I called Academy Roofing to have a leak in our 12-year old roof fixed. Tom came out and charged a flat-fee for the fix that came with a warranty. Unfortunately, the next time it rained, we still had a leak... I called Tom and he added us to his schedule, came back out and was able to get the leak stopped on his second visit. I appreciate a company who will stand behind their work and if its not right, will come back and make it right. Very few roofers in the Atlanta area had any interest in a roof repair job. Most only wanted to replace the full roof. In our case, I am not ready to purchase a new roof, but will be doing so in the next six months, as the 20-year shingles have begun to curl and show signs of aging. When ready, I will call Academy out to replace the roof.

They put the roof on my house about 7 years ago. I bought the house with their roof already in place. I have leaks in multiple places, and they have been out to "fix" it several times at no charge. There has been no storm damage, and the problem may be attributable to the slope of the roof. My complaint is that either one, they put the wrong roof on the house, or two it was improperly installed. Either way, I have a 7 year roof with multiple leaks and now rotting wood in multiple places. I was told by Academy that the old owner is no longer there, and the new owner is not responsible for any roofing jobs done by previous ownership. I believe that I will need to buy a new roof.

Scott came by and let me know exactly why my roof was leaking. We discussed the options (replace flashing and shingles in leaky area, replace whole roof, etc.). In the end we decided the roof was in pretty good shape overall and that the leaks were coming through small holes in the dated flashing. Its not the repair he recommends as its not very professional, but it should get me by until the whole roof is replaced in 5 years or so. He even gave me a tube of professional sealant...the kind you cant buy at the corner hardware store...no charge. I will definitely be calling Academy Roofing the next time my roof needs work. I highly recommend them.

My husband and I needed repairs on our roof where a branch fell and left a hole. This resulted in water damage to the surrounding area. We are VERY pleased with the work Academy did. Tom was very personable and informative- we have found "our roof guy". The work was done as scheduled and with good workmanship. The pricing was better than the other big company we compared with. When we replace the whole roof, we know who we will be calling. We will definitely use them again and recommend to family and friends.

Had our roof replaced in 2007. The experience was pain free! They did a great job putting on the new roof and cleaning up after. We had to call about 2 years ago to have the roof checked for hail damage, thank goodness we were good! Now we are ready to sell. I had misplaced our paperwork so I called. Nancy sent the needed information quickly and then answered my questions about transferring the warranty to the new owners. 10 years and not one single problem!

The quality of the workmanship and the materials were good and they went the extra mile to provide a custom tray to fit in a narrow gap by a dormer window.
