Im finishing the basement in my 1920s Oakwood home. I contracted A-Atherton to do the rough-in for the new bathroom. It was a big, hard, dirty job, requiring busting the concrete floor, removing 90 year-old cast-iron drain pipe and installing many feet of new drains, supply and vents. Despite a few unexpected delays (resulting in an extra day of work) the job STILL came in right on the original quote; and the work is exemplary. All new plumbing is lined up straight, orderly and tidy and fixtures are dead-spot-on with plan measurements, and everything passed the city building inspection on first sight. The repaired part of the basement floor is nearly indistuishable from the old. I consider myself a pretty handy guy, but an entirely new basement bath rough-in was beyond my ability. A-Atherton did a great job (without breaking the bank), did exactly what was called for, took care of all city building permits and inspections, and if I ever do another basement remodel, they will be the first AND ONLY plumbers I call.

Worst plumbing experience I have ever had. Employees are very unprofessional and rude. Called to have the main drain snaked and was charged more than the quoted price. Plumber could not use the right tools due to space restriction and could not snake the drain properly. Opened the drain with a smaller snake and the clog came back after a few days. Still charged full amount even without being able to do the job properly and left knowing they didnt do as promised. Called the plumber and he knew he messed up so I was told he would only come back if I paid 2 thousand for a new main drain. I then talked with the owner of the company and was shocked at how brass and rude she was. She told me that they would not come back out to the house. She talked with her plumber and had no interest in hearing my concerns. Problem was not solved and the money paid to this scam company wasted. I called Roto-rooter and they fixed the issues quickly and professionally for half the price with a warranty I can count on.

I am very pleased with A-Atherton. Needed to have a new hot water heater installed due to a leak. An emergency situation, and they were the only plumbing company that we could get to call us back. Tim came and did a fantastic job! Very friendly, fast, and it works like a charm. And to top it all off, the were very reasonable! Much cheaper than all the others we called. Thank you A-Atherton for the great experience! Job well done.
