Ive read all of the good reviews so I must have just had some bad luck. My experience was horrible. During his arrival, the handyman accidentally tore up the edge of my newly planted lawn and left red mud on the driveway. He mounted the tv bracket much higher than we agreed to at the outset so had to lower it, taking a full hour ($150) get the bracket on and place the tv in it. (The wall was already set up for the tv, i.e., the opening was there, the cable wires were already threaded through.) Mounting the tv should not have taken anywhere near that long and, I believe, if he had carefully measured before the first drilling there would have been no need to re-do it to a watchable angle and I would not be left with ugly holes on my new wall, visible from the sides of the room. I had him stay one additional hour because nothing else on my to-do list had gotten accomplished. It was not cost effective so after 2 hours total I had him wrap it up and I completed the rest of the items myself. The charge was $230, with no one mentioning the discount coupon available online. After I paid, I was informed that there is a lower rate for half a day. I contacted Trusted Toolbox about the experience, including the mess in my driveway, the extra holes in my wall, and the full price charge for the time wasted after having mounted the tv too high to watch. Trusted Toolbox had the same man come back to my house the following afternoon to wash off the dirt on the driveway. They seem to expect the subdivision developer to repair their damage to my lawn, although they never informed me that they took any steps to arrange for that to happen or that anyone was paid anything to do it. Its been more than two weeks and no repair to my lawn has taken place. (A couple of pieces of sod could have quickly rectified it.) They never responded to my concern about the charge or the damage to my wall. I would never use them again. Luckily, Ive gotten strong recommendations for other reliable handymen that charge far less.

My first ever Google review. We moved into a new house this year and needed a basement bar built. The only real "design" we had was the we wanted it to look rustic. We sat down with the project manager Randy and came up with a great design. Randy sourced the wood - no easy task and given my lack of instruction and he picked out the perfect wood. New wood that was made to look aged - never knew such a thing existed. We then tweaked the design. The finished product included new cabinets which had "old looking" wood on top of new, They outsourced the third "leg" of the bar which is a movable table. They also built a 13 foot bench with storage as well as rustic shelving with hidden supports. When we wanted to change something mid stream, no problem. When we wanted something done a different way, no problem. During the process i spent a lot of time talking to Brian M, the master carpenter. Having just built a house dealing with what seems like hundreds of contractors, it was great to run across a man with terrific skill, but more importantly, unwavering pride in his craft. A true professional. They blew away our expections. I just regret two things: 1. we cannot post pictures of their amazing work on this review (is someone knows how, please let me know) and 2. we dont have any current need for their services. i will call on them anytime I can use their services.

First off, I have used The Trusted Toolbox in the past many times. Ive given them a lot of business at my old house. I had good and not so good experiences with them; however, what they just did solidifies not ever using them again. I asked The Trusted Toolbox for a quote to finish the plumbing on in my basement bathroom. After a week of waiting for a quote, I emailed them asking them if it was ready. I received a quote that was in line with other quotes that I received from other companies. THE NEXT DAY, I received another quote that was $700 higher than the first quote. When I asked why I received two quotes, I received an email (4 days later) saying the first quote was a rough estimate. I would say that was pretty rough... $700 more? I told them that I felt what they did was unprofessional (especially since it was now WAY more than other quotes I received), and all I was offered was a $100 coupon. Most companies that Ive worked for and with, if they make a mistake like this they will honor the first quote, or come closer to it. Not The Trusted Toolbox... Im taking my business elsewhere from now on.

We recently had a leak in our shower pan in our back bathroom. After the insurance paid to have the liner removed we decided this was a good time to remodel our mid 60s pink bathroom. Tim came out and gave us a reasonable estimate and we accepted. Our project manager Greg kept us informed all along the way. Scott, John, and Savage all performed excellent work on structural and finishing touches. The tile crew were true artists, making our small 4 ft by 8 ft 3/4 bath look like one in a magazine. When we couldnt find a medicine cabinet like we wanted, Savage custom made it for us! Even when we added a little more to the job, it was all taken in stride and completed cheerfully. I cannot tell you how much we love our new bathroom and the minor modification we added in the master bath. I heartily recommend The Trusted Toolbox and will call them when we are ready to remodel the master bath completely.

The word ‘Trusted’ in The Trusted Toolbox’s name is unquestionably true. Our building serves as a best-in-class demonstration facility and, as its facility manager, I am always looking for top-quality, detail-oriented vendors to call upon for building projects. We were fortunate enough to find The Trusted Toolbox through a Google search and, once they performed their first job, we knew there was no need to look any further. Our usual service technician, Ted, is not only friendly and courteous but, more importantly, extremely handy and efficient. We look forward to continuing our relationship with The Trusted Toolbox as there are always projects that come up that need an expert’s touch. If you need excellent handyman services then look no further! I would certainly recommend The Trusted Toolbox to take care of all of your handyman needs.

We have just started using Trusted Toolbox for a possible kitchen renovation and decided to redo our pantry and turn a closet into a china closet before embarking on the actual remodel project. Trusted Toolbox sent us Brian Melancon for the carpentry on this project. We were astonished at his capability and workmanship on this sort of "small" endeavor but now have NO fears that he will be able to construct a beautiful island for our new kitchen. He is friendly, punctual and attends to every detail with impeccable attention!!! We are looking forward to having him around for the rest of the renovation - he is personable and quiet when he needs to be, but also visits well when possible. He EVEN brought my husband some Louisiana red beans and rice for lunch!!!!
