Where do I begin...DO NOT take your car here for service!!!! My 87 year old father took his old car (not even worth $1000) there because the battery was draining. He just asked them to fix the problem and get it running again. The next thing we know, they say they replaced the brakes, the engine mounts, and various other things that were not asked for or authorized. The service manager, Jeremy, totally took advantage of him and then lied about it. I spoke to the manager "Derrick" who at first was very nice and apologized for the miscommunication. He offered to take the unauthorized brakes back off and only do what we asked for and the charge would be $400. I clarified with him that all we wanted was for the car to be in working order for my parents to drive to the nearby grocery, etc. and he confirmed. The next day, he said the car was ready and would now be free of charge out of "goodwill". The day after my parents got their car back, it would not start at all. My father called Jeremy and Jeremy told them over the phone (without even looking at the car again) that they would fix it but it would now cost $900 and he had to pay in advance. This was after they gave it back saying it was fixed! This place is such a rip off and very dishonest!!! ONE MORE FOLLOW UP (In response to "Owner Response"). Some of the "Owner Response" is true but NOT all and certainly NOT the end result. To re-clarify, my father never authorized the work because he stated that he needed to check with his wife. The service manager admitted initially that there was miscommunication between he and his mechanic which led to them doing the unauthorized work. It is true that they did not charge my father for the unauthorized work but they also did not fix the issue that the car was brought in for, (which was the car wouldnt start because the battery was draining). My father contacted them a second time because the car would not start again and this was the reason he initially took it in. He was told he would need to pay up front which he did. My father is a very honest man who believes the best in people and he always trusts people to do the right thing. They "repaired" the car again and said they replaced the ignition switch to fix the battery drain which cost him around $900. He did not drive it for a week afterward and when he did go to drive the car, it once again did not start. He called to tell Midtown Tire and was told they were not willing to fix it again (though they claimed it was fixed when he got it back prior). It SEEMS as though they simply tried to recoup the cost of the initial unauthorized work and once again did not fix the car. Out of frustration, my father ended up selling the car to a worker in their retirement place for less than he paid Midtown Tire to fix the ignition. She took the car to her mechanic friend who said that the ignition was never replaced as Midtown Tire said. Obviously if this is true (and I have no reason to believe its not), they charged my father for work that was never done. After the woman who purchased it had her mechanic work on it, the car is now running fine. My family initially felt like we should follow up since my father apparently paid for services that were never done but honestly, we just want to be done with this place because it has been an ordeal. It is completely untrue that anyone called my father and he said he was satisfied. It is quite the opposite. He is embarrassed because he feels as though he was taken advantage of and basically scammed. Based on other reviews I have read about this place on this and other sites, we are not the first to have this sort of experience and likely will not be the last. They may be fine for buying tires but I would be very careful when having them do anything beyond that.

Worst! I shopped around and found a better deal (midtown-1200, crystal-750) so I called after a short day to advise midtown a tow truck was coming to move my vehicle. When we arrive they cant locate my keys because the manager Kevin "accidently" took them home. Who does that? Kevin was advised at 7am on 9/8/2016. Jeremy said he would have them pick the keys up from Kevin and dropped off that day otherwise I wouldnt have moved it. At 4:30pm I called back and asked Jeremy if they recovered my keys at the shop. He advised that they were not able to reach the manger since they last spoke (roughly 10 hours passed) and I would have to get the keys the next day at 7am when he came back. The mechanic who I towed the car to stated he needed the key to move the vehicle off the street and into the repair shop to prevent it from getting stolen but could not without the key. So I called midtown back and again nothing. I then went up there. I stood in the doorway as they were closing requesting they either get my key by 8pm or pay to tow my car back to midtown and then tow it back to the shop with the key next day for the inconvenience. They (jeremy) refused to pay for the tow and PUSHED me out the door way. Not with his hands but he stood in front of me and scooted back to take my place. I asked Jeremy why he pushed me he said cause he needed to get my fat ass out the way. Raggedy Rugen another mechanic yelled in my face for like 15 minutes. I like how they refuse to take any responsibilty for the inconvenience they caused us. So lets be clear the mechanic is delayed at least a day, I have to pay additional days on a rental, my car is out on the street unable to be locked up properly, Jeremy hung up on me 4+ times and called me out my name and pushed me, and still after all of this states I owe midtown 109 dollars for a diagnostic test that he never advised of or can prove was completed. Even though not advised or proven I offered to pay it I just wanted to pick my keys up from the manager in cumming etc and get on but still nothing. All I want is my keys to remain on site and not be taken home by employees for no reason and if you make a mistake I ask that you fix it in a timely fashion. Jeremy is a liar and if you can take your car somewhere else then you better do so to many people saying the same thing its just not right!

These guys are great! They recommended great tires and have done excellent work each time I have visited them. With that said, do be careful of what they are trying to up-sale. I know its common practice today, but I was personally told the replacement tire for my existing punctured tire would be $130. When I gasped, they went on to tell me that was their least expensive tire for my Toyota. As it turns out, the tire was actually only $86. I made the decision to put on only one tire instead of two, because I was led to believe the amount was for the tire was $130, not the amount of the tire plus all of the bells and whistles of installation. That resulted in me having to come back two days later and pay a whole new set of installation fees and labor for a second tire to maintain balance. What also irked me is that they automatically include a premium extra insurance in your quote without explanation. Luckily I ended up not paying for the addition, because the guy was nice enough at the end to say, "Hey, the amount I quoted you included a premium insurance beyond the warranty. You dont need it so Im taking it off. Final cost: $118." In retrospect, I probably should have disclosed this information, because they seem like the type of people who would right the wrong. Other than this one hiccup, I have nothing but positive things to say.
