I had a 15 year old Lenox "builders grade" "Heat Pump" system for my upstairs and it was the pits! It was undersized and struggled. It was hot in the summer and cold in the winter! Out of 15 years only 9 of them the system actually worked like it was suppose too. During the 9 years it did work it struggled and ran our power bill up! During its last leg it quit working all together. I had Ragsdale install my basement system 10 years ago and they did a wonderful job with a great system, they also did my dads basement too and again great work. I actually did not call anyone else this time but Ragsdale. When I had my basement unit installed I had 4 companies quote me and Ragsdale was the lowest price, so with that I thought I hope they do good but money was an issue then. They far surpassed the great level to excellent! Above and beyond what was needed! So anyways cut to the now; had noticed the system failed on a Sunday called them first thing on Monday. They sent a repair tech out (thinking repair) by noon, unfortunately the vertic was bad, shot coils and with the old freon system a huge expense to repair. He suggested a new system and I completely agreed, it was a terrible system to begin with. Then by 2:00 that same day they sent a sales rep out to size my system and give me my options. Sales guy "Ben" said he did not want to waste my time and asked what my needs were and what I wanted to spend. I asked for a full range so he staged it into three levels. He was super nice and respectful, just the best. So what sold me was the 0% financing using wells fargo with home improvement credit line. So we ended up going with the top of the line Carrier Infinity system, the features and the 0% sold me on that option. The infinity system has really lived up! Love the full color touch screen with wifi connection from anywhere! I can be at work and turn my air to what ever I want. The programming is a great feature too, I never had that before. Love the energy tracking it has, I can see how much it is costing me to run. So far the highest was $2.57 for an entire day, so yea super efficient as they said. Thats running the AC at 78 during the day while gone then dropping to 75 before we get home and 72 while we sleep. It also has a true dehumidifier what a difference the upstairs feels due to that. The installers were so nice and they covered all the work areas from the door to the attic with drop cloths, so absolutely no mess when the left! Did the work in 3 to 4 hours, they even had to run new refrigerant lines my existing ones was to small, probably what messed up my last system. The installers explained the line replacement and gave me options on how they could do that with minimal effects. All around great I even talked my niece into buying a new system as hers went out the same weekend mine did, she got a mid level carrier system.

Yesterday, I was skeptical to call Ragsdale. I just moved in and two of my neighbors advised me a few days ago not to call your company. Anyway, the heat had been off and on for a couple of months. I was tired of chopping wood, and the wife was tired of smelling it burn. What the heck. I called your number since it was already labeled on the unit. Mike Wilhelm arrived at our home around 1730 hours. When Mike greeted me, I liked him immediately. He had a comforting smile. The kind you get from people who know what theyre doing. Mike asked me a few questions about what was going on. Then he immediately began to get to work. Like a blood hound, he found the scent and determined what was the problem. We needed a new relay. Mike told me that before he could fix the problem, he had to give me the exact cost in advance. He said he could fix it immediately if he had the relay in his van. He did. The final cost was around $223. But, it could have been higher, probably over $250. Mike didnt have to, but he found a way to give me a discount. I thought that was nice of him. Mike replaced the relay in licktey-split time. He also replaced the filter, inspected the outside unit and added some part that looked like a battery. He told me what it was, but I forgot. He didnt charge us for it either. Mike was at our home for about an hour. Im a retired Marine . My wife and I have own homes all around this great Nation. We have experienced the bad and the good when it comes to home repairmen. But, we have never experienced EXCELLENT. Mike Wilhelm is a professional. He represents Ragsdale Heating, Air & Plumbing and HIMSELF with integrity and honor. He is proficient and a hard worker. Hes the kind of guy that you can trust. The kind of guy you want to ask to come over for dinner. If we experienced any other problems that Ragsdale, Heating and Air & Plumbing can help us with, you better believe were going to call you. And as far as my neighbors good, I have told them not to believe the rumors, Ragsdale is the bomb!! May the Father bless your company, your workers and especially Mike Wilhem in all good things.

Yesterday, I had an Infinity 19VS system installed by Field Techs, Troy L and Rodney O. Their professionalism could not have been more evident. The cost of the unit was lower than the local competitors and the installations was top notch. There was however a small problem during the installation. I had a very brittle plastic water pipe and when the copper line was lowered, it busted the pipe and water started spraying. Sometimes, things happen. What is important to me as a customer is, how are they going to react to the busted water pipe? Immediately, Ragsdale Customer Service called me and assured they would take care of everything (and they did!). Within 30 minutes, they had 8 people at the house working to completely dry everything out. Ragsdale arranged for a sub-contracting specializing in flooding and mold control to run a commercial dehumidifier just to assure my peace of mind. Out of curtesy, they even went an extra step and fixed another plumbing problem in my master bathroom (thanks Colby). Soon, the AC installation process was back in gear. Troy and Rodney worked their backsides off making sure everything was done correctly. At the completion of the install, they went over everything related to the operation of the unit. Those two tech along with the many others involved confirm my confidence in Ragsdale. I would not write this article if I could not stand behind my words of testimony. Very impressed and have recommended to others. Sometime, the best judgement is not the expected work, but what will they do if something does not go as planned. As far as I am concerned, they went out of their way. Troy, Rodney, and all involved get a BIG thanks from me.

So far, the service our family has received from Ragsdale Heating, Air and Plumbing has been excellent. We have been using their services for nearly a year now. The first time a Ragsdale technician came to our house was due to some issues we were having with the air conditioner last spring. The problem was easily resolved and we signed up for a service contract for the maintenance of our furnace and air conditioner. Today, two technicians from Ragsdale, Heating, Air and Plumbing came out to our house for a maintenance check of our furnace and air conditioner. The window I chose for their arrival was between 10 am and 2 pm. They arrived at 10:15; a pleasant surprise since I didnt have to wait for the full 4 hour window. The last time a technician came out to fulfill the service contract was during the Fall of 2013. Each and every technician that has been sent to our house has been friendly, professional, courteous, and on time. There were NO pushy sales tactics or anything like that; just the honest truth about the condition of our units and the possibility that we may need to change a part on one of our units later but it wasnt urgent. I dont remember the exact cost of the service contract but I do know that it was not some exhorbitant amount (it was less than $200 I believe). And that was a good price for us considering that we had not regularly maintained our units during the 5 years we had been in our home. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new service provider for their air conditioner and furnace.
