Findlay Roofing was hired to repair several minor leaks when we purchased our home last summer. Immediately upon moving in, we noticed that the roof where they had done the work was still leaking. After several attempts to contact them they finally sent someone out to look at the roof and told us that the problem was with skylights. They offered to replace the roof over the sun-room, but refused to do the work unless we paid around $2000 additional to have them replace the skylights, even though the water spots clearly were not from the skylights. After several more back and forth attempts at communication where they either didnt respond at all or took weeks to respond, they finally sent someone out to do a water test, which ended up proving that as we said the skylights were not leaking and that in fact the source of the leak was another part of the roof. We asked them to provide a statement for what they would or would not cover to make good on the original work, and the technician said they would and would get back to us. After not hearing anything for nearly two weeks, we contacted the office manager, Marcella Radtke, who blamed the problem on some flashing and told us that not only were they going to not fix the leak, but that they would not do any work for us in the future. This back and forth went on for more than 6 months total and the excuses, deceptions and unprofessional treatment are some of the worst I’ve ever experienced as a homeowner. Bottom line, Findlay Roofing mis-diagnosed the original leak, then blamed the problem on non-related part of the roof (which was later verified by their own people), then blamed it on flashing that they should have fixed in the first place. Findlay Roofing will not stand behind their work and will “fire” you as a customer if you try to hold them accountable. I see from the other reviews that they have a lot of positives, but if you read those, the homeowners didnt have major issues with the work – if you use them, hope that all goes well in the initial repair, because they will not make it right if they make major mistakes.

Do you need a new roof? We did. After talking to several neighbors who used Findlay Roofing we decided to call them. A salesman by the name of Shane Dawson came over and gave us an estimate. The estimate seemed like a fair price but unfortunately our insurance would not pay for a new roof. So my wife and I started to save our money. I realize that insurance money is no different than your out of pocket money, but you know what I mean. Later on in the year we saved enough money for the new roof. Shane said prices had gone up but he would honor the original quote. So we started the process and Findlay installed our new roof. After the install my wife and I noticed a few imperfections in the drip edge. Tony Wyss the Co-Owner of Findlay Roofing made it clear that “he would not be happy until we were happy”. How many roofing companies would do that? Stand behind their product and workmanship? Well, they did. Our roof and drip edge looks great. It was installed with the quality and perfection that we expected from Findlay Roofing. I know your home is probably one of the largest investments most people will ever make. And a roof is probably one of the most expensive improvements you will make. Findlay Roofing has a great warranty. If you are in the market for a new roof I would not hesitate to give them a call. They really did treat us well. Thank you Tony Wyss and Findlay Roofing! My wife and I are happy with the final product.

In May 2013, as we were preparing to buy a new house, our real estate agent and inspector recommended that we have the roof inspected by an independent roofing company. We called Findlay Roofing. They came out to the house and only found a small area of the roof that needed repair and they gave us an estimate for that repair. We scheduled them to do the repair work multiple times and they kept not showing up. I guess because it was such a small job, we kept getting moved to bottom of the list. We finally got the work done and they left a mess behind. There were stray shingles left on the roof and roofing nails in the driveway. (My husband found one nail the hard way). The first week we moved in, there were heavy rains in Cobb County and our roof leaked. Now, every time we have even moderate rain, we find a new leak (so far: foyer, kitchen, and multiple spots in the dining room). We will now be spending $8k to replace this roof that should have been replaced before we bought the house. If Findlay had done an adequate job in their inspection, the seller would have had to pay it instead of us. Needless to say, we won’t be giving Findlay Roofing another shot.

Findlay quote me installation of 3 skylights with ice&water barrier and replace shingles on first story of my house. But they only install the 3 skylights with no ice&water barrier and only replace the shingles around the skylights. Asked the installer what if it leaked. He said the will come back and install the ice&water barrier since we got the warranty. I complained and they came back a few days later to install ice&water on one of the skylights but only replaced shingles on part of the first story roof. The picture clearly show that only shingles around the roof is replaced, not all shingles. I have proof, in writing, of what they supposed to so considering legal actions against this company. Update: They came back (3rd time) and replaced the rest of the shingles as quoted. The work looks good but no water barriers were installed on some skylights. It is on a steep roof and should be fine. It didnt leak with a thunder storm the other day. Quotation and scheduling was quick and easy but not impressed the installer. Installer just want to get in/out quickly.

A couple of my neighbors got hail damage from the storms back in April. They recommended I call get my roof looked at too. A friend told me to call Findlay Roofing to take a look before I called my insurance company. They came out the next day. The salesman got on the roof for the free inspection. He took several pictures to show me how bad the hail damage was and to call my insurance company asap. He asked me once I scheduled with the adjuster to call his office and schedule him to come out at the same time. My insurer approved me for an entire roof replacement. By the end of the following week Findlay Roofing had roof completely finished. I would definitely recommend them to anyone that is in the market for a roof. The entire process was very professional and they kept me in the loop on everything . I will be upgrading my gutters early next year and will be using these guys again.

I called Findlay after I heard an ad on the radio for a minor roof repair job. Findlay employees said I had hail damage and told me I needed to ask for a re-inspection of my roof (I already had roof inspected by insurance and they said no hail damage). I asked if they could meet the insurance company out at my home to point out the hail and they said yes. They even took pictures of the hail damage to show insurance company. When the day came for them to meet the insurance person at my house they "no call, no showed". A week later and I have yet to hear from them. Now the second insurance person says there is no hail damage and I am now out of luck. Findlay also said they cant do a roof repair on my home due to distance, yet they have a Findlay Roofing billboard 9.7 miles from my home (12 minute drive) and initially said they could do the repair. It was a disappointing experience.
