On our way home to Michigan from FL we broke down on I-75. At this time it was our fourth breakdown and tow in a 38 foot motor home. We were told at our first break down we needed a fuel pump but it was the holiday on our way down to FL and they were able to fix it and guide us on how to try to avoid break down on the way to our destination. While in FL we went tried to get our MH fixed but were given different diganosis twice at hefty charges only to be disappointed to find out they were wrong and the original thing we were advised was right. So by the fourth time we demanded to be towed to a facility that can and would fix our fuel pump. Well Fred McNabb of Marietta Wrecker & his associate made the necessary phone calls before towing us and found out that Cottman could help us. We were towed in at closing time and it was the Wednesday before Easter. When we arrived they were very gracious at Cottman. They allowed us to stay in our MH they gave us the low down on the area around us, a key to the fence so we could leave & return as needed. The following morning they not only got the part but the necessary equipment they did not previously have on hand to fix our MH. All the while the employees introduced themselves with great courtesy while working hard to resolve our problem. The employees working on our unit stayed late on Thursday to make sure they had us on the road in time to be home for Easter and our granddaughters birthday. By the time we left, I felt like we had met long lost family members that had embraced us into the fold, but most importantly I was confident our problem was fixed. Thankfully, I can say it is snowbird season again and we not only made it back to Michigan from GA in the spring, but we are now back in FL from Michigan without any problems. Thank you Thank you Thank you Cottman Service for helping us in our hour of need while in totally unfamiliar territory. I have to say our total GA experience was a VERY positive one both times we broke down in GA and each and every person we met seemed more like friends than mechanics. God Bless you and keep you all this Thanksgiving Season. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANY SERVICE YOU NEED~they are honest, trust worthy and gracious and most importantly knowledgable and competent!

3 years ago they replaced the transmission on my 04 honda odyssey. I have had dozens of negative car repair experiences, and I was very defensive when they told me they wouldnt know how bad the damage was (or what the price would be) until they took it apart. I was also extremely concerned the transmission wouldnt last long...not because they were a bad shop, but because the Honda dealership service department has a history of repairing them, and having them break again within 12k miles. I asked Cottman to install an after market transmission cooler, and in doing so, they slightly nicked one of the cooling fins on the radiator causing a small leak. I called them, told them of the problem and they sent Chris out to take a look. Chris took one look and told me Cottman would take care of it. They offered to repair and replace the radiator...I was so stunned and impressed that they would offer, I told them I would do the install if they would cover the cost of the radiator. When Cottman rebuilt the transmission, they told me they would do several "upgrades" that would make it last longer...whatever they did worked. In the past 3 years I have put well over 40,000 on the van. I had owned this van since new, and I can honestly say it was shifting better than when we bought it. I noticed a smoother shifting point between 1st and 2nd. It has always had a slight "whine"...it was gone after the cottman service. This van today is driving just as it did the day I got it back from Cottman...Im confident I could put another 60k on it. In terms of price, I feel like I got a great deal. The dealership wanted 5,500 to rebuilt the transmission. If memory serves me, I paid 3,400 at Cottman. The Cottman warranty was also one of the longest. I believe the Honda warranty was 2 years/24 months. Cottmans was 3 years/36,000 miles. One shop was close to Cottman on price, but their warranty was only 12 months/12,000 miles. I could not be happier with the honesty, the quality of the work and the price they charged for it. I will drive this van for many, many years to come thanks their work.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this company. I recently had brake trouble, and being new this area, I chose the car place with the best reviews--please believe me--they have a good rating for a reason. It started when I dropped my car off after hours. I thought I would drop my car off and go, but I ran into the owner, Mr. Nicholson, who was on his way out. Even though they were closed, he brought me inside to begin my paper work, helped the tow truck driver find a spot to park, and was very friendly and supportive! I worked with a technician named Andrew who was very friendly and upfront about what my brake problems were. He recommended the services that I needed, and that were optional, and I didnt feel pressured or uncomfortable. He called me throughout the entire process to update me as needed. He did his best to explain the situation, and was cool enough to let my dad talk to him because he knows a lot more about my car than I do! My car was ready, and I could get back on the road the next day. They even called me a few days ago to ensure my car was still running good--really what auto repair shop does that? I am so impressed, I plan on taking my little Ford Focus to these guys for all my auto up-keep needs.

The shift linkage broke on my little 4-banger. Rather than doing a ton of unnecessary disassembling-for-diagnostics to force expensive payments to reassemble (as was suggested by their competitor across the street), Chris & the crew listened to my issue, was able to get inexpensive after-market parts that the OEM doesnt make, and had my car moving forward again in a few short hours. My car shifts like a dream now & doesnt squeak when i shift gears anymore. Only drawback was an $8 charge to take my credit card over the phone, but that was forced by the card company. The shop had many cars on racks in progress & a lot full waiting, which is an indicator they do lots of work & people trust them because they do a good job quickly. I hope I dont have to, but if needed i would take my car to them again.

Had my transmission rebuilt 28K miles ago by those "other folks" across the street. Two major problems since $2,500 rebuild, and of course neither covered under warranty. Reverse stops working....bring back to "other folks" and they want another $2,500 to rebuild completely. Kent and Sue at Cottman, along with Chris, were a pleasure to work with, solved my problem for less than 1/3 what the "other folks" wanted to charge me, and knocked the work out in the same day. Great local folks who run an honest business! Stop here before seeing those "other folks"!
