. It is nice that Jiffy Lube keeps up with your cars manufacturer maintenance recommendations and they keep you informed, but most of their services are quite expensive and before you simply say yes to them, see for yourself that you do in fact need the service (if possible). Go to a place that does free inspections, or get a second opinion if a mechanic establishment is recommending a costly service, or take a friend with you who knows cars. I would have gotten stiffed by this Jiffy Lube if I didnt know any better and this guy really tried to take me for $400 worth of maintenance I didnt need. Be very careful. In fact, dont use this place at all. Save yourself the frustration.

Updated: 10/12/2016. My husband took his car in and was given the same "doom and gloom" speech about recimmended, but unneccesary maintenance suggestions. He knows his cars, so when he declined the unnecessary recommendations, the service guy tried to scare him into the thousands of dollars itd cost him to not do the maintenance. VERY disappointed that they are still doing this. Updated my review 4/12/2016, which was previously 1 star. I was originally upset because my father took my car in for an oil-change and some how left $900 lighter after being told my car (which doesnt even have 100k miles) needed all kinds of fluid changes, which despite being a manufacturers recommendation, were strongly encouraged. After cooling off, I realized most of the blame is on my father for 1) being a great dad who didnt check with the car owner (ME) if the car actually needed it... it didnt, and he was just trying to do his baby girl a solid, and 2) the Jiffy Lube staff was doing what it is likely always encouraged to do... up sell. After writing my original review, I was notified by their costumer service within 24 hrs, and was truly surprised by how well it was handled. Explanations were exchanged, some apologies (some even on my part for being so damn hot headed), and I was overall really impressed with how my complaint was handled. For that reason, Im giving 4 stars, instead of 1. However, my advice to future costumers... know the difference between "recommended car maintenance" and "required car maintenance". My dad would be about $500 heavier if he had understood the difference and checked with his daughter. Good intentions poorly executed.

Scam! Scam! Scam! Went for a simple oil change. Idiots who work there tried to tell me I need following: - Coolant change. Except I just had the entire intake manifold replaced less then 5000 miles ago and the coolant is fine. - Fuel filter. Which was also changed very recently - Air filter. Here "Dex" flat out LIED he showed me a dirty yellow air filter, which didnt come from my car because I changed mine myself and have a high end non OEM air filter. It wasnt even the same color as mine! (He showed me yellow, mine is white) He rattled off a few other things which were mostly scams like bogus additives I can buy at auto zone for 1/10th the price when it was quite clear I just wanted to pay and go. And finally he tries to get me to buy (again overpriced) windshield wipers, it was pathetic, you could hear the desperation he pretty much had the look of "I give up" on his face. He essentially tried to up-sell me everything on the menu. Oh except brakes, which I actually need to get done. I will never... ever go here again. Jiffy lube is pretty bad about this, but this guy took it to a whole new level. If you are not fairly car savvy and arent familiar with what your car needs done, go find a real mechanic. I wouldnt trust these guys, ever. I even checked the oil filter to make sure they screwed it on all the way.

If i could leave zero stars, I would. This place is the worst, BY FAR the worst place I have ever gone to. Took my car there for 2 maybe even 3 oil changes in the past year. Decided they were over priced and did nothing but bully you into stupid HIGHLY over priced jobs. So as a normal unsatisfied customer I simply never returned. Yesterday however my wife was running short on time and needed a quick oil change because she was past due. Decided to run in because its near by. She asked for an oil change only. Was told she needed way more then an oil change and when she declined the tech pressured her into it making her feel like of she left there without all the extra fix-its her car would flat out die and leave her stranded. I looked at the bill and all these disgusting people did was sparl plugs, air filter, and tire rotations. AND THEY CHARGED HER OVER $700!!!! And to top it off. The genious who did said work, didnt even replace the spark plugs correctly. We had to take it back this morning because it was sputtering and shaking. The better business burrow is next on our todo list this morning. This operation is beyond a bad review, they absolutely are appalling.

I purchased a Groupon on-line for an oil change. When I went into the location, the mechanic gave me a list of items that "needed" to be done to my vehicle. As Im only keeping the car another couple of months, I declined all further maintenance. He tried really hard not to take no for an answer and made me feel very uncomfortable. When he recommended I use synthetic oil in my car, I gave in and accepted. I have never done that before but thought I would give it a try. He did tell me that I would have to pay the difference between regular oil and synthetic oil but knowing that it should only be a few dollars per quart, I decided to go for it. The final bill came to over 90 dollars (just for the oil change) and my groupon only covered $40.00. I wound up paying the $50 extra out of pocket. I have never paid 90 for an oil change and never will again. I was very disappointed with the lack of transparency with oil change pricing. When I was sitting in their office I looked for oil change pricing and they had it for all of their other services but not for oil changes. I do not plan on taking my car back to this store again.
