I would strongly advise against hiring this company. Im not sure why the other reviewers experiences were rated as positive, because based on my move this past Monday, I can only give the company two stars, and thats pretty generous. Here are the reasons: 1) The company was nearly impossible to get in contact with regarding my deposit, and they dont take online payments. So, I was uncertain if I even had the date held because I couldnt get in touch with them, and then as soon as I mentioned dropping them to hire someone else, miraculously someone was able to contact me. 2) All day long, the movers were very polite and nice, but they did not seem trained in their craft. They packed the truck terribly, even having to turn our grill upside down to fit it in the truck. So, that probably ruined our grill. Then, they wasted a lot of space at the top of the truck and instead packed mostly out, resulting in having barely enough space to take our stuff. In fact, they ran out of space and we are going to have to go back sometime this week to get some final boxes. 3) I specifically asked the movers about 5 times if they would make sure to shrink wrap our mattresses and any furniture. The movers made it seem like a strange request but did oblige. However, they skimped on the wrapping, and my brand new mattress is now covered in dirt all down the side, which means the warrant is now voided. I have never experienced a moving company who doesnt take care of properly wrapping your mattress. If Big League wasnt going to take care of our mattresses properly, they should have told me to secure mattress bags. 4) They took a chunk out of our doorway while moving things. 5) The truck was filthy, including having remnants of broken glass and mirror from another move (we hope! We checked all of our mirrors and they are fine). So now, my garage is covered in shards of glass and broken mirror. Luckily my 20 month old daughter didnt cut her foot walking around today. What kind of company doesnt at least sweep out their trucks in between moves? The only reason Im not giving this company one star is because the moving men were friendly, polite, and worked hard. Unfortunately, they didnt seem very experienced or knowledgeable about packing the truck, but they did work quickly and efficiently. I paid a flat rate for the move, so that might have made the movers work quicker. It did also make me feel like the company was nickeling and diming me, though. So, choose another mover. We used 24/7 Movers for our last move, and they were AWESOME. Unfortunately, they dont do moves outside of Atlanta.

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I would never recommend Big League Movers to anyone unless you want to end up with a lot of damaged goods, and when you call to speak to a supervisor to discuss the problems they dont make any effort to respond and try to rectify. Now we are waiting for a washer/dryer repairman to come as our brand new washer and dryer were dropped into place not set down, which resulted in a crushed drain pan, torn up floor, and now machines that dont work, along with damage to the outside of machines because most items were NOT padded and wrapped as promised. Verbally abusive team leader, muttering profanity and derogatory comments under his breath when he was asked to write up an incident report - just beyond the pale of horrible behavior. Team leader also thought it was appropriate to stop carrying items and ask me if I had something wrong with me as I was standing by to help. Keep in mind I was folding all their blankets for them, picking up all debris, providing refreshments, etc. No idea what his problem was, but the most disappointing thing was calling to speak to a supervisor before the end of the business day who promised to call me back today and never did. This speaks volumes about the company! Update 9-20-17 - This is a follow up to my September 2 review - after working with Pete Elder and being promised that Big League Movers would "Make It Right" and refund us for our move costs, and the rest would go to claims for property damage and the items that were damaged, we didnt hear from him so we tried to follow up today. Now someone else answers his phone and claims to have no knowledge of our problems, says Pete Elder has been gone from the company for weeks (but my last contact with him was September 8 via text message), doesnt know anything about it, has no notes on an hour and a half long conference call we had with Pete Elder, and were right back at square one. This is absolutely no way to run a business!! We thought they were going to work in good faith to resolve this.

I had an amazing experience with Big League Movers from the initial quote to the day-of moving. I worked with two different people in the office on the phone, and both were attentive, followed up, were informative and polite. Day-of I was scheduled for arrival time of 3-5pm but the crew got done with their first move around noon and called me to see if I was available sooner, which was great! A. Alston was my Lead mover and him and his crew were absolutely great -- quick, careful, knowledgable, and a fun crew to be around. They even finished the full move with 10 minutes to spare in the 2-hour minimum so they helped me take a load of items from my car to my apartment. This was my first time using movers and I learned a few things for any other first-timers: its fast to load the truck, but it takes longer to unload the truck (especially in an apartment building) so set your expectations appropriately; do not put clothes that are on hangers in boxes, rather, use garbage bags as wardrobe bags and next time I would buy a cheap wardrobe rolling rack and use that to transport closet items; Ikea furniture is probably going to fall apart, so put a giant moving belt around those items or have them plastic-wrap it before they move it; get two mattress pads and use one on the top and one on the bottom of your mattress to make sure if either slouch on the move it will always be protected; they work by the hour not by the item so give them everything and anything to move! If I ever need movers again I will definitely use Big League and will be recommending them to anyone who is looking.

The moving company is horrible and cost me $50.00. and did not do my move. I requested a move, received a quote and purchased a coupon on Yelp to receive a discount. A company rep called a day before the move and told me he was sending his best crew. Two movers came and the lead asked me to walk through the house and show him what was being moved. He immediately began to tell me what his company would not pay for if they damaged my property during the move. This is not the the protocal for movies companies; most of the time movers are responsible for what is in their possession, but this company wanted me and will want you to sign a waiver to release them of all liability for damage. The driver told me my house could be damaged from things bumping the walls as well. The driver was unprofessional and yelled to explain to me why and should sign and yelled back in forth with his manager that he called. I did not use this company and I was left scrambing to find another moving company in one day. Most companies like the other one I found will ask you to check your items at the end of the move and submit a claim for any damage found. Big League refused to give the money back I paid for the coupon. If you just read good reviews you may not get real reviews. Look for the bad reviews and you are more likely to know what their real customers have to say. If you want a mover that is going to be responsible for your items do not call Big League, they have a 1 because zero was not an option.
