Okay in reference to previous revue from Jack, now youve heard the half truth, heres what the REAL truth is,the car was brought into the shop running badly with a consistant engine miss, now mind you this car is 10 years old 2002 T Bird and has never had a dime spent on it since it was purchased, brake dust permanantly stuck to chrome wheels, right side mirror broken off, however it did have low milage, defenitly just a neglected car. After a basic diagnostic scan i had found that computer had random missfire codes but not defining what cylinder it was on,so hands on investigation found that valve cover gaskets had hardened and oil had leaked into holes in cylinder head and multiple spark plug coil boots were 2 to 3 inches deep in oil, customer being Jack was told that in order to do anything at all to fix problem valve covers had to be replaced, its a very lengthy and expensive job on the 3.0 liter dohc engine,it was also recommended that he replace spark plug coil boots, generally in allot of cases once oil is cleaned up from holes and a few boots replaced in allot of cases that takes care of problem, not always but in most cases,he was told that repeatidly it might fix it but it might not,but it had to be done to eliminate that scenerio. After recommending coil boots as well he declined the extra work so valve covers were done and car was put back together, car ran much better for a few days but then came back with similar problem just not as bad,at that time i said coil boots should be done which also did not fix the problem, with limited computer diagnostics car was sent to my other shop where they have factory lap top scanning ability and it was found that at certian RPM ranges a few coils were dropping in output voltage and creating the hesitation and miss,he was informed of the problem and at that point continued to complain about the price of the work and what needed to be done saying that problem should have beenfound initially, which isnt the way it works, some diagnostic is a process of elimination, but proper procedure of flowchart diagnostics was done and parts mark up at my location are lower then any in the area as well.A mechanic can not be responsible for parts failing that are ten years old and original equipment especially after coils were missfiring in cylinders for who knows how long, after trying to explain over and over again he continued to complain about cost and improper diagnostics and thats the reason he had to spend that much money, some people just have no mechanical understanding of how things work and why things do what they, its obvious in this case for sure. Rather then continue to hear his complaints owners just decided to give him a discount and give him the car back in perfect running condition, yes coils fixed it,but wouldnt have unless valve covers were done ? Get it ? He also stated to me that a regular customer of mine told him they would never come back to my shop because they were unhappy with my work as well,i found that hard to believe so i called that particular customer and asked them if that was true, the answer i got was (absolutely did not tell him that)we had purcased a new car and everything was under warranty, and the week prior they had reffered someone to my shop,so basically to get his frustration out and a cheaper price and not pay for legitimate work that needed to be done i was lied to,and then rumors at a local pub were also voiced of his dissatisfaction, thats really sad that someone has to go to those extremes to not spend money on there car,so now you know the REAL story of what happened with Jack ! I have 100`s of very satisfied ,loyal customers and friends that trust me to maintain there family vehicles and do a good job at fair prices, cant please everyone that obvious ! Don at Tiger Auto, also on Angies List ,go check it out !

Honest Mechanic
Saw a silly ass sign out in front of this place ( friendly new mechanic) what a joke that was,had been going to beach shop for almost three years and myself am also a auto mechanic, never had time to work on my own stuff,Don the mechanic and guy who ran the whole deal there was maybe not always in the best of moods, he did everything by himself, but you could always get a fair deal and good prices and quality work with him, after he left myself and many ,many other people local to beach went elsewhere because we couldnt find him,i heard nothing but complaints about charges and things not getting fixed, they even called me numerous time trying to get me to bring car back, didnt happen and as of recently i have found Don local to beach and told lots of people who were looking for him where he is at currently, they are quite thankful to find him and continue doing business with him,if you drive by there the business has gone way down hill since he left, hard to find an honest hard working mechanic these days, glad i found him again....

Wifes Car stopped running , Had it towed to Tiger enterprises. After a few days maybe a week they said it needs valve covers and coils. they charged me $2200.00. I knew it was real high but I paid it. Took car home. Next day wife called me her she was stuck car stopped running . Its was doing the EXACT EXACT same thing. Had it towed back to tiger Enterprises. They had the car approximate 2 months. We stared calling telling them we need our car, they said its 347.75. I paid them got the car, now it goes 40 mph with foot off gas pedal and the the motor cuts out quick but keeps running. Its dangerous for my wife and my Grand baby to drive in. I dont wanna take it back cause i feel they fixed the wrong thing both times and they are gonna let it sit there again and charge me again! I tried but I feel I am being taken advantage of.they gouge and I suggest stay away.

One of the most pleasant experiences I had when my car broke down. As a relatively new resident to the area, it was divine intervention that my car failed right in front of his shop. Rick was a joy to work with. He clearly explained what the problem was, how long it would take to repair and gave me the cost. He even saved the broken component to show me what it was. He is a thoroughly competent mechanic and I would highly recommend him. Thanks again Rick for getting my car up and running! ~Lisa

Talked to guy on the phone, I asked for a quote then he literally took 10 seconds to respond then goes "uh, okay" so I hung up he called me back and left a voice mail saying "uh you call me for a quote etc...." just rambling on so I called him back and told him I didnt like his attitude and he definitely did not earn my business by his actions, I would never trust some one like that working on my car.
