A Tamarac USPS carrier returned my package even though the address was correct and I was waiting outside my building for the carrier when he arrived. I stood right next to him and kindly asked him if he had a package for me (which I know he did because I had been tracking it all day via their website and e-mail alerts) so I could save him from having to walk upstairs. The mailman did not acknowledge or even look at me. As you can imagine, this was highly awkward, but I waited around anyway while he sat in his truck assuming that he would hand me my item, but he never did. Less than 5 minutes after he left, I received an alert that my package was being returned to sender as undeliverable due to an incorrect address. I immediately confirmed with the shipper that there were no errors in my name or address on their shipping label, so the only logical conclusion I can make is that I offended this guy so badly by daring to speak with him in public, that he purposely re-routed my package. This happened two weeks ago, and as of this morning, the shipper has not received the package back or even an update on its status. The 800-ASK-USPS hotline will not allow me to speak with a human being even during business hours, so I have been calling the Tamarac location every day since to find out if it is still there. Apparently they leave their phones off the hook all day to avoid speaking with customers because all I get is a busy signal no matter what time of day I call. Perhaps theyve also instructed their mailmen not to speak to us even when we are standing four feet away from them asking a simple question. VERY professional guys, way to go.

This does not deserve any stars whatsoever!. I had a package that was never delivered to my apartment and mail carrier left the notice in my mailbox as opposed to door which was mistake #1. Mind you that carrier stated he left package in front door BUT he left me a notice that my package was at post office. Since I work same schedule as post office I scheduled redelivery and nothing came that following Monday. I called the customer service center and got a rep that was very helpful and actually cared. She set up ANOTHER redelivery request for following day along with complaint and an investigation. I was told Id be receiving a call within 48 hours. Well I have not received my package, nor any calls and when I call call center, I am told I have to wait until I am called by management. I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY PACKAGE!!!!! No one ever answers the damn phone at post office EVER! This is the worst service I have received thus far! Its a joke that the automated service says you will get your packages on time even if they have to work on Sundays. BULL CRAP!!!! IM STILL WAITING FOR MY CALL ON MY INVESTIGATION!!!! What does a person have to do to get items you purchased. Its not like the post office GAVE IT TO ME!! Im sure this will go unanswered as all the complaints to the post office. How unethical is this! I cant put anymore into words as I am getting more frustrated at the thought that the customers who pay for service cannot get what they ordered or a damn call back! Its been over a week and I still have no answers!

Now I know why most people are not using the post office any longer, post office may soon became history for sure specially when you go through with what we went through. For one thing we made a purchase online and got notification that the package arrived but this post office kept sending my package back to the sender, we kept getting notices that it arrived at our address over and over and nothing was there, this kept happening for days, we went to this post office AGAIN for the forth time and guess what? They had no idea what happened and told us to talk to the sender AGAIN! Finally the vendor sent our package via Federal Express and we got it not problems. This post office is the worse. They never pick up the phone to answer, we often receive wrong mails even from addresses far from where we live, our mail is delivered elsewhere often, and now the very worse has happened, everyones mail were stolen at the complex we live in because the mail carrier forgot to lock all the mail boxes resulting in everyone getting their mail stolen! Now to top it all our FPL bill was returned because the post office is showing our address as vacant! I am close to having a heart attack because of all the aggravation from this post office. Why do I even have to give one star? This is a zero nothing not even a dot.

I keep amending my review - because it just gets worse and worse. They mis-delivered my package and after strenuously calling and getting no reply - I finally got someone. And my postal lady was on vacation so a Ms. Elizabeth put my package in the parcel locker and left it there. Denise DID get in touch with me and let me know how best to take care of this ordeal with a claim (because we both had the understanding that it was misdelivered) - but then I find out today (12 days later) that my package was there the ENTIRE time. The delivery person was just THAT lazy to not even try to leave me a key. I left a note and everything. This is insane!!!! They need to do way better than this! 12 days! It was diabetic nutrition, so on top of that it was melting in a hot box - unedible. No thanks to the incompetency of this person. She delivered with a "oh well" attitude and no apology. The initial followup was appreciated by Denise, however, the carrier letting a whole box sit in a locker for 12 days and refused to leave me the key to get to it is irresponsible. I will have my items delivered to my secured PO box with UPS instead. USPS yall need to shut this office down. And yes - I did send a formal complaint letter. I saved the rant for google.

It would be too much to ask for my package to actually be delivered, wait home all day long for it but no show, than I look in the lock box and there is a notification that there was no safe place to leave the item. How about with me?! First of all did the postman come to my door and knock? And than drive all the way back to where the lock boxes are on the property to leave the note? No he didnt. He is lazy and leaves the note right off the bat so he doesnt have to come to your door. And my god this happens all the time! Than you go to the post office and it is worse than the worst dmv I have been to, they have an attitude with everyone and never have I seen more than 2 people working there, given that the second person only comes out when the line is out the door. I wish I could have my mail come through a different post office!!!

This facility should shut down inmediately, starting from the General Manager down to the rank and file, everyone is as incompetent and lackadeisical like they should not be responsible for their deplorable attitude for the way they for conduct themselves. I sent overseas a package to my attorney; containing valuable documents issued by the Surrogates Court worth thousand of dollars including attorney fees. Its been more than a month, and my attorney has not receive the package!!! No one assumes responsability. Its never their fault. Ive seen so many customers complain like I do and the general manager doesnt give a crap. This post office is doing a disservice to the community. In another occasion a found a letter from my mother with signed blank checks on the floor in the lobby of my bldg. Bravo, Mr. Mailman.
