Of the eight professional moves I have completed, this one was the worst. The move was from a house in Atlanta to an apartment and storage in North Carolina. The move was supposed to be a one and half day pack and one and half day load with a Saturday delivery. We worked hard to segregate and label the two different groups but they still messed it up. The driver did not want to deliver on Saturday so she used extra staff to pack in less than a day and loaded until 11 at night the next day. She said if we did not take the delivery on Friday it would be Monday before it would be delivered. Because of the extra staff and the fact they did not speak English, it was impossible to monitor them. They packed lamps for the apartment in boxes labeled for apartment and the shades in boxes labeled for storage. Similar event for my computer – CPU and monitor ended up in the apartment and cords ended up in storage. We grouped our Playstation with the TV for the apartment and oddly enough it and our VCR did not make it. The loading crew barely spoke English and was not friendly. In the middle of loading the truck, the company called to say they misquoted the move and needed more money despite the fact my wife had packed the wardrobes and much of our stuff was already in plastic totes. The only positive part of the experience was that my household goods made it without damage (so far – a lot of boxes are in storage and yet to be unpacked) and the unloading crew from Charlotte was very friendly and efficient. Be warned about companies who do not honor their quotes and modify schedules for the convenience of their employees rather than their customers. Moves are never stress free but this one was over the top due to the rush. Obviously, I will not use Berger-Allied or any Allied moving company again nor will I recommend them to others.

I moved from Atlanta to Orlando today. I lived in a two bedroom apartment, I had not packed a single box. They were supposed to pack and load everything today, and deliver on Tuesday. The driver called me 30 minutes before he arrived, which was nice because I was given a delivery window between 8 and 12. I must say, when they first pulled up I thought they were a rag-tag group. First off, they had an old crappy looking truck, 1980 something GMC, which I later learned is a classic. Next, the driver had a 2 man crew with him, a funny talking black guy and a scrawny kid. This led me to believe that my stuff was going to be all torn up. Au contraire! Not only did these men have my 1100 sq ft apartment packed up in an hour and a half, the driver offered to deliver the same day. That just saved me a couple hundred in hotels, and also saved around $40 in gas because I drafted behind the back of the truck. All in all it was a great experience, everything made it here safely, the crew was one of a kind, and you could really tell that these men do what they do with a passion. I have already told a few friends how smooth this went, and I will be calling Berger Allied on Tuesday to let them know how satisfied I am. The drivers name is Mason. Highly recommended, super a plus!

Dont know why I am surprized they screwed us again. Perfect ottoman they damaged - did not bother to wrap it up so got dirty on truck - looks like yellow majic marker, dented top of dryer, broke chairs, lost china, to many missing items to mention = now they say ottoman was dirty, dryer was previouslhy damaged and they cant properly identify china - gave us nothing. Lots of scratches on furniture, I have spent hours with touch up markers. Awful, awful, awful. Forth time we have have been screwed by various moving companies. Never bother to move your stuff. Sell it and buy new and save yourself the hassel. The feds seriously have to get involved in this stuff = they are out of control. Tried to work with feds - they are no help.

During our move, Berger Allied damaged a lot of our stuff. After multiple complaints to our representative at Berger Allied and a claim filed, we still have not been compensated for our damaged items. I have e-mailed the company and called twice, but am not getting any satisfaction. This was the worse relocation efforts we have experienced.

Great experience! Packing crew was amazing and worked so hard. The moving crew was efficient. Everything arrived in tact, nothing was broken or in disrepair. Driver communicated with us and was even able to bring our stuff earlier than planned. Loved the guaranteed quote with no hidden fees. Overall would highly recommend.

Horrible - every piece of furniture damaged. Allied has been terrible to work with...do not use them, there are much better moving companies out there.
