I gotta say, they stay true to their name. When they were done with my vehicle, my first reply was, "AWESOME"! Why? Here are a few reasons: 1) THEY ARE HONEST AND TRUSTWORTHY: Most shops overcharge like crazy! Especially if the customer doesnt know exactly what is wrong with their vehicle. Ive seen some who will throw some outrageous number out there for some horse-crap reasons. Sadly, these few bad-apples makes the entire industry not trustworthy leaving the customer hesitant with maintaining their rides. These guys are honest and to the point. I went in with a problem thinking I would have to fork out over 300 bucks, but ended with a 60 dollar bill. WOW! 2) THEY FIX WHAT YOU ASK THEM TO FIX AND LISTEN TO YOU: I usually do my own maintenance because of the crazy prices out there. However, this go-around was pretty tricky for me and I couldnt pinpoint the problem. I went in there, told them what Ive done and what the car was doing. They took in consideration of what the customer is saying (a huge plus... they are not pretentious buttfaces). They didnt try to lure me into any other services or "favors" or try to tell me that "this and that needs fixen now". I hate it when others try to do that.... the whole "by the way" bid. 3) THIS SHOP IS WHAT SMALL BUSINESS AMERICA IS ALL ABOUT: Honest, friendly, neighborhood fellas you can trust and rely on to get the job done with a smile and a firm handshake. They are proficient, steadfast and simple. They dont play the numbers with you; what they tell you is what you get...period. Heres how it works: (a) go in there (b) tell them the problem (c) give them the keys and your number (d) go about your business and then (e) he calls you back and either tells you the problem or tells you they have done and how much is costs (f) you leave with an "AWESOME" and a smile after a handshake and a thank you. Whats more American than that? Im definitely going back for any maintenance/repair requirements in the future. I dont feel violated or afraid of what they may do to my car in order to jack up the price (some will loosen a bolt or put a slit in one of your lines). They show appreciation for your business and they dont disappoint. Thank you guys! Youve made my day.

Best auto repair in Tampa/Oldsmar!!! I found this hidden gem on google and thought Id check it out. Unfortunately, it was right before a holiday so it was closed early. So....I had to take my car into another local repair shop (Murrays) to get an oil change. While there I was told I needed brakes and rotters on the driver side, a new battery, and 2 rear lights replaced. I asked them why did they check all of that other stuff when all I wanted was my oil changed. Instantly I was pissed and told them I can change the light bulb, but whatever just change it and give me my car. I was charged $16 to replace a light I couldve done myself. I couldve changed the oil too, but had arrands to run. So, I paid for the oil change and light replacement, to realize on my way home that the lights werent working and a warning light showed up on my dash. Come to find out the rear lights were never replaced and the light lamp was never plugged back in. I know Im a girl, but my mother made sure while we were growing up we knew how to fix cars. So, I checked the rear brake lights, changed them myself, and plugged the lamp back in. Needless to say, I decided to try Awesome Automotive again since they had such great reviews! All I can say is Gary is Awesome! I brought my car in told him I needed breaks and rotters on driver side. He said he may not be able to get to my car that day, but will call me once he looks at it to tell me what I actually need. Hes a man of his word! Idropped my car off around 11am. My car was done at 4:30pm the same day! The price was less than the "other place up the street." Plus he gives a military discount!!! As soon as I seen Garys shop and met him, I knew I made a great choice! He reminded me of my most trusted mechanic I had in Philly! If you need a mechanic you can trust, check him out! Hes very straight forward and honest! Couldnt have found a better place!!!

I moved to Safety Harbor from the Northeast last November. After having had my car serviced by the same trusted mechanic for years, I was quite apprehensive at the thought of having to find a new mechanic. Starting from scratch in a new place can be a little intimidating. Gary at Awesome Automotive came highly recommended by a friend at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Oldsmar, and I am more than happy that I followed my friends recommendation. I took my car to Gary in March and right from the start, Gary made me feel like family. From the moment you start talking to Gary, you instinctively know that you have come to the right place. It had been six months since my car had been serviced, and I needed an oil change and maintenance check for my car. After checking my car, Gary suggested that sometime over the next few months that a transmission fluid flush & cleaning of my fuel injectors be done per the manufacturers recommendation for my car. This did not come as a surprise to me, because my prior mechanic had indicated to me last year before I moved that these services should be put on my radar screen for this year. Therefore, I was quite impressed with Garys finding. Since my car was already in for service, I asked for a price and if it could be done that day. Coming from the Northeast and having had this type of service done on previously owned cars, Garys pricing was extremely reasonable. Gary provides outstanding service at a more than fair price and once you talk to Gary, it becomes apparent that he genuinely cares about his customers. I will definitely be a repeat customer. If your car needs service, I highly recommend Gary. You wont be disappointed. Appropriately named, Gary and his staff are Awesome Automotive!

After several awful recent experiences at the Toyota dealership I have taken my car to for the last 9 years, I decided to not give them any more of my money or business. I had heard about the level of service at Awesome Automotive from several co-workers who had work done there and also read some favorable reviews online so I decided to check it out myself. I have not been disappointed. From my initial call where I spoke to the owner Gary directly to picking up my car the same day , I have to say the business name is very befitting. They have been AWESOME! Gary gave me a very fair deal in getting my motor mounts replaced and took the time to explain the options and also what to expect. I feel he has been very honest and forthcoming in giving me straight talk and not all the nonsense that came with dealing with service managers at dealerships where they work on commission and not looking out for the consumer. I called Gary the next day because the last time I took my car to the dealer they also broke the hood release mechanism in the car and would not take responsibility or fix it despite the 9 years of taking my car in to them exclusively. Gary fixed it for free. He went above and beyond in getting the issue with my car resolved and I will definitely be back for some new tires and general maintenance. I never take the time to write reviews but in this case felt compelled to let others know that there are still great mechanics out there and fair business men. Gary and his crew fit the bill.
