What a scam! I called these guys because I liked their idea of sending proceeds of their projects to charity. I had a very minor roof leak that that was easy to see and repair so I called them to look at it. I met the young kid that showed up to the appointment outside and he didnt even get to the front door before saying "you know you have a discontinued shingle, right?" So of course, he is starting his sales call to try and sell me a whole new roof. I told him that I was a former contractor and a understand the "you need a new roof scam" and not to pull that on me. The roof is only 10 years old. He then looked at the issue by getting on the roof and the said that "there is major damage and that it would cost $1100 to repair but thats probably close to your deductible so you might as well get a new roof." I asked him if he took pictures that he could show me and he said well, it was hard to see so I didnt take pictures but your shingles are falling off the roof in several areas. SCAM!!! They have no desire to do a minor repair. I called this guy our on this and he told me that I didnt need a roofing contractor but a Hispanic from The Home Depot parking lot. I sent him in his way and told him to send a realistic bid in if he would like to do the repair. I understand that they would send a laborer over, pay them $50 for 15 mins of work, I would be happy to pay 5 times that and everyone wins. He was never to be heard from again. These guys have NO desire to repair roofs, just replace them. They want to meet with your insurance agent, take the total amount they give you, pay off your deducible you and take the rest. They say "we will get you a free roof." They do this by vastly overcharging in the first place. You can build the roof by hiring a contractor yourself at 60% of that cost. These guys take the inflated insurance money, hand you your deductible and make off like bandits, doing nothing but making a few phone calls. They are overcharging and hiding behind a charity to do it. End result, I hired an honest contractor who did the repair in 15 mins and charged me $300. Not a drop of water since and the contractor was licensed and provided a warranty. He provided pictures and showed me that it was a very minor and easy repair yet I was happy to pay him for his honesty. These guys are your typical roofing scammers....a dime a dozen. Do your research on the roofing process and you will see for yourself.

I called Roof it forward and they assigned Brian Gambrell to come out and give me a quote for siding for my entire house. He came by gave me a bunch of information on what I needed and what he was going to do. All of a sudden my neighbor who is a contractor started asking him questions that I certainly didnt know to ask. She asked him why was he going to do a tear-off and charge me for it if he was going to cover it and then charge me for a built on. She was like that doesnt make any since which it didn’t make any since to me either. To double charge me for work he wasnt doing. Secondly Brian said he was going to provide me with a quote in a day, never received it and then when I called him several weeks later he was like I get it to you tomorrow which was another lie... He was trying to sell me a product that wasnt up to standards and rip me off... The only thing he said to me during many conversations before coming out was we are expensive why would you tell me that especially if I didnt ask. I asked for a quote or estimate not for you to continue to tell me that you one do the job correct the first time and that you charge ridiculous amount of money to do the job. That was a total turn off especially when I never even received the quote. I totally feel like Brian Gambrell was on some BULL when he came by and must have thought he got a chump that didnt have a clue on siding or anything and most of all he wasted my time... Good thing my neighbor came down and informed Brian that I wasnt going to be ripped-off. Plus Brian acted like we were buddies when he called to talk no professionalism at all. Then he went on to tell me and my neighbor that my roof wasn’t done correctly, why are we talking about my roof when I called you out to talk about siding…Once again not professional. Where are all the honest people in this world everyone is always trying to take advantage of the people who need work done to their property?

We had a great experience with ARAC. Todd Baraff was our advisor from ARAC. We needed a new roof put on due to multiple shingles being damaged all through out the roof. Heavy wind storm went through this area in November of 2016. We also have a very good insurance company. Todd took care of everything from going over the damages with our insurance appraiser and explained everything there is to know about roof replacement. Not only did we get a great looking roof, ARAC also warranty their work for 5 years. Owens Corning shingles they used also come with very generous warranty of its own. Todd was also available all through out the day. Anytime you call him, he will answer or call you right back. He even answered the phone after 7 pm. I called him to just leave a voice mail, and I was actually surprised that picked up the phone at that time of the day, and was even willing to take his time to explain and answer all of my questions. We had pretty bad experience with other roofers in the past on our previous home...the work they completed was pretty bad, even for untrained person like myself could tell that it was a poor job by just looking at the roof. That roof also leaked, and that roofing company would not even answer our calls to fix the problem. We had to spend thousands of dollars to fix the problem on our own. So far, the roof ARAC put on looks great, and there have been several heavy rain fall since the work was completed and we have not noticed any issues. Great job and thank you ARAC!

Casey Eubanks with ARAC: Roof It Forward was able to assist me in filing a claim when my house suffered damage from a storm. Casey was out at my house the same day as I called him out to tarp my roof and temporarily stop the leaking caused by hail and wind damage. After getting the roof tarped we called my insurance company together so Casey could explain the damage to the insurance operator. Two days after reporting the claim the adjuster called me and scheduled an inspection. When it was time for the adjuster to come Casey was 15 minutes early and waited for a 2 hours on the adjuster and finally gave up and left. Twenty minutes after Casey left the adjuster showed up and I let Casey know via text. He was already 20 minutes away but turned around and made it happen. The adjuster was actually about to deny my roof claim until Casey got back and explained the existing shingle was non-repairable and pointed out damage the adjuster had over looked. I am grateful for Casey and Andrew with ARAC: Roof It Forward. They turned a $15k dollar nightmare into the cost of my insurance deductible. The crews they used were well mannered, very clean, and very efficient. Brendan and the interior guys transformed my broken house to the home I originally knew.
