Working with HKC roofing was a wonderful experience. If every home repair company was similar to HKC we wouldnt need a rating system like this! There are three things I look for in a service provider for my home: Professionalism, Quality, and Cost. I give them top marks for all three. I was having some leaks in my roof and reached out to HKC. I was contacted immediately by Ed, who followed up several times to make sure he reached me. He stayed in contact throughout the process and kept me up to date. He worked hard to get me scheduled and completed quickly, which I appreciated. The new roof that is up is perfect! It looks good and I know they used quality materials. I could not be happier with the quality. For the cost, when I say this is an important metric I dont mean it has to be the lowest cost I can find. I mean it has to be a good cost for the quality product I am getting. And HKC was. I know there are companies out there who will quote a lower cost. As I found out it was mostly because of an inferior product. One gave me a low-ball price and then wanted to charge me extra to upgrade so Id get a wind warranty. So their standard would not hold up to strong winds. Thats not low cost, thats cheap. HKC is very god cost for excellent quality - and thats the balance I am looking for. Overall I am thrilled with the experience. I would strongly recommend HKC and Ed to anyone having issues with their roof. I am actually looking forward to the next strong rain!

I initially had HKC out to do an estimate for a full roof replacement with tear-off as I had several leaks across the roof. When he arrived he commented on the good shape of the roof and asked further questions to better clarify my needs. After looking at the roof together it was determined that I didnt need an entirely new roof to eliminate my leaking problem but rather just some repair work around the penetrations. The installer of the second roof had incorrectly completed the roof install around the penetrations. This saved me quite a bit more over a whole roof replacement and showed me that they were there to help not just to make a sale. Less than a year after the repair work was done I again began to experience leaks in the same area where the repair work had been done. HKC was prompt in their response and together we again looked at the roof together. As the penetrations had been our focus before it was noticed this time that the contractor who had initially done the incorrect penetration work had also done some incorrect install through the general field. There were seams overlapping instead of being staggered and off set. HKC took the time to show me how to mitigate these issues as a temporary fix allowing me to delay a roof replacement until finances were more advantageous. Yet again they demonstrated first rate customer service which is much appreciated.

I called HKC Roofing to do some duct work for my microwaves ventilation. When Craig got to my house to provide the quote, I noticed right of way his friendly and honest nature. Very easy to talk with and he took his time getting to know me a little bit. Once we reached the microwave he quickly noticed that the model may be capable of self-ventilation. He took the time to read the owners manual and installation instructions to verify my microwaves capability. What shocked me the most was that after his verification on the manual he called the customer service line for me and helped me get the parts I needed from the microwave manufacturer. It ended up being a no quote this time around for Craig, but he definitely gained a future customer. I greatly appreciated his professionalism and sincerity, and it is not something I have been very familiar with when requesting a quotation. HKC truly showed me that they want to provide me with the best outcome even if it means they will not receive the order. For putting my needs first, HKC has earned my trust and made a future customer out of me. I will definitely be calling them again, and I strongly recommend to anyone that reads this to consider them to at least provide a quote. You will be impressed and appreciative of their ethical approach to serve you. The opportunity is yours, customer service like this is not common.

HKC Roofing provided excellent service throughout the sales process all the way through installation. Chris was our salesperson. He did a great job answering all of my questions about the project as I took quotes from HKC and two other companies. The CertainTeed Landmark Pro shingles that they used are very highly rated. Chris worked hard in providing us samples and a place to look at the same roof color that we wanted. In the end, HKCs bid was considerably less than the two other companies and I compared them closely to make sure I was comparing similar work. Scheduling was very easy. I was home when they arrived for installation, and they took great care to protect our plants, landscape lighting, and everything else around our home. There workman were very professional and polite. The end result looks great. We love the new roof; it changes the appearance of the entire house. HKC was an excellent choice and I would recommend them to anyone looking for roof replacement or repair. I will use them in the future for a siding project that we want to do. A top-notch company!

I had HKC patch a portion of my roof last summer for a very reasonable price, and the patch worked great. Unfortunately a few months later my roof sprung a new leak in a different area, so I decided it was time to get a new roof entirely. I worked with Chris, who was incredibly helpful and had very good communication with me to reach an agreement on price and then to keep me informed on when the work would happen. I did this during the winter months, and unfortunately is was too cold to get anything done, but once the weather finally cleared up and warmed up they came out and got the work done in a single day. They tore off the old shingles, replaced some bad wood, put new shingles on and replaced a skylight. A few days after this we had some heavy rains and strong winds, and so far I havent found any water leaking in anywhere, so it seems that they did a great job (the roof/skylight also look very nice to boot). Ill be using them for any roofing needs in the future and cant recommend them enough.

Overall the roof looks great. However the installation process was terrible. They worked on roof until 9pm and refused to leave earlier. My young children had scool early the next morning and the nailing on the roof was keeping everyone from going to sleep. They also caused excessive damage to my patio including deep scratches. They came over to pressure wash it claiming that would fix it. What a joke...the scratches are still visible. I was offered $100 off my bill and I told them that wasnt enough $200 was the best they would do. My patio will cost much more than 200 to replace but that is all they would take off. I would also recommend not being home when they install. When my children and I came home and were walking up to the front door their cheap labor dropped a hatchet that slide off the roof and landed less than 6 inches from my 6 year old (which didnt seem like a problem to them). Again product was great but the installation was not a good experience.
