BE WARNED! DO NOT TRUST THEM! This location is a franchise and if they mess anything up on your car its your word against theirs and they dont like taking responsibility at all!! I brought my car in with motor issues and my a/c out. They told me I needed a WHOLE NEW blower motor!!!! ****THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY BLOWER MOTOR.**** This was going to cost me over $200 to replace (a perfectly fine working blower motor) So I took my car to a local mechanic who usually does work cheap for me. (Has been doing this for over 10 yrs and is a good friend) THE FIRST THING HE DID was check to see if my blower motor wire was connected since thats THE MOST COMMON reason for a blower motor to stop working. And guess what... It was simply DISCONNECTED. This should have been the very first thing they checked but instead they told me I needed to replace THE WHOLE MOTOR... Why so they can just TAKE my money? Yes. Totally unbelieveable. On top of that there were multiple other serious issues that I have had with this location, on the same visit. They were totally in the wrong and when I asked for my money back- they said, and this is word for word from the owners mouth "youre going to have to do a lot better than that" at convincing them they messed my car up. Um.. I know literally nothing about cars, I just want the proper work done that I paid for - and without mistakes. Dont trust them, they will not take care of you if they screw up AND they wont take any responsibility what-so-ever. Throughout my multiple bad experiences with this franchise location they have never been willing to own up to the responsibility for missing things or breaking things in my vehicle. They basically said "OOPS we dont care, too bad for you." I called the Tires Plus corporate line and have finally had my issue taken care of for FREE by the corporation since they are much more understanding and obviously want to take care of their customers. Even though this location is a franchise I got very lucky when a local store manager at another Tires Plus agreed to redo the work they messed up on for free.

Im a returning customer for 5+ years!! Ive been doing all my car/truck maintenance myself but when it comes to tires thats something I have to outsource and the University Tires Plus is the only place Im going to. Before I ended up here like most of us I spent countless hours on my researches. Checking the internet for prices,calling all the different stores,comparing all the different quotes.....and then one day/5 years ago/ I stopped by for a quote and came across Jim and his A-Team. Their prices were competitive.The customer service was great.The guys were knowledgeable,energetic,helpful so I ordered a set of 4 tires for my pick up. They didnt try to sell me any unneeded services nor try to talk me into buying a higher priced set of tires. They did exactly what Ive asked them to do and I paid exactly what they said Ill going to..... What happened about two week later made me a returning customer for LIFE! I picked up somebodys wheel balance weight on the road and it punctured one of my brand new tire. I think I had maybe 300 miles on my tire. It was so bad my tire deflated under a 45 seconds. I thought for sure that tire was history. I went back to the shop and the first thing they told me was /instead of sell me a new tire/ let them patch it first see if itll hold up.... it did ..and it still does today 5 years and nearly 45K miles later. Did I say Im a highly satisfied returning customer ever since. Ive got tires from them for my wifes cars and Im sending all my friends to them. They even hooked me up with 10 ply trailer tires for my enclosed trailer. No business can satisfy all of their customers but these guys are trying it everyday. Go see Jim,Corey,Anthony,Chris,Bob or any of those guys. You wont be disappointment. ...and about their customer service. Im a foreign with a thick accent and they always treated me with RESPECT unlike a lot of other businesses.

Twice Ive been to University Tires Plus. Corey (manager) said they had no open time slot, but then said, Maybe Chris has a moment to help you. In 4 minutes he did solve my problem. He didnt charge me and did not make any effort to draw my in for anything additional. Wow! 2nd visit, my car always starts as soon as I turn it over. About cars I only know the engine contains no wood of any type. However 3 vague electrical parts came to mind. Tyler did tests and said the battery was new but weak. If it was his car he would find the warrantee and replace it. Problem solved. As a physician I must read patients eyes to best be able to really help. Corey, Chris and Tyler are all competent and honest to their core. Wanted to talk to Tippecanoe but he was in the back singing a General Harrison or President Donald Trump song so I didnt bother him. Thank You, Tire + Actually Im Dr DON Malnati but thats an unimportant detail.

The entire experience with this Tires Plus franchise store was bad. They used expensive and unnecessary synthetic oil without asking. They got my car year and model wrong on the invoice. My bill for oil change and wipers was much higher than anywhere I have taken it in the past. When I called, the manager was not very friendly and acted like he could care less. Filed complaint with Tires Plus, but this is a franchise and nothing works the same as with the company stores. Big hassle. To top it off, I just received my statement and this store charged $50 in error in addition to the full amount on my invoice to my account. More expense and trouble than it is worth for me to straighten their errors out. Ive been going to Tires Plus for years, but the service and prices have changed for the worse in the last year--Im done with them, and would never use this location again.

One of our company vehicles broke down while we were out of town so my husband had the driver bring our vehicle to this location since it was the closest to where it broke down. We knew it was the water pump that was going bad, we have had this problem with some of our other trucks. They wanted to replace all of our belts (which had just been replaced less than a year ago), do a system flush..... The water pump is broken... the truck cannot hold water, its literally flushing itself. Anyway, they wanted almost $1200..... Tires plus ill let you in on a secret. Theres this thing called the internet, yea it lets you know anything you want to know. The part cost less then $150. Are you serious? My husband had to have it towed to a real mechanic who charged $380 for new water pump. You guys are thieves Tires Plus Stop ripping people off.

Just had a slow leak, simple right. They said a band for the air pressure system was mysteriously loose in the tire and was defective. So I took my car to Ford who showed me how the band was broken by the Tire Plus technician. I spoke with Corey who said it wasnt their fault. They put the band on my tire and charged me for the part only. So in the end after three trips to Tires Plus and one to Ford dealership I paid $60 for a simple tire repair that typically costs 10$-20$. The atmosphere in that place is dismal, and I saw many customers fume over different issues. I am going back to my other mechanic its worth the extra drive, I just gave them a try because its in a convienent location. Steer clear of Tires Plus on University and Tuttle!!!
