This place is a total bait and switch scheme. I bought a water heater from Home Depot and got them to install it for roughly $350. When the plumber showed up, he told me that the expansion tank was too small and needed to be replaced. I called him out on that one so he went outside to talk to his dispatcher. While the bulgarian guy was outside, I ran the numbers on the expansion tanks manufacturers website and sure enough, the expansion tank was the correct tank for this application. Just to entertain their scam, I went on the Home Depot website and found a tank with twice the capacity of the one I had for roughly $50. Changing an expansion tank takes less than ten minutes, upon draining the system, which you had to do anyways to replace the heater, you screw it off and screw it back on, like a lightbulb. There are a couple of small steps inbetween, but ten minutes, tops! The bulgairan comes back and tells me that to replace the tank, it would cost roughly $260.00. I asked him what the parts and labor breakdown was, he said that the price is $260. I called his boss and was told that they would not complete the job unless I did this. I asked for the parts and labor breakdown and he refused to tell me. My guess is that their labor rate is well over $1,000/hour. I told the fella to go pound sand and sent his plumber packing. I can understand how they get away with this bait and switch scheme as most people who need a water heater needs one right then and there. Afterwards, they may or may not figure out that they got screwed. I urge everyone who thinks they may have been taken advantage of to call Home Depot and also file a complaint against their plumbers license with the Georgia Secretary of State.

We purchased 2 toilets from the Home Depot last weekend. Home Depot exclusively uses Delta Mechanical for their installations. Yesterday one of their employees came to our house to install them. End result, 1 doesn’t flush unless you hold the handle down (he disguised this while showing her the toilet works so she would sign off, then told her not to use the toilet for 3 hours so the caulk could set up) the other one has a tank that rocks (he told her that was normal!!?). We went back to the Home Depot last night to try and get someone else to come fix the problems and were told that someone would call me the next (today 9/29) morning. I did get a call from Janet who explained that she didn’t have anyone in our vicinity today and that she could have someone to our home Monday between 2 and 6. As my wife had already taken Friday afternoon off and couldn’t miss anymore work, I explained to her that someone would either need to come out today (Saturday) or after 5:30 on a weeknight. She said she would have a manager call me Monday. In the meantime we’re stuck with 2 toilets that don’t work correctly. The installer was difficult to understand and rude to my wife who has 10 plus years in commercial property management and is used to working with trades people. She said he spent a good portion of his time trying to make sure he wasn’t blamed for anything that might go wrong with the installation and also fixing phantom problems he “discovered”. Problems my wife and I both knew didn’t exist previously. Please believe me when I say I’m not taking any pleasure in this……all I wanted was a couple of toilets installed correctly. If you buy something from Home Depot let someone else install it!

Im rather surprised to see all of these bad reviews. I called Home Depot on a Saturday morning when my water heater developed a leak looking to have it replaced. Within a few minutes I had a quote on the water heater with installation, in writing, emailed to me. They schedule an install window of about 4 hours, but within 30 minutes their dispatcher called to tell me that the plumber was about 30 minutes out. The plumber arrived in about 40 minutes, not a big deal, and was very polite. He asked if his truck was parked in a good location, looked over the current water heater, went to the back of the house and checked the water pressure on a spigot there, then asked that I not use any water in the house while he was working. It took him about an hour and the water heater was installed and ready to go. We checked that water was flowing and there were no gas or water leaks on the unit. He then showed me how to operate the unit and lit the burner. He then cleaned up all of the trash and took most of it with him. The only thing he didnt take was the cardboard that was on the water heater when he brought it, but he bundled it up, asked if he could leave it in my recycling then put it next to my can. The price that was on the bill I signed was exactly what had been quoted to me and the plumber was one of the nicest and most polite plumbers I have ever dealt with. Sorry to hear so many others have had a bad experience with Delta, but my experience was top notch.

Wouldnt let them in my house again. Charged me to pope under driveway then changed entire water supply to house so that they wouldnt have to go under driveway. Cut out bad sheetrock where PB had leaked and were going to replace moldey sheetrock inless I went to store and purchased new sheetrock. (which I did) Left job with washer hose connection spraying water over entire laundry room walls. Used so much flux on cooper pipe joints that I have to pull off my faucet screens every week to clean them out or now water comes out. Installed hot water recirculating pump with lak in it that leaked so sloly that it caused the entire pump to fry out after 2 years. Still under manufacturers warranty but they will not cover it because it was installed incorrectly. Deltas labor warranty is only for one year, so guess who is stuck with $600 repair bill. Entire experience with Delta is so bad that I advise all my clients and neighbors to NOT let Delta into their house. And the sad thing is that the management of Delta Mechanical will read this review and just not care. I would call them Gypsys, but that would be an insult to Gypsys. (This review, of course, is just my opinion)

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY will double charge you!!! I had to put my credit card on file with them to reserve an install time on my water heater and was told that my card would not be charged and that I was to pay after install. My dad paid the bill on his credit card at the time of installation and his card was charged but to my dismay my card was too. I called delta mechanical corporate office and they refunded my $689 only to charge my card again for the same amount several days later. I have called every day and no one there that I spoke to is "authorized" to do a refund. They just take your number and say they will call back but no one ever does!!! I will now be going out of my way to tell everyone not to use this company or to have Home Depot send them as an installer.
