######### NOT IMPRESSED ######### I will tell you my experience with Auto Pro; you can make up your mind from there. Keep in mind I have been a loyal customer for over 14 years, unfortunately I believe the owner has turned over the day to day operations to his service manager. I took my vehicle in for a front brake job in mid May; it needed new rotors, pads, and a lot of miscellaneous stuff, tune-up, transmission service, fuel injection service, over $1500 dollars worth. A little high but I was happy with the service. Shortly after that I noticed a wobble when I would apply the brakes, I took it in and was told the front drivers side wheel bearing was bad, given 150k miles on the truck that seemed plausible, I was also told by the service manager that the brake caliper was bad also. I asked why that wasn’t found out when we did the initial front brake rebuild, I was told it was good then, but 2 weeks later it’s now bad. I asked about the other side brake caliper and was told it was good. Ok, I am not a mechanic and I have to rely on their honesty and professionalism. This was mid June. This repair was $800 dollars plus. Shortly after picking up my truck, I noticed that the wobble was still there when I applied the brake. I talked with the service manager and was told it was the passenger side wheel bearing that was bad, so I had that repaired, 12 days after the other wheel bearing, he also replaced my brake caliper, never told me it needed replacing, just did it and charged me for it. The same brake caliper that was good less than two weeks ago. Another $800 dollar plus repair. This is now late June. Two days after I picked up my vehicle I called the service manager to tell him the original problem, wobbling in my brakes when I apply the brakes is still there, it still is not fixed, I get told the soonest he can see me is 6 days from that phone call. Personally I think this is crappy service, not to mention I have almost $1700 dollars in repairs and still have my original wobble when I apply my brakes. Not to mention I lost 2 days worth of work being without my truck. I thought I would be seen sooner, given my problem and money I had already invested in my vehicle, but the service manager thought otherwise. I have since found another mechanic, who seems better at vehicle diagnosis and not just interested in swapping parts, hoping it fixes the problems, at my expense. .

My car was having an issue with an oil leak so i decided to take the car over to autopro to get it checked, especially since all the reviews i read here seemed positive. They started with a diagnostic to thoroughly check for all possible problems with car including my main concern which was the oil leak. It cost me about $112 dollars for the diagnostic and "brian" i believe his name was kindly showed me a print out of everything and i am willing to add that he did also offer me a ride home since my car was left with him. Later that day he reported the two major problems found which was a cam shaft sensor and oil pressure switch gone bad and that those were the cause of the oil leak and warning lights on dashboard, as soon as i heard the pricing to get this fix i was shocked! he said it would cost $400 to fix! I thought about it for a bit and decided to just take the car back and pay for the diagnostic. I asked him if i could leave the car overnight and he said it was fine. The next day i called and asked if i could get a courtesy ride back to pick up the car and pay since i had decided to perform the repairs myself, he stated that it was busy and couldnt go out of his way to which was fine with me i was nearby but i figure since he showed courtesy before that he would extend it to this time as well but i guess the moment he heard that i was going to not pay that huge chunk of money to get it fixed the attitude must have changed as well. I payed the amount for the diagnostic and took a trip to oreilly auto parts and get this, the cam shaft sensor $37.99, the oil pressure switch $10.99, tool to help remove the oil pressure switch easier $9.99 totaling $58.97 with tax. Now let me mention that i am NOT a car mechanic and i know rarely anything about cars BUT i am good with following directions (in this case from the teacher known as "youtube"). Labor time for cam shaft: 15-20 minutes... Labor time for oil pressure switch: 3 hours (but could have been done faster if i would have known how to go about it from the beginning), total cost $170.97 (diagnostic and parts). Now tell me how this is suppose to be $400?! if i calculate the $400 minus how much diagnostic and parts cost i am paying in labor $229.03 and my mind is stuck on why????? I guess sometimes its better to do it yourself...

Taken 2004 nissan xterra in for Engine Service Soon light on asked for diagnosis and provided $25 off coupon and said would be $86 with $25 off. Mechanic didnt mention what error code was associated with Engine service soon light just said need to fix following clean air intake sensor , air filter, new distributor, clean throttle assembly which added up to $774 with $25 off. Dont think all that needed to be done to fix the Engine Service Soon light was most likely clean air intake sensor and air filter dirty which would have been $30 and no way did throttle assembly cause that so said remove that which auto pro wanted $100 to clean and new distributor said part cost is $400 and labor $100 which part costs like $120 online with free shipping and estimated labor should of been $75 so charging $300 more than what should have been charged normally. Also charged $43 in shop supplies which wasnt mentioned before doing repairs. I though with some coupon discounts $75 off would be okay but due to all the overcharges and shop supplies added to end cost me $625 and car runs about the same. If mechanic would of been up front and said you need this to resolve Engine service soon light would of just had that done for $30 and diagnostic cost even though eventually new distributor was needed could have waited and shopped around. I asked about shop supply charges added and Brian said doesnt see that until checking out so he doesnt know and anyone going there wouldnt know shop supply charges until your paying.. Just 1 day after Engine Service Soon light came back on so nothng was fixed

This shop was quite fast and friendly. However, when I take my car into the shop I do like to be educated on what needs to be done and why. All I really got from auto pro was my that it wasnt starting because a few months ago when I got everything under my hood cleaned out, the computer wasnt reset and thats why my car wasnt starting or that when it did, it was idling very high. They said they drove it around (which is the truth as my gas light was on now when I picked it up) and that it felt fine. It still hesitated a bit when I started it, but I trusted that everything was fine. For about two and a half weeks, my car was running ok until it stalled out. Then it wouldnt start. Then my battery died. Then we jumped it and got it running, it idled high, then stalled out. Tried to crank it again, battery was dead again. Had to get my car towed for the second time in less than 3 weeks. This time I got it taken to Christian Brothers (who I recommend tenfold) and they told me that my alternator was bad and it fried my battery and my belt was on its last leg. They got this taken care of in three days (could have been two but my alternator didnt come in on time). My car was at auto pro for 3 days. I could have saved $124 if AAA had not recommended that I take my car here first. I see that I am not the only one who came to this shop because of AAA and had a bad experience. Christian Brothers on trout creek has excellent communication, knowledge and customer service. This would have been two stars had I not received exemplary service elsewhere.
